Something is wrong.

I get up from my bed groggily. Something felt wrong, but I couldn't tell what it was. I stood up to grab my phone and check the time. 2:45 pm.

I still have that unnerving feeling as I take a look at my room and notice something off. Someone had moved my room. My room was completely mirrored across the door.

Who the hell did this while I was sleeping? I don't know if it would even be possible, but I can't leave out the possibility. But what would be the purpose?

I quickly change into regular clothing and grab a baseball bat from my closet. I don't know if someone is still in my house, but if they are I would beat the fuck out of them.

I went out of my room to check the bathroom and find no one inside, but everything was also mirrored. After checking the bathroom, I go to the living room and notice it was also mirrored. The last place I needed to check was the kitchen and what do you know it was also mirrored.

This is too strange. There is no way I wouldn't have woken up with all the sound they would have made from moving everything, but I couldn't think of any other explanation.

Should I call the police? I dial 911 on my phone, but no one answers. What kinda shit is this? I decided to bike my way to the police station to report this.

I take my bike outside and ride to the police station. On my way to the police station, I notice as I leave the residential area that the streets are awfully quiet. Although I was already out of the residential area it still managed to stay completely silent. There were no people.

Where is everybody at? No one was on the road, streets, or stores. Everything was devoid of people. Am I all alone? I spent the entire day checking street after street and store after store, but there was no one.

I had no idea what happened to everyone. I was too tired from biking around the city, so I went home and laid down on my bed immediately falling asleep.

The next morning, I began to try to find out more by searching the internet. I kept trying, but no matter what I checked nothing was updated. I was finally convinced no one else was left on Earth.

So what am I going to do now? Should I kill myself? Who am I kidding, I'm too much of a pussy to kill myself, and it's not like I'm depressed… yet. So I guess I'll just do whatever interests me.

(10 Years Later)

Over the ten years, I've spent alone on Earth, I've noticed some differences that were not here before. Ten years mostly spent on writing either novels of my own or fanfiction, I noticed that I might be in an alternate Earth where there are no longer humans living.

My first clue was when I first woke up that day. Everything had been mirrored, but no one did it. My second clue was obviously the missing people on Earth. My third clue was that some things did not exist in this world. Some shops did not exist while some shops existed which I've never seen before. As I did the research for my novels and fanfictions some novels did not exist like Mushoku Tensei, Solo Leveling, and Everyone Else is a Returnee.

There was no way I would find out why this all happened. For all I know this could have been the work of God. If he even exists.

Now that I've been here for ten years, I wanted to attempt at learning how to hunt. Luckily it was only the humans that were gone, and there were still animals here.

It was easy finding a gun. The hard part was learning how to use it, but it was fun. I wasn't worried about how long it would take to learn because I had plenty of time.

(43 Years Later)

I've noticed one more additional thing. I was biologically immortal. I still bled like a human, but over the fifty years, I never grew older. I still don't know for sure if I will live forever, but I can only hope.

It was becoming too easy to go against any type of animal on land. I needed to add some more difficulty.

I decided I would begin to learn how to use a sword.

(92 Years Later)

I was still alive after one hundred and forty-five years. I guess I will live forever unless I kill myself.

After ninety-two years of training the sword through videos, textbooks, and practical experience with animals, I was sure no one would be able to beat me if they were human.

All of the years I spent training, I had developed my very own style of swordsmanship. I still knew I could improve upon myself, but I wanted to travel the world now after spending one hundred and forty-five years in the United States.

So I began my trip to explore all of South America. Throughout my trip, I never forgot to keep on training. It was enjoyable becoming better and better at something.

While I was traveling, I set a new goal for myself. The goal was to learn the language of the places I visit so I could read and speak it.

(226 Years Later)

I had completed touring around the western hemisphere enjoying my time alone. I still kept up with my learning along with learning a couple of languages.

It was now time to learn how to cross the Atlantic. I needed to take my time learning the routes and learn how to properly sail a ship.

(11 Years Later)

I took my time learning how to get to the other side of the world because I didn't want to drown and die from a mistake. I could never be too careful even after three hundred and eighty-one years.

(249 Years Later)

I had done enough exploring of the African and European continent. It was time to move on to the Asian continent then Australia.

(287 Years Later)

I wasn't done visiting each country in Asia, but I had grown impatient and got ahead in all languages. I had achieved mastery in all known languages, and now I was arriving in South Korea.

(1 Year Later)

After a year of being in South Korea, I had noticed something in the distance. It's probably some animal or something. I think it's fighting something right now.

As I got closer, I noticed that it was not an animal. It was a human being but with wings. I immediately sprinted towards her when I noticed the thing she was fighting was another person. It was a man and a woman. The closer I got the more I could identify.

