I Want To Be A Romance Novel's Love Interest

*A slow-burn fantasy romance. The weak to strong tale of a peasant on the path of finding the love he deserves. Most romance novels focus on the woman's perspective, but what about the heroes of these stories?* NOT HAREM Synopsis: Being the son of a romance author has put unrealistic ideas in Henry's head. Despite his bad luck of being born a peasant, he can't help daydreaming whenever he sees a knight in shining armor riding away with a beautiful lady. Someone like him isn't supposed to be anything but a stable hand - working hard until his last breath just like his father. So why does he feel so compelled to seek out a life much greater than he could ever hope for? He wonders what the view will look like from the top, but he won't know until he gets there!

Better Understanding

Normally, the two of them did business in Henry's study or the library. As Siverly was led towards the knights' practice area and down the wooden stairs to the dingy basement, he didn't keep the confusion away from his face. He didn't know what he had to do with the armory, treasury, and other various places of storage.

His grey eyes looked around with guarded curiosity. Like a knight who grabbed their sword in a dangerous situation, he splayed his fingers at his side in case he needed to conjure up defensive magic.

"What are we doing here?" the mage asked quietly.

It was Gunnar's turn to guard the treasury and when he saw Henry, he gave a bow.

"Good morning, commander," the knight said. Though his greeting to Siverly was a bit stiffer. "Hello, mage."
