Meeting with Anglica again Part 2

Yona POV

My disbelief ran away too fast, as my heart started racing, making me open the glass window as cold wind entered the room and I walk towards the garden.

Before I knew it, I had already walked over to Anglica, it was like my feet were moving on their own automatically.

As I got near her, she noticed me. She had a baffled expression. Which was filled with horror and surprise.

I stared at her as she looked back at me. We continued staring straight at each for a long time. She was the first to break the silence.

"Hello,Cordelia."

I came out of my daze and spoke,"Hello Anglica."

Silence was filled again.

I didn't know where to start and say what exactly? How was she was here? What was she doing here? Was it Karl's doing? Did he know about this?

But I knew that it wasn't right for me to ask however I was filled with curiosity and only an answer would satisfy this heart.

I inquired."What are you doing here?"

Her expression spoke of surprise and shock. She opened her mouth to answer but nothing came out.

She tried many times to escape any words out of her mouth when she finally found words to speak.

"I...I...am living here, no I...live here."

I had a frown plastered on my face just after the words reached my ears, it seemed like a lie to me as why would Karl allow her to live with his enemy? I mean the child in her womb is definitely Karl's right?

It didn't seemed to fit right!

I starred at her as she avoided my gaze. I sighed, there was no way for her to speak in this situation as in truth we were not even that close that I had the right to question.

I took a seat beside her, not a bit caring about it getting dirty.

I asked. "How are you?"

She hesitated but still gave a small smile and spoke."I am just doing fine, what about you?"

"I am also doing well."I said with an I-don't-care tone as I spoke.

After that we sat in silence for a minute or two. Just sitting like strangers, without any stories between us.

I couldn't sit like a statue for eternity! My patience had disappeared. I looked at her stomach. "How is the child doing?" I questioned.

She smiled without indifference reflecting her joy in it. "Yes! It's good and healthy, it kicks often whenever I speak." She still answered a small smile lingering on her face. We both smiled at that

"Is that so? It must be trying to communicate with it's mother." I responded while constantly glancing at her stomach and then right at her face.

She cracked a smile in the process of  touching her stomach, rubbing it left and right.

I asked,"Do you know it's gender yet? It's already near the labour time."

"Yes, just recently I got to know, it's a boy!" She grinned with joy leaking from her mouth.

A small smile crept on my face as I glanced at her and spoke. "Congratulations!"

"I appreciate it! Thank you for your concern!" She replied back while facing me this time.

For unknown reason, I noticed that when ever it comes to her child, she seems very happy. If she was with the future Kino, he would be different.

I really didn't know what had actually happened for Kino to have no one except the Sakamaki name. If he had a better childhood, he would have been better.

I stared at her with sympathy for her and that child of hers. Maybe she caught me glancing at her frequently as she looked at me and asked.

"What's wrong?"

I answered with a shake of my head. "

Nothing..."

Once again an uncomfortable silence entered the atmosphere as I heard her mumbling something.

I looked confused and spoke

"What did you say?"

She kept her head low as her black silky hair covered her face, enabling only one of her eyes to be seen. She spoke with hesitation.

"I...I...live here because of the reason..."

I asked with a serious strong look. "Because?..."

"Because...because...this is my--"

"What are you doing here? Lady Cordelia?!"

Before she could finish her sentence, an unknown voice interrupted her and it was none other than the host of this house and who hosted the party;

Lady Romane.

The voice expressed anger at the same time, while Anglica shrank with fear as she looked at Lady Romane.

She looked as if she feared her?

Her complexion looked pale as If she could faint any minute.

It surprised me before I could do anything...I was brought back to reality.

I spoke with confidence in my voice. "Lady, I am here with my acquaintance here. There shouldn't be any fuss about us meeting each other." I finished a cold stern voice. In this situation I was the one controlling and dominating my wants.

Anglica looked at me awe while Lady Romane glared at me in anger. At the end, I left her speechless. Of course because of my sharp amazing convincing techniques!

I knew it was time for me to go.

I stood up and straightened my dress. "It is late, I will be going then Lady Romane and Lady Anglica. Please excuse me for now.

It's quite late as my children must be looking forward to seeing me." I finished while giving a sharp look to Lady Romane.

Anglica leaned back in her seat as she heard my formal address of her. She looked at me as if she had seen a ghost, she mumbled something as I walked towards the door.

Currently, I have complicated emotions. I really wanted Anglica to stop me, let me know that she needed my help so I can help her.

I walked slowly like hoping of being stop.

"Stop!!"

I was right. I immediately stopped in my tracks. But not by Anglica but by that awful lady: "Lady Cordelia, next time don't roam around my mansion or else I would have to have a talk with your husband."

This leech! I sneered, as I looked at her. This woman really makes me wanna become a murder.

I spoke with a bright smile on my face that was obviously genuinely fake and lacked any real emotion.

"Don't concern yourself Lady, It won't occur next time. Since there would be no next time."

Her expression became quite ugly, as her face was already quite horrendous. Truth to be told! Do you believe I care about this woman standing here who holds no brain in my eyes? Absolutely no!

I turned and walked away without even looking at Anglica, even though I could feel her stare at me.

I felt like I could have helped her, but if she won't seek my aid...my hands are tied.

I came out of the mansion looking for my carriage while thinking about this whole awful situation that just took place. While I was deep in my thoughts, I saw my carriage arriving. I hopped on and took a seat while elegantly composing myself.

I sighed as I rested on the comfy soft material of the seat. It was a hectic day filled with surprises. It tired me out! Now i was really desperate to see my lovely sons for some reason. I feel like I didn't want to be separated from them. An unknown warmth for them developed in my heart. I chuckled happily just thinking about the three little lovely boys.

I closed my eyes, thinking of just taking a nap for a while. To rest my mind and soul. Just to rest for now. I don't want to think of the future right now! Not now. Something doesn't feel right.

The darkness made me comfortable as my eyes slowly closed. Making me fall asleep.
