Chapter 82: Advice(4)

Luke yawned secretly while standing in line inside the crown prince's palace. He is now with the other high ranking nobles that are invited to the party by King Berg of Thea kingdom. Luke frowned.

'Damn it, just when will we go already? I've been standing here for hours.'

Luke got here early because he came here with Noah who is also in charge of the knights and the safety of the nobles. If Luke knew that he needed to wait for this long, then he'll just still be in the mansion sleeping peacefully.

"Hey, is he Luke?"

"Yes he is, look, Silver hair and purple eyes."

"He is also with swordmaster Liam!"

"He looks so cool in formal clothes."

"Who is that handsome man besides them?"

"I don't know. Is he also a knight?"

Luke wanted to cover his ears because of all the blabbering around him. Luke just sighed and fixed his brooch. He didn't wear his black coat this time. It was because Noah forced him to wear something else. And now he is wearing black formal clothes with black pants.

"His highnesses, the crown prince, second prince, third prince, and fourth prince is entering."

Luke looked straight and sighed. Finally, they're here. They are the only people that the people was waiting for to finally depart. While Luke was looking straight at the princes, he felt someone tugging his sleeves. He turned his head and saw Norman Wervey smiling at him.

"Oh? Sir Norman?"

"Hehe, long time no see Luke."

Luke smiled at Norman.

"Long time no see, how is the territory doing?"

Norman then made a proud face.

"It is doing great. Our security also strengthen ten times than before. Now, even ants can't come in."

"It is nice to hear that you're all doing great. How about your mother? Is she not coming?"

Norman smiled.

"Mother said that she'll take care of things while I'm gone. She also said that to make sure to say hi to you for her."

"Hmm, please also give my greetings to Miss Wervey when you got home."

"Yes, of course."

Luke and Norman then converse happily. All the nobles saw this close relationship and started to murmur around.

"They're close?"

"I thought that it is young master Luke who exposed the slave trade in the Wervey territory?"

"Aren't they supposed to be enemies?"

Erdene and Liam heard most of the murmurs and started to look around more warily. Liam then starts to look around with a sharp gaze while Erdene was just being wary because he finds the conversation of the nobles quite interesting so he wanted to hear more.

Luke could hear people whispering around him but he didn't give a damn about them. He just focuses on speaking with Norman. While speaking with Norman, he could feel someone tagging his sleeves again so he turned around and saw Lance smiling majestically at him. He had a bad feeling about this.

"Brother, why don't you stand in front with me?"

"Hmm? May I ask why, your highness?"

"Do I even need to give the reason? You are my brother! Of course you need to be by my side."

"But...."

Luke peeked at Norman. He prays that Norman will get what his gaze meant and stop Lance from taking him away but Norman just smiled and waved his hands.

"No need to stay with me Luke, you can go with his highness."

Luke was speechless. He can't believe that Norman didn't get what he meant and felt utterly betrayed. He has no choice but to follow Lance, who keeps tugging him. Luke just sighed in annoyance and followed behind Lance who is secretly smirking at him. Luke and Lance then arrived in front and Lance whispered towards Luke's ear.

"You will help me make acquaintance with the other kingdoms. Especially with the Gron kingdom. I heard that you are friends with him right? Help me out if you want to destroy the empire."

Luke just sighed and nodded weakly. Lance then smiled and patted Luke's back.

The nobles who were behind then looked at them with shocked and bewildered faces. They didn't expect that the crown prince and Luke would be so close with each other. They have a brotherly air around them and could even call each other brother in public. Even the other princes behind them are speechless.

Lance ignored those stares and looked at the mages and nodded at them. The mages then started to cast a large teleportation spells under the nobles. After the light of the teleportation faded, they are now teleported in front of a large double door. Behind that door must be probably where the banquet hall is.

Luke saw some white knights beside the door. The knights bowed towards them and opened the big door. When the door opened, Luke saw a large hall with many nobles in it. It's so fancy.

"The princes and nobles of Reece kingdom is here!"

The announcer announced the Reece's kingdom's arrival and all of the nobles in the hall looked at them. They saw the Reece kingdom coming in but they are not focus on the nobles, but to the two eye catching figures in the front. The one with shining gold hair and the one with shining silver long hair. They then immediately realized who they are, they are Lance and Luke of the Reece kingdom.

Lance is emitting a majestic air around him while wearing pure white clothes while Luke was just walking by his side with fancy and elegant black clothes. The people were stunned while looking at them. They then thought:

'They are like the sun and moon.'

Lance's majestic shining golden hair deeply reminds them of the bright and powerful sun that everyone sees everyday while Luke's silver hair reminded them of the color of the mysterious yet beautiful moon that shines at night.

While being unknowingly praised, Luke just looked around and flinched. He then saw Alexia walking towards him with a knight behind her. Luke just stared at them approaching him with a smile. Alexia then stopped a feet away from Luke and bowed slightly which made Luke nervous and shock the nobles and princes around the hall.

"Welcome to our kingdom. My dear savior."

Luke got the chills. He then looks around and saw Lance looking at him with wide eyes. Luke just gulped and spoke in a nervous manner.

"Ahahaha.... I am not your savior. You must've mistaken me for the wrong guy-"

"Oh please don't be shy. You deserve as much praises there is in the whole world."

Luke looked at Alexia's smiling face with a constipated look. He doesn't like where this is going. And something tells him that this isn't the end. And then he heard it, a happy chorus voice.

"MY FRIEND!"

Luke just ignored it because there are many people here to be called a 'friend'. But those two happy chorus voices seems so familiar that it makes Luke sick. He then heard it again.

"Luke, My friend."

"My best friend! Luke!"

