I Told The Stars About Us

Jiana Achilla Chavez is the daughter of a big-time business tycoon. Her name rings ostentatiously around her high school campus and maybe even beyond its four walls. But despite having that title, she finds it hard to communicate and trust people. So when she took step on her new school grounds, her life took a lot of different (and unforeseen) series of turns- especially that it involves a certain guy who's a year ahead of her; a guy who happened to have unexpected connections with very unexpected girls.

Chapter 60: Make Me Drown

Lucas extended his hand towards me as I raised a brow at the gesture. Seriously? I won't act like I don't know him, like what he's doing so no thanks.

Upon realizing my unwelcoming aura, the Attorney's wide smile faded and instead invited us to sit to continue the supposed meeting. Lucas, on the other hand, just shrugged his shoulders, as if not affected that his hand was rejected awkwardly.

"Sh-shall I leave you two now, Captain? So you can further discuss about the details of the project?" growing tension is evident in her voice.

Although I don't want her to leave, I smiled at her as a nod. She stood up and readied herself to leave, gathering her things in her hands.

"Sure, Attorney. Thank you for the help," Lucas smiled at Ms. Cara Vasquez, making the lawyer's eyes twinkle like the stars.

"It's my job, Sir," she said before leaving us.
