Chapter 81: Advice(3)

"Oh my! Thank you for the gifts!"

Finesse looked at the bags placed beside her bed with a cheerful smile. Finesse's belly is more bigger than they last saw it. She looks like she'll give birth any minute now.

Luke and Lance were sitting beside the bed while Noah, Liam and Erdene were looking at them while standing from behind. Luke spoke first.

"What do you think? I bought boy clothes because I really think that you'll give birth to a baby boy. They are also expensive."

Lance then spoke next. Even though he didn't get all kinds of fruits, he is confident that Finesse will like it.

"I bought all kinds of fruits I could buy. They are delicious and they are just freshly harvested from Flor kingdom."

Lance and Luke looked at each other with confident expressions. They were confident that Finesse will like their gifts since they are expensive. There are so confident that they didn't noticed Finesse's hesitating face.

Finesse gulped and peeked at Noah with nervousness. Noah just looked at her and nodded at her as if he's encouraging her to do something. Finesse frowned at first as if she is disagreeing but sighed in the end. Erdene and Liam noticed this but didn't get to ask as Finesse started to speak.

"Uhm.... Brother Luke I'm sorry, but I really want my child to be a girl."

Luke turned his head and looked at Finesse with a dumbfounded expression. Lance then covered his mouth with his hand.

"Pffftt!!"

Luke glared at Lance who is suppressing his laughter. But Lance stopped laughing when he heard what Finesse said next.

"Brother Lance. I am grateful for the fruits but I like meat more."

"Pfffft!!!"

This time, it's Luke's turn to suppress his laughter. Lance glared at him but Luke shoulders just kept on shaking up and down while pressing back his laughter. But they both stopped when they heard Finesse's embarrassed voice.

"I'm very sorry but also thank you but I don't like your gifts."

"PFFFT!"

Luke and Lance turned their heads around and saw Liam, Erdene and Noah covering their mouths with their hands. Their whole body was shaking from suppressing their laughter. But it seems like Erdene can no longer hold it in and burst out laughing. His body is shooting forward and he looks like he'll fall in the ground and roll around while laughing.

"HAHAHAHA-"

Luke and Lance both frowned. Their faces were crumpled like wet tissue. While looking at the three grown men laughing, they thought:

'I'll never visit or give a present to pregnant woman ever again.'

· Dad! Pft! Don't worry! You did your best!

Luke's face crumpled even more at Nash laughing at him. Even a three year old kid is laughing at him. The once proud and confident air around Lance and Luke is no longer there anymore, it is just replaced with annoyance and embarrassment. Luke couldn't take it anymore and spoke in a cold voice.

"Stop laughing."

Liam flinched and immediately stopped laughing but Erdene and Noah were still laughing. Luke just sighed and looked at Finesse who seems apologetic.

"Don't apologize. I should be the one to apologize. I was too hasty. And I bet it was Noah who forced you to spoke to us like that as punishment for not visiting you enough. That damn bastard..."

"N-no. It's my fault. I was rude."

"No, it's completely fine."

Luke just stared into an empty space blankly after that. Lance looked at him for a while before speaking to Finesse.

"I too want to apologize. I should've asked you first on what you prefer. And I should also give Noah a good amount of paperwork once he goes back to work."

"N-no! Y-your highness please don't be sad!"

"No, I am not sad. Well then, I should go back now. I still have a lot to do in the palace."

Lance then stood up and bid goodbye to Finesse. He then walked out of the room. After Lance left, Luke also stood up and looked at Noah who is wiping of his tears while still chuckling.

"Brother, I need to speak with you."

"Hmm?"

Noah looked at Luke's serious face. His face then also turned serious and nodded.

"Okay, follow me."

Luke and Noah then left the room after saying goodbye to the guilty face Finesse. Liam and Erdene followed right behind them. Noah then entered a room and before Luke enters behind him, he looked at Erdene and Liam following him.

"Guard the door."

Liam nodded while Erdene just stared at him. Luke ignored his stares and went inside. He might be the first ever human in history to ever ignore a Spirit but he is still mad at him for laughing at him earlier. When Luke went inside, he then shuts the door. He then saw Noah sitting on a couch while drinking hot tea that some maids probably left for them. Luke sat down on the couch opposite of Noah and also drinks the tea in front of him. He then heard Noah speak.

"What is it?"

Luke smiled and puts down his cup of tea. He then spoke.

"Can you give me a little piece of land near the Forest of Death?"

Noah was stunned while looking at the smiling Luke. Forest of Death, it is an extremely dangerous forest. That is also where he found Finesse and her sister. That place was so dangerous that nobody is willing to even live close it even if there is a wall separating them and the Forest of Death, and now Luke was saying he wanted a piece of land near it?

"Why?"

".....Nothing, I just want my own land."

Noah's eye squinted. He then asked in confusion.

"Why don't you just ask a decent piece of land far away from that dangerous place?"

Luke smiled at him.

"No, it has to be there."

Noah couldn't understand what's gotten into Luke. He wanted to own a land that nobody particularly wants? He wanted to ask more but it seems like Luke will just keep his mouth shut if he kept asking further. Noah sighed.

"I could give you the whole land surrounding that forest if you want, nobody wants it anyways."

"....Really?"

"Yeah."

Luke smiled. He thought that Noah will just give him a small piece of land but who knew that he will give the whole land surrounding the Forest of Death? That'll be awesome but, in truth, he only needs a little since what he really wants is the forest itself. Luke plans to give the whole forest of Death to Erdene and for the giants to live in. It is the perfect place because It already has walls and it is a very large Forest. It could fit three capitals in it so that forest must be above satisfactory for Erdene. But the problem is, there are monsters in there but Luke was sure that the giants could handle those. The reason why he is asking for a piece of land is so that nobody would even dare come close the forest even further since somebody already owns it.

Luke smiled in satisfaction.

"That is perfect. Thank you."

"Don't mention it. What you are asking is basically a land that nobody wants."

Luke smiled and stood up from his chair. Noah wouldn't know, that soon that forest would be more magical and mystical than ever before.

Luke walked out of the room and saw Erdene and Liam waiting for him. Luke looked at Erdene and smiled at him.

"I finally got a new place for you guys."

Erdene then asked in surprise.

"Really? That was fast. Hmmm, don't hide it from me brat, what is the catch?"

Luke smiled at Erdene which made Erdene iffy.

"Your new home is in the forest of Death."

"What?"

Luke just smiled at Liam and Erdene who is looking at him with shock. Luke just taps Erdene's shoulders.

"Grandpa, aren't you and the giants strong? I bet that you'll make those monsters disappear in no time."

"Haaa, you damn brat. You are making me work my ass off again. You seriously remind me of someone."

Luke doesn't know who that 'someone' is and he doesn't care. He just pass by them and spoke.

"Please rest, we will go to Thea kingdom tomorrow."

Luke heard Erdene sighing but Luke just ignored him and went to his room. He then plopped down on his bed and slowly closed his eyes.
