Chapter 30: Building a Home

I diligently shaped the house, arranging the pieces of wood.

I applied Trent's sap to the wood.

And then, the house was completed!

Although it couldn't be called a mansion, it was a small house spacious enough for me and Sui to live in!

Facing the completed house, Sui exclaimed,

"It's already finished!! That was fast!! Can houses be built so easily?!"

"It's not easy. It's just that we had Trent's sap. We assembled the house and coated it with sap, making it a convenient and simple home. It may be simple, but the real fun begins when we go inside!"

"Let's go inside!! I'm excited!"

Sui opened the door.

The door was securely fixed and could be opened and closed.

It feels good. We passed the first hurdle, which was the door.

Next is the room.

"Well, there's a proper room here. There's even a kitchen and a bed!"

"That's right. We'll use the kitchen because we'll need to eat. We'll cook here and have meals with Sui. As for the bedroom, I made a wooden bed."

I made a kitchen in the room with the expectation that we would cook and eat there in the future.

I also made a dining table and chairs.

I made what was necessary for our daily life.

I made a bed too because it's important to be able to sleep peacefully.

Thanks to Trent's wood and the adhesive sap, I was able to make it this far, which was commendable.

On the contrary, if Trent hadn't become a forest and we hadn't been deceived, it would have been a struggle.

It was difficult because there was no wood, and it was challenging to find materials.

I still have a large stock of Trent's wood, so it will come in handy when we need it in the future.

"We made a bed today, and you must be tired. Shall we sleep?"

"Yes, that sounds good. I like the bed too. It felt great to sleep on a bed at the inn. I never slept on a bed as a magic dragon."

"I see, magic dragons don't have beds to sleep on. But the bed is still made of wood for now, and there's no soft mattress. We'll have to make one later."

"I'll endure it for today then."

Since I could make a bed out of wood, I didn't have a mattress to put on top, so sleeping might be uncomfortable on my back.

Well, there's no end to greed, so let's sleep in this environment for today.

We'll think about it and make one if possible in the future.
