Chapter 40: Newcomers(2)

The two knights stared at Luke for a while before nodding and turning around. Luke was about to tell Spencer to cast flight magic but the knight's surprised voices behind him interrupted him.

"Prince?"

"Prince Julius! What are you doing here?"

Luke flinched.

'Prince? Who prince? No way...'

Luke turned around and saw Julius, the fairy prince, flying towards him with an innocent expression. He then saw the two knights chasing after him. Luke's mouth opened and looked at Julius who is smiling at him.

"Luke! I got mother's permission to come with you!"

Luke thought that his ears might have a problem so he tried to ask to make sure.

"Excuse me, what?"

Luke blanked out for a moment before hearing Lina's excited voice.

"Woah! We'll have a prince in our group now? That's cool!"

He then heard Spencer's unsure voice.

"Are you sure it is okay for a prince to come with us....?"

Luke internally agreed with Spencer.

'Right?! Who in their right minds will send their prince to a group of unknown people?! Why?!'

He then heard Julius' jolly voice.

"Mother said that it is about time for me to go outside to the human world anyways! So she said that I should come with you and learn from you!"

Luke's eyes squinted in disbelief.

'Excuse me? Learn from who?'

Luke looked around behind him and looked at Julius while pointing at himself with disbelief.

"Me? Learn from me?"

"Yes!"

'What will you learn from me?!'

Luke was about to protest but he then heard Finesse and the children's excited voices.

"Woah, as expected of brother! Even a prince wants to learn from you!"

"I am very proud to have you as my brother!"

"Wow! So we will have a fairy brother now?"

"Nice to meet you, brother Julius!"

• Hey, when can I introduce myself to him? I wanted to play with him.

'Ugh, my head hurts.'

Luke sighed and massaged his head. He then heard Selena and Noah's voices.

"Our family is growing."

"We have plenty of rooms left in the estate, I guess it will soon be rowdy."

Luke sighed at the thought of no one wanted to ask his opinion about this.

He wanted... To reject him so bad.

But after seeing the bright expectant face of Julius and the sharp stares of the knights behind, he got no choice. He just sighed and reluctantly offered his hand to Julius.

"...Well, welcome aboard Prince Julius. Now that you will come with us, we got to skip some formalities and get close to each other so, can we call you Julius?"

Julius smiled brightly and shook his small hands with Luke's big hands. Luke then talked in a sigh-like voice.

"Alright then, let's go."

The group nodded and they all flew towards Welrad island. Luke looked back and saw the two knights blankly staring at them flying away. Luke just sighed.

'Why the heck did I agree to let him in the group again?'

Luke stared at Julius who is starting to communicate with the children right away while flying. He also seems to get close with Finesse and the others which made Luke decided to not think about it anymore.

They then finally reached the shores of Welrad Island and looked at Julius. Julius noticed his stares and asked.

"What is it? Brother?"

Luke's eyebrows twitched at the word 'brother' but sighed in the end and stated the problem.

"Uh, do fairies do not have transformation magic to turn themselves to human or...?"

"Ah!"

Julius gasped and then clapped his hands. The light then covered his entire body and his body covered with the light slowly starts to get bigger.

The group looked at this with fascination and admiration. The kids then looked at this like they were looking at a mystery surprise box.

The light finally disappeared and Julius appeared now at the normal human size. His purple hair and pink eyes shined more brightly under the sun. His fairy wings also disappeared and his long ears are gone.

"My magic will be half sealed when I took this form but it should be okay."

Luke nodded and looked at his group. They then all nodded and went into the teleportation circle they just used and Spencer activated it.

The circle then glowed and Luke closed his eyes. When he opened them back, he is now in the teleportation room again. He then saw the mage and some maids bowing towards them to greet their arrival.

"Welcome back, young master, Duchess and Duke Viscellete."

Noah nodded at them and pointed at Julius looking around the room with an amazing expression on his face.

"Take care of him, he is a very important guess."

The maids respectfully nodded and approached Julius. Julius smiled at them and started to follow where the maids were guiding him

The group then also went out of the teleportation room and went into their separate rooms. Luke went into his room and plopped into the bed.

"Haa!"

"You seemed tired."

Luke looked at Nash who finally deactivated his invisibility and nodded. Luke suddenly then asked.

"Hey, want to go shopping?"

"Huh? What's with you all of the sudden?"

"Nothing, I just wanted to shop."

"You're lying. "

Luke smirked at Nash. He was right.

"You are right, I planned to meet someone in the capital. A very important one."

Nash then sighed in disbelief.

"Who is it this time?"

"Hmm, to put it in short term. The second main character?"

"What?"

"Let's just go."

Luke stood up and fixed his coat. He then walked out towards the room. He could feel Nash sitting again on his shoulder and just walked forward in the hallway. The maids greeted him in the hallway and Luke just nodded at them.

When he reached outside he then walked towards the gate.

"Y-young master?"

Luke looked at the knight who is nervously looking at him. He remembered this guy, he is the one who stopped him from getting in the first time he got back. Luke smiled and patted the knight's shoulder. Which made the knight flinch and tremble.

"I wanted to go out. Open the gates."

"Pardon? I-it will soon be nighttime y-young master."

Luke frowned.

"Just open the gates."

"Y-yes, sir!"

The guard then slowly opened the gates and Luke walked out. He could feel the knight staring at him but Luke didn't care and walked towards the plaza in the center of the capital.

Luke looked around the crowd gathering into the plaza. The marketplace during nighttime is really bright and the streets are brimming with life.

Luke smiled.

'Now then, let us meet the second male lead'
