The sun was surprisingly bright for the middle of winter.
Normally it would have been an occasion to be excited about, but the princess was in no state to enjoy the sun.
As her eyes opened for the first time that day, she quickly squeezed them shut when the room around her was spinning and the sunlight felt like it was going to blind her.
"Shut the blinds!" she shouted and hid under her thick blankets.
With the blankets over her head, it wasn't so bad and she slowly blinked as she tried to accept being awake already.
"Your highness, it's nearly midday," a maid said.
The princess could tell the room had gotten darker and she slowly pulled the blankets off of her.
The last thing she remembered…
Princess Marie's hand went over her mouth in shock.
The last thing she remembered was being in Henry's arms and all the ridiculous things she had said.
