"Are you hurt, boy?" Elder Ouyang checked Jun's body for any injuries. He didn't find any as the child dropped onto his lap. He was glad that Guye didn't trip him somewhere far or the boy might be injured for sure. Elder Ouyang knew that the boy was very fragile. After all, he heard about the various illness the boy had from his secretary just before the party.

It was cruel of his son and Guye to label Jun as a useless second generation and refused to engage them. Guye was way younger than Wei as well, so it was inappropriate for them to pair Guye and Wei together.

In addition, Wei had such a beautiful face that Guye might pale in comparison. From what he had known through the late Madam Ouyang, women tend to pay attention to their appearance. At first, Madam Ouyang was reluctant to be with him due to his appearance, however, she soon fell for his relentless chasing. True love would prevail!

To Elder Ouyang, Jun and Guye's looks were comparable to each other. One was not too handsome while lne was not too beautiful. In addition, Guye's age was not thaf far from Jun. The boy was extremely fillial and kind as well. Elder Ouyang didn't know what attracted him to Jun, but it might be the same as what attracted numerous women to Wei. Wei that lad was conversing with some ladies who caked their faces with make up, the fakes...

Truthfully, Elder Ouyang already knew of Wei's circumstances. Hong lad's father was his best friend kn high school after all. In fact, if not for Hong lad's father's sacrifice, he wouldn't be able to stand on a high pedestal. This was why he caused no problem for the Hong lad. However his son was too shameful...he dared to cause trouble and asked for a large dowry...

His son didn't even put his name kn the consequences tab. If the engagement was to be broken, he would have nothing to give but receive all the dowries. Elder Ouyang took note and made sure to return all the dowry after Jun broke the engagement. He didn't know why he was so sure but it seemed so. Jun didn't look interested towards Guye. Furthermore, Guye never showed an interested expression to Jun and instead oogled at his brother.

Elder Ouyang didn't know how his son taught his daughter. Perhaps he spoilt her rotten.

Elder Ouyang liked his grandson more. Although he didn't come through the main family, the little boy was extremely good and nice...if only the second house didn't throw him away, letting him land on the Hong family's lap. Wei's mother was his daughter while his father was...that man...

It was impossible for people to talk about that man without fear in their hearts, and Elder Ouyang was no exception. He just hoped that one day, Wei would be able to meet his father and probably remember his real family. Wei only stayed for three weeks in the Ouyang family before he was taken in by his friend. Wei didn't even realize that the one who took him in was his 'grandfather'.

Anyways, Elder Ouyang was really glad to see Wei so happy and carefree compared to before.

At the end of the party, Yi tapped her glass two times to get everyone's attention. Yi was previously the head of the public relations (especially the press conferences and public speeches) for her family's business so all the informations were given to her to announce. Everyone knew how Mr. Hong fell in love with her so they didn't complain that Mr. Hong was a wimp because he just wanted to see the madam saying all of those things with a confident aura. Yi alsocdidn't mind her husband's weird demands. They were already husband and wife, what should they be shy about?

"I have an announcement to make," Yi said, her voice clear and laced with a certain charm. Even Elder Ouyang who was playing with Jun stopped for a while to listen. The attention - seeking Guye was also entranced by Yi's voice. A former public relations person was this good.

Everyone paid careful attention jsut so that they wouldn't miss a single word.

Charm was a very important aspect in building relations. Some people were envious that Mr. hong got such a good Madam, however, Mr. Hong's intelligence and charm was comparable, although it wasn't through his appearance. The couple could be the most influential couple, in fact, they could be more than that.

Before Yi announced anything, she called over to Jun, "Jun dear, come here."

Jun was puzzled, but as it was his mother who asked him to come, he waddled over and didn't resist as Yi picked him up. He had to admit that the old him missed being picked up by his parents...ah those old times...
