"Hey!" V sat on a high stool and greeted the bartender in a beach shirt.
"Would you like a drink?" The bartender Matteo put down the wiping glass and looked at V.
"I'm looking for Evelyn Parker. Is she here?" V said straight to the point.
"Who are you?" The bartender shrugged and asked V.
"V." V was still so concise and straightforward.
"V, right? It seems to be the case...Evelyn." The bartender turned around and shouted to Evelyn who was sitting opposite him.
"It's okay, Matteo, this is the person I made an appointment with."
Evelyn, who had short dark blue hair, lowered her crossed legs that were wearing tight black leather pants and high-heeled boots. She walked to V with her bag and leaned against the bar.
As I approached, I was greeted by the scent of women's perfume. Evelyn was wearing gorgeous makeup and a bright purple jacket with rainbow-colored feathers. She looked like a valuable socialite.
"Evelyn Parker." Evelyn introduced herself and signaled the bartender to pour the wine. "I knew it was you as soon as you walked in."
"But who is this? I remember I said I would only communicate with people who accept commissions." Evelyn frowned and looked at Bai Rui who sat on the chair next to V.
"Don't worry, my partner." V didn't back down at all. "We'll take your job together."
V casually picked up the glass and took a sip, but raised her eyebrows in surprise. "Baccarat? how did you know, I only drink this kind of tequila?"
"I'm used to finding out the right temperament before working with someone," Evelyn said mysteriously, and it was unclear whether she really knew it or just happened to get it by chance.
"Maybe I just happened to guess it right." Evelyn also raised her head and drank it all.
"Why did you meet at a place like this..."
After some unfriendly greetings, V got down to business.
Bai Rui was still sitting next to her, watching the wine that the bartender pushed to her.
"Sorry, I'm not used to strong liquor." Bai Rui frowned and refused the pungent tequila in the glass. "Do you have any small coke?"
"This..." Bai Rui's question confused the bartender, who had seen enough strange people.
She came to the bar to have a Coke. Did she think this was an amusement park?
But the customer's requests had to be met. The speechless bartender honestly took out a small can of Coke, opened it, poured it into the new glass, squeezed some lemon juice into it, and finally put two ice cubes in it, added a small plastic umbrella cover, and pushed the glass in front of Bai Rui.
"Thank you." Bai Rui picked up the cup and took a big sip with satisfaction.
Bai Rui was drinking, but out of the corner of her eye, she saw Judy, who was standing next to Evelyn, trying to go around her and into the inner room.
"Hi, hello." Bai Rui, happy to see the living Judy, turned her head and waved to say hello.
But Judy didn't respond to her greeting. She just stared at her and smiled strangely. When she passed by, she hooked Bai Rui's palm with her index finger and walked away into the inner room. Bai Rui was left there with a dazed look on her face.
What does this Judy mean?
Bai Rui stared at her hands in a daze.
Why is she hooking my hand? Is this the right way to say hello?
The naive Bai Rui hadn't yet realized that she was being teased.
And V was even more of a heavyweight. She was chatting with Evelyn and didn't even know that her girl was being picked up by someone else.
"Let's go. It's not convenient to talk here. I know a good place." Evelyn glanced at Bai Rui again. "But I will only tell the leader to tell your men to stay outside."
"Partner." V corrected but still turned to look at Bai Rui. "Bai Rui?"
"Oh, oh." Bai Rui, who was still looking at her hands, quickly came back to her senses. "Okay, I'll be here and wait for you to come back."
V and Evelyn walked to the box together.
Bai Rui looks young, but that doesn't mean she is an innocent girl. She is a mercenary who makes a living by licking blood. V doesn't think that this Lizzie Bar can bring any trouble to Bai Rui.
"Please give me three more cans of Coca-Cola!" Since she was the only one left, Bai Rui planned to pass the time by drinking Coca-Cola.
Bai Rui's shout made the bartender Matteo, who was mixing cocktails, look downcast instantly.
It never ends, right?
The bartender felt that his old habit of embarrassing others had come back again. Looking at Bai Rui's face as if there was nothing wrong with ordering a Coke in the bar, he was so embarrassed that he could dig a piece of Arasaka Building with his feet.
"The Coke here is eight dollars more expensive than the one in the vending machine outside. Are you sure you want it?"