The woman looked pretty much like an angel. Her most notable features were her white, feathery wings, blonde hair, and big breasts. The man looked like the average Korean male with black hair. The most notable thing about him was his muscles. He had the perfect physique made for fighting.

"HEEEYY, LOOK OVER HERE!"

At my shout, they quickly jolted their necks towards my direction. The closer I got, the warier they grew. The man stepped forward and asked,

"Who are you? Where did you come from?"

"Are you talking about my name? My name is… um… I can't remember. It's been a while since I've said my name to someone."

"Hmm… Lita was there someone else left behind that you didn't tell me about?"

"Not that I was informed about. He might have also been left behind."

"I guess not only did God forget about me but possibly this guy too."

"God? What are you guys talking about? And how the hell does she have wings? Is she perhaps an angel? How come everyone else is gone?"

"Well, I think you should sit down and let her explain what happened."

"So the Great Cataclysm on Earth had been perceived by Lord God, and to prepare for that God sent all of humanity to countless other worlds. And during that process, you both were left out for some reason."

"And what is the Great Cataclysm?"

"It means that the experience of the Earth is full and it is leveling up to the next level"

"Leveling up? What do you mean by that?"

"A higher system of energy than it is now will be opened on Earth called mana. Also, the Akashic Records will come into contact with the Earth, and the humans will receive the right to see some of its records called status."

"Why has it been taking so long?"

"Well, it was originally supposed to be ten years, but there was a big deviation in the time axis."

So God and angels exist, and we're getting a status. And why does this all sound familiar?

"The fact that mana will be opened to Earth means that animals will evolve from mana, becoming monsters…anyway, it means that you will have to confront them."

The more she spoke the more familiar everything seemed… Ah! Let me check my phone.

When my years of solitude began, I remember enjoying writing new novels or writing about pre-existing novels… well existing in a different reality.

Searching through the titles I noted one in particular, Everyone Else is a Returnee.

As I read the prologue, I now understood everything. I somehow got sent to the world of Everyone Else is a Returnee.

"Hello? What are you doing on your phone?"

"Oh, sorry it's been a long time since I've seen someone so I was trying to remember my name on my phone. My name is uhhh… Alexander Arcani."

I made up a quick excuse as to why I was looking through my phone and searched till I found my name.

"Well, Alexander as you know, I am Lita."

"And I am Yu IlHan."

"Since you've answered my questions, you guys can ask me whatever you want."

"So what have you been doing these past years?"

"Well my memories are kinda hazy, but in the beginning, I just either read novels or wrote some."

I had told a summarized version of what I had been doing alone all this time.

"So that's what I've been doing in this solitude."

After finishing my story, they both gave me a sad look. Ilhan could somewhat sympathize with me while Lita imagined what IlHan had gone through, but unlike him, I was completely alone.

"At least you'll see your family and friends."

"It's not like I would remember them. I'm an orphan, and I probably didn't have any friends anyway."

Lita gave me a wry look while IlHan looked at her with a face that said 'you are making things worse.'

"Don't worry about it. Now I can become friends with you two."

"Ok. We can at least keep each other from going insane until everyone comes back."

(81 Year Later)

Over the eighty-one years, I spent only training on my sword. Now that I knew about my situation the only thing I could do was get stronger. Luckily, I had two people who could help.

IlHan either spent his time training or forging. I only spent my time training by myself or with them.

Every time I sparred against IlHan he would beat me with his spear, but if he used any other weapon I would win. As long as I kept my eyes on him, his concealment wouldn't affect me. There was no way I would win against Lita even if IlHan and I teamed up against her there is no way we could beat a fifth class.

Today was the day everyone was coming back. Unlike IlHan, I kept track of the years since the beginning. It was time to level up and survive.

While we were together Ilhan noticed something was wrong.

"Something is moving."

"What is moving?"

"Your sword."

"What? Kyaaaa! No!"

The crappy sword on Lita's waist began vibrating furiously. Not only that. The cars on the street, the clothes Yu IlHan and I were wearing, and others that made up the world were showing movement.

The world was returning to the time when time first stopped.

"They are all the ones that were moved or changed since time stopped on Earth!"

"Rather than that, do something about this sword."

"I'll make you something better so why don't you give up on it?"

"Never!"

While Lita was flustered and praying while grabbing on to the shabby sword, IlHan's and my body finally also moved against our will.

We were being sent to where we originally were at the beginning.

"Before I go, let's meet up eventually so goodbye."

I couldn't hear their answer. I only managed to say that before being sent back to the United States. Then I finally stopped on top of a bed. The bed I woke up on when I first came to this world.

After a couple of hours, I felt a cool, luminous, wondrous, strong energy. When my heartbeat, that energy also beat along with the heart as if it was originally like that. This was obviously mana.

Hmm. How do I check the system? Status.

First time I've written something so character interactions might be trash. My grammar is way better than a lot of shit here on we novel though.
