Chapter 44: Coward

I went to my room to take a bath and lied down in my bed afterwards. I checked my phone and saw Cole's message.

Cole: Where are we going later, boss? :D

I laughed at what he called me. I almost forgot our dinner hang out later if it wasn't for his text.

Then thinking about him, I remembered our conversation earlier while we were eating at the cafeteria.

"Is he the reason, Jiana, why you didn't want to say yes to me? Because he is the one you love?" He asked me and I already knew that he was referring to Lucas.

I didn't answered. To be honest, the answer will be yes but I didn't want to speak it out aloud. Besides the fact that I really only see him as a close friend.

"No, Cole. I'm just really not up for some serious relationship," I simply said.

He only nodded and continued eating.
