I Told The Stars About Us

Jiana Achilla Chavez is the daughter of a big-time business tycoon. Her name rings ostentatiously around her high school campus and maybe even beyond its four walls. But despite having that title, she finds it hard to communicate and trust people. So when she took step on her new school grounds, her life took a lot of different (and unforeseen) series of turns- especially that it involves a certain guy who's a year ahead of her; a guy who happened to have unexpected connections with very unexpected girls.

Chapter 8: Soccer Ball

I slouched as I sat on my chair and tried to reach for my foot to feel if it's still hurting.

I didn't mind my classmates blabbering about how stupid I am to make a scene at the cafe a while ago. All I care about is this more recent incident with that bastard.

I looked out the window as I think about it. It's actually a little gloomy today when it's just the beginning of June.

A moment later, I eyed Allanis as she quickly appeared from the door, panting. My forehead wrinkled.

"Where have you been?" I asked her with my usual soft voice.

She scratched her nape and answered, "Just somewhere out there,"

What? Is that even a place? I shrugged the thought off and just decided to stay silent.

I so wanted to tell her about what happened when I was on my way here but I'm afraid that I will embarrass myself more if I did.

But Allanis still spoked.

"Hmm, do you want me to teach you poetries?" she asked.

I turned my attention to her. I think it's fine. I agreed to her since I remembered the poems she gave to me. They are all beautiful.

So she taught me. Not that I'm not familiar with the subject since I've already made a few of them in our English literature when I was a Junior.

But something's telling me that Allanis' is different. Hers are pinke spoken deep within her hear and soul. That's what her poem made it special.

"Poetries aren't just about rhyming words and same measurement of syllables," her. "It's not like as if there's no rhymes and syllables, it's not already a poem. You can write freely,"

I nodded in agreement.

"Writing poetry is one way to express your feelings. Freely. In any possible way that you prefer," she continued.

'Love me beyond galaxies

with shining eyes more than infinities.' I mimicked her words this morning.

She smiled from ear to ear. "Exactly!"

She said many more things but one thing that kept in my mind is something about being deep. Finding deeper meanings in different things. One more thing, she loves heavenly bodies and the ocean. She uses them figuratively to express her love for God-knows-who.

When Four PM came, we just decided to chill on the concrete bench we sat on earlier this lunch since there are really no teachers visited us.

Compared to the number of students scattered last lunch, it doubled now that it's almost dismissal time. Especially now that it seems like some of the guys are playing soccer.

Of course, girls are everywhere.

"Looks like these people are having fun once again," Allanis said as she watched them play.

I just hummed in response.

"Nothing. It's just they normally play there just to have fun and kill time," she added.

"I wasn't really asking," I said bluntly.

She quickly turned to me with her stoic face. "Nor was I," she backfired.

I tolled my eyes. "Just for fun or they just wanted to hunt for girls?" I bitterly said.

"You're so unsympathetic," her.

I gave her a what-the-hell kind of look.

After that, silence conquered between us. She was quietly observing the field while I was arguing with my head whether I should tell her everything or not.

In the end, I just sighed and decided to just reveal it to her.

"Why on earth would you follow him, Jiana?!" Allanis exclaimed as she laughed her ass off.

"Well, I can't blame you because I know you're curious and gosh! You already had tons of encounters with him this day!" she continued to chortle.

I took a deep sigh.

I took out my sketchpad as I sat on the bench while Allanis was still laughing. Though she managed to get her pen and journal as she sat across from me.

It actually took her five minutes after her laughed died. Now she's seriously looking from afar while thinking of what to write.

Since she's my view, I decided to draw her instead.

She is looking at her left side, where the soccer game is while biting her pen. I draw her perfect hair with wavy tips, just like mine. Then her slightly angled jaw up to her chinky eyes, pointy nose, and thin lips.

My eyes are are all on my sketchpad as I occasionally look at her for details. I'm actually almost done sketching but she's still in her same position.

"Oh my, Jiana!" Allanis then said out of the blue.

I was about to proceed sketching the view when a ball suddenly bounced at my head. My vision turned black and my head was numb before the pain was actually felt.

It hurts.

Once again, I heard Allanis scream as she attended to me quickly. She embraced my head.

I was still closing my eyes for the pain is so blinding. Gosh my empty brain even got emptier! If that's a word.

I cursed the skies for giving me such bad luck today. First, my food was spilled, then the books fell on my feet, causing it to swell, and now this?!

When I slightly got over the pain, I opened my eyes and the first person I saw was Lucas. The annoying and ungentleman but furiously hot Lucas.

He looked ten times more hotter now that he's sweaty, wearing a jersey, and toned body. Even though he looks haggard, I can still smell his manly musk which attacked my nose.

Allanis let go of my head and examined it.

"Are you okay?" she asked worriedly. I didn't answered her. Obviously, I'm not! It hurts so bad.

My cold stare never left Lucas' orbs. He, too, was staring at me.

"It's not my fault. You chose to sit there," he said in a defensive yet teasing stance as he turned his back on me and started walking away.

And for the nth time, my blood boiled.

I stood up and shouted at him, even though I almost lost my balance.

"Damn you! That only means, you're a stupid player! It's to high of you to even blame us when we're just here, doing our own business quietly! And why? We aren't the only ones who're here, right?!" I'm already catching my breath as I said that.

My hands are shaking and I can feel my pulse getting faster and faster by the minute. That's how I'm frustrated right now.

The soccer math was paused because of this and most of the girls cheering are now watching us.

He just continued walking as if he didn't heard me so I ran towards him and pulled his hair back to the bench.

So much for this rude man!