Luke looked down. He could feel endless stares on him. He wanted to get out from the hall. Luke sighed to ease his mind and looked at the two men who is happily calling him. It was Ruth and Jasper. Luke could see the two energetically approaching him. The first one to arrive was Ruth and once Ruth came close to Luke, he hugged him tight which made Luke almost breathless. Ruth then let go and Luke breath heavily which got the attention of the nobles inside the hall.

"My friend, It's good to see you again."

"Aha. Ha. Ha, it's nice to see you.... King Ruth...."

Ruth made a frowning face while looking at Luke's extremely blank face.

"I thought I said that you can call me Ruth? Call me Ruth."

"I-I believe that calling you by your name is rude-"

"Just call me Ruth. I don't mind it at all."

Luke then could feel Ruth happily squeezing his shoulders as if to encourage him to call him by his name. Luke internally shouts and cussed but smiled externally.

"T-then.... Ruth."

"Good, call me like that from now on my friend."

'That's it, I'm dead. My soul completely left my whole body out of embarrassment and annoyance. Once I revive again with my [Ten Phoenix, Ten Lives] I'll spit on your face and curse you. I swear to god Ruth.'

Luke gritted his teeth internally. He then saw Jasper happily approaching him and hugs him next. Jasper then patted Luke's back and broke the hug.

"Long time no see Luke! How have you been? You look much more paler than before. Are you alright?"

"I-I'm alright...."

Jasper then sighed in relief. They then heard Ruth's shocked voice.

"Wait. You two are friends?"

Jasper looked at Ruth and talked proudly.

"Yes, he is my friend. My very best, and closest friend!"

"What? I thought I am his best friend?"

Ruth and Jasper looked at each other for a moment before speaking.

"Wait, you are friends with Luke too?"

Ruth answers blankly like how he always does.

"Of course, He is my best friend."

Alexia looked at this with surprise and asked the two of them.

"Excuse me, your majesties, you are friends with Luke?"

Jasper and Ruth answered in chorus.

"Of course!"

Alexia, Lance and all the nobles in the hall were silent. Meanwhile, Luke was looking at this happening with dead eyes, he cannot think of any emotions to use to respond in this situation anymore. He then heard Berg and Eleanor's voice to his side.

"Ohoho, what's seem to be the commotion here?"

"Hello, young master Luke."

Luke slowly turned his head and saw Berg and Eleanor smiling at him. Berg then spoke.

"What is it that I heard? That our savior is friends with the kings of Flor and Gron?"

Ruth nodded blankly while patting Luke's stiff shoulders with his big hands.

"Of course, He is our savior."

While the people in the hall are busy processing what Ruth just said, Jasper then butted in with a proud face.

"My friend Luke here is also the savior of our kingdom! We are deeply grateful to him! "

Alexia looked at Ruth and Jasper's proud faces and frowned. She felt like she shouldn't lose to them. She then stepped forward while pointing at Luke.

"Luke saved me from my two years of suffering! He is my savior!"

The hall.... Went terribly quiet. Even the musicians and bands that were playing music in a corner all stopped playing their instruments while looking at Luke with shocked faces.

· Dad! Everyone is so shocked! Even Grandpa Erdene was speechless!

Luke wanted to cry. This is worse than having no money left in his pocket. But he can't cry because he felt so dead both inside and outside.

'....I just want to go home...."

Luke was about to turn around but then heard Eleanor's shocked voice. Just as when Luke thought things couldn't get any more worse.

"So young master Luke also saved you both?"

Ruth and Jasper nodded enthusiastically. Eleanor then smiled.

"Oh what a surprise! Luke is also our kingdoms hero! He saved us from a bunch of horrible and dangerous hooligans before!"

The hall went silent again. And Luke used this moment to sneak out instead of whining internally. Liam noticed this and helped him get out. They then went towards the balcony and Luke immediately dropped his shoulders and held onto the cold marble railings of the balcony. Liam then heard Luke's almost cry-like sigh. Liam then started to worry, he knows that Luke doesn't want attention so getting so many stares back there must be hell for him. He then flinched when he heard Luke murmuring while gripping the marble railings.

"....I want to die."

"B-brother!"

· Dad! No! If you die, I'll die with you!

Luke just sighed weakly. He feels like all the energy in his body disappearing. He just wanted to go home and sleep on his comfortable and fluffy bed. He doesn't want to be here anymore.

"Oh, so you must be young master Luke."

Luke turned his head around and saw a blonde man with dark blue eyes looking at him with interest. He is smiling with two wine glasses in his hands. He then asked Luke, who is staring blankly at him.

"May I join you?"

"....Sure, I don't mind your highness."

"Ho? So you know who I am already?"

Luke looked at the smiling blonde beside him.

'Of course I'll know. Seeing how cliché your hair and eye color is, it is easy to guess that you are a prince.'

Luke also knew him thanks to the long ass list of nobles around the whole continent that Noah forced him to read. Luke then remembered Noah arriving in his room with maids carrying thick stacks of paper.

'Brother.... What is this?'

'Read it.'

'....Why?'

Noah frowned while looking at Luke's frowning face.

'You are now a noble so it is only natural to know about other nobles. You need to know their names and what their personalities are so that you wouldn't make the wrong choices while meeting them.'

'But aren't these information.... Expensive?'

A single profile about each noble could cost a hefty sum of money. Luke then saw Noah shrugging his shoulders.

'I have a lot of money so I'm still fine.'

Luke just sighed when he remembered the smug look of Noah when he said he had a lot of money. Luke just shrugged it off and focused on the man beside him.

"Your highness, the crown prince of the Kingdom of Edlia, Elton."
