Chapter 21 – Study sessions and review sessions before the midterm exams

Third person POV

 Monday came, and at school, Asuka, Niko, Akihito, and Aki had review sessions in their classrooms. The day was 3 days before the midterm exams, and while Asuka and Niko were excited, their assassin masters were not and in fact, they were anxious and afraid about failing and receiving a bad grade. So, during those review sessions, the four of them did their best to review and recap weeks of material. Akihito and Aki struggled a bit in Biology and Japanese Literature. Asuka and Niko are good in Math, English, Japanese language, and World History so they both recited most of the main points from them. Their teachers are impressed by it, but help Akihito and Aki in dissecting the topics of the subjects they are struggling in.

 Lunchtime came, and Akihito and Aki expressed their struggles to their slaves. "Oh, okay," Asuka replied, getting what they had said.

 "We understand," Niko added.

 "Thanks, you two," Akihito replied, before sipping on his water bottle.

 And then, after school, the four of them went home on foot. Along the way, Akihito said to Asuka that he and Aki are afraid to have a bad grade. Why? Is it because of World Geography?" Asuka looked at him and his twin sister. Niko gets closer to her older brother to listen to their conversation. Aki shook her head. "No, it's not just in World Geography we are struggling in."

 "We also struggled a bit in Biology and Japanese Literature," her twin brother added.

Their CEO slaves were taken aback by it.

 "Why you two didn't tell us that sooner?"

 "We could've helped you with that, too."

Akihito was very embarrassed that he and Aki hid something from their own blood-contracted slaves. "We're sorry…"

 "We were afraid to fail." Aki dropped her head in shame.

Because of that, Asuka felt sorry for them, and he and Niko became concerned.

So, Niko said to them, "We will help you with the midterm exams."

The two assassins looked at her and Asuka with surprised looks on their faces. "Really?" they responded at the same time.

"Yes, we are particularly good at those subjects," Asuka replied back positively.

Niko nodded. "Also, in Math, English, Japanese language, and World History as well."

Akihito and Aki couldn't believe what they had heard from their two slaves who seemed to be average by looks, but actually smart as well.

 "Yes, thank you!" Akihito responded with extreme gratitude. "You two are the best people we could ever ask for."

Aki said a similar thing, too.

 "No problem," Asuka happily replied back.

 "I'll increase your wages two-fold for that." Akihito offered to Asuka and Niko.

 "What? We don't need that."

 "Why not?" Aki asked back,

 "We're already satisfied with our salaries as CEOs."

 "Oh, okay." Akihito gets it. "We understand you."

And so, when they arrived home and after changing into their indoor clothes, the four of them had a big study session in the dining room. The household staff were ordered not to intervene in their session, and they obeyed their two assassin masters without question. And then, their first session began. Asuka taught them the subjects they are struggling in and drew out diagrams on a small whiteboard along with detailed explanations about them and various topics. Their assassin masters listen attentively, knowing that those bits of information are valuable for them to pass the exams. 

Then, Asuka and Niko showed them different methods of studying like mind maps and practice questions. Akihito and Aki are very intrigued by those methods they never tried before. For the entire time in their educational journey they had been taking detailed notes in a linear way and relying on textbooks that aren't reliable at all. That changed when Asuka showed them sources of their topics in the internet, which offered better explanations of the concepts and topics. Once again, they were amazed and began downloading various PDFs for their studying. But, they were careful on the reliability of the sources they are looking for, as Asuka went through that experience before.

Day 2 and 3 came, and they had been studying together after school, recapping what they had learned and reviewing the main points. At this point, Asuka and Niko are not just slaves to them and CEOs of their parents' companies, but also great and reliable tutors to them.