Matteo hoped that this would scare off this unknown mercenary.
"What? It's so expensive, why don't you just go and rob it?" Bai Rui was surprised at first, but then she waved her hand and said, "Go ahead, go ahead. Remember the person who came with me? go to her to settle the bill later."
Bai Rui tricked V without any psychological burden.
The bartender gritted his teeth and placed three small cans of Coca-Cola with frost still on them in front of Bai Rui. Then he went to make cocktails for other customers with a sullen face. Bai Rui drinking Coke at the bar was an insult to his cocktail-making skills.
Bai Rui just sat at the bar in the corner, drinking a Coca-Cola from time to time, watching the people dancing on the dance floor, her eyes looking dishonestly at the waists and thighs of the hot girls.
Although Bai Rui looks and acts like an old-fashioned person, she is actually a gentleman and she is thinking about other things in her mind.
That's the story of V and Judy.
It was clearly a beautiful love, but Bai Rui felt uncomfortable, especially when she thought that if she didn't exist, V and Judy would naturally be together.
How should I put it? I feel uncomfortable being an NTR.
It seems that V and Judy need to have less contact.
Bai Rui made a decision quickly.
Judy's problem may be solved by her own body. If V still solves it as in the plot, maybe V and Judy will really get together accidentally. After all, no one can predict love.
But V was the girl she liked, and she wouldn't give her up even if Judy liked her.
Thinking of this, Bai Rui took another big sip of Coke.
"Hey, look, what is this little cutie doing here alone, drinking a little coke!"
Bai Rui was still deep in thought when she suddenly felt a stranger coming up and hugging her shoulders. She immediately frowned in dissatisfaction.
Just as Bai Rui was drinking by herself, three punk girls with colorful hair came over.
"Baby, why are you drinking in the bar? How about I treat you to a drink? You don't have to pay for it." The punk girl who hugged Bai Rui kept talking, obviously treating Bai Rui as a virgin.
Bai Rui looked so fair and clean that the three street girls obviously thought she was a newcomer or something. They were so eager to catch her that they came up to her and started chatting her up.
It would be best to trick the other person into drinking a few glasses of wine so that they can take the drunk other person to the hotel. Just looking at Bai Rui's pretty face, they can have a happy night.
But Bai Rui obviously had no such intention, especially when she smelled the strong scent of alcohol on the punk girl, she made an unhappy sound.
"Sorry, she has company."
Before Bai Rui could react, a white hand reached out and took the hand off Bai Rui's shoulder without giving her any chance to refuse.
It's V.
V grabbed the punk girl's hand, her brows raised, and her face looked sullen.
"Hey, you scratched me."
Seeing V's cold eyes, which looked like she was not someone who could be messed with, the three punk girls obviously backed off. After V let go of her hand, they quickly turned around and left.
They just want to have some fun, they don't want to fight.
"V, you came at the perfect time." Bai Rui said sarcastically, holding a Coke.
She was just about to play the pig and eat the tiger, and pretend to be awesome and get slapped in the face when V came out and messed up the situation. It was like a hero saving a beauty, and she got a great deal of satisfaction from V.
Moreover, it came neither earlier nor later, but just when Bai Rui was about to have an attack. Now Bai Rui was like a pile of sand that she had built with great difficulty and was suddenly pushed down by someone, and he had to hold her breath with nowhere to vent.
"Hey, Bai Rui, I did help you." V raised her chin, very dissatisfied with Bai Rui's ingratitude.
"Drink more Coke and talk less!" Bai Rui stuffed the Coke into V's mouth to block the mouth that she both hated and loved.
"Tell me, why did you come out?" Bai Rui stood up. "Did Evelyn finish it so quickly?"
"No." V was forced to take a big sip of the Coke, which tasted extremely bitter to her, and said with a bitter face. "They said they would show me a Braindance original film, but I was afraid that I would wake up on the scavenger operating table, so I wanted to ask you to help me keep an eye on it."
"Then let's go, let's go." Bai Rui blocked V's hand again to prevent her from putting down the Coke, forcing her to finish it. "Don't waste food, right?"
Bai Rui used her eyes to force V to finish the Coke.
V could only look at the half-empty can of Coke with a bitter face, hesitating.
Even if it's an indirect kiss, can you make it a little more romantic instead of this little coke that looks like hot pot water?
