Season 5 Chapter 5

Karl: (he laughs sarcastically as he watches me walk in the school premises) Look who is here!!

I raised my brow feeling confused at the tensed atmosphere, the hallway was filled with crowd as eyes were fixed on me with a hint of disgust. I felt uncomfortable and conscious due to the constant gazes, I didn't understand what was brewing behind my back, until I felt a familiar touch. It was Victoria who grabbed my wrist along with some concerned faces following her. The whole gang was there except for Jules. Something was wrong, my heart pounded loudly seeing Victoria's pale face.

Victoria: Anne…..(she seemed out of breath) you shouldn't have come today.

Choon Hee: Victoria, we should take Anne away from here immediately. (She said worried)

Me: Wait…..what's going on here? (I glanced at them getting confused, before glancing at Karl who's filthy face had a wide smirk)

Irina: We don't have a time to explain. It's better if you leave right now, before it's too late. (She hesitated)

Hope: Yes Anne. Please come with us. (She seemed concerned)

Bianca: (she stands beside Karl feeling disgusted) What is this disgraceful whore doing holding her head high with arrogance. Does she lack self-awareness?

Karl: (he wraps his arm around her waist kissing her cheek) oh sweety, not every girl in this world are smart and beautiful like you.

Bianca: still, doesn't she feel embarrassed after getting caught red handed while having two affairs. (She says with an ick)

Me: What are they talking about. (I felt confused as I looked at Victoria and others)

Christina: (she stood in front of me, guarding me) Stop it both of you! Don't make up stories!

Karl: Stories? Come on, are you blind? (He snickers)

Bianca: Yea Christina. No matter how much you hate us. There are clear evidence. (She rolled her eyes)

Me: Will anyone tell me…..what the fuck is going on here? (I murmured to myself before stepping on something. I frowned before bending down and picking it up. It was photographs, not one or two….. at least 40 or 50 of them with my brothers. Most of them were badly edited to make them look intimated. My blood boiled at the sick joke that these two morons made out of my family. It was fine that they disrespected me but now they are dragging my brothers in this mess?)

Karl: I would have still understood regarding King, after all he is infamous for jumping from one relationship to another like a Sigma he is. He would lose interest in this bitch anyways. But even Leo? Tsk tsk…. Having affairs with both of the twins behind their backs? (He laughs)

Bianca: I heard that Leo have a girlfriend. Poor lady, she must be so depressed that her boyfriend is getting seduced by an ugly vixen. (She snickers)

Christina: You! (She feels infuriated)

The number of eyes increased, as I could notice Maria standing in the crowd feeling restless regarding the whole matter. I think she just arrived with Julie and Bella after enrolling herself in the football club. This incident was getting more complicated and I felt the immediate need to intervene before things gets out of our hands.

Me: Agh….stop this nonsense. (I sighed rubbing my forehead)

Karl: You still have the courage to speak huh. (He smirks)

Me: Of course, because these are my bro- (before I could complete my sentence, I felt a piercing pain against my cheek, as I stared in disbelief. It was Jules, who slapped my face without any explanation. Her eyes was furious mixed with hatred and disappointment)

Jules: (she erupted in fury, her voice reverberating as she seized my collar) How dare you! (she cried out, her eyes ablaze with anger.) I trusted you, believed you were my friend! But you betrayed me! (Tears welled up in her eyes, threatening to spill over as she struggled to contain her emotions.) If Karl hadn't warned me, I wouldn't have known, ( she choked out between sobs.) I loved Leo, and if you had just told me about your feelings for him, I would have gladly stepped aside. (Tears streamed down her cheeks, mingling with her anger.) But instead, you deceived him, tricked him into thinking… (Her voice trailed off, the weight of betrayal heavy in the air.) How could you? ( she whispered, her voice breaking.) How could you deceive that poor soul? (Her eyes, red from both rage and sorrow, bore into mine, demanding an answer yet, it felt like instead of knowing the reality, she preferred to believe the sweet poison that had been filled in her ears)

Me: (As I gazed at her, disbelief etched into every line of my face, my cheek still stinging from the force of her slap, I drew a deep breath, attempting to rein in my tumultuous emotions.) Have your lost your mind? (I murmured through clenched teeth, my gaze flickering towards her throat, a primal urge tempting me to act on my simmering rage, my jaw tensing with suppressed anger. Choon Hee grabs my arm pulling me behind as Hope and Irina stood in front of me, guarding me. Maria and Bella tried to disperse the crowd but it was harder than it seemed.)

Jules: Yes! I have lost my mind!! Haha!! (She laughs, her eyes moved towards the crowd) Remember Anne? Once you called me a slut, because of my bad choices. (She murmured) I wonder who is the slut now? (She smirks while spitting insults on my face)

Christina: (before I could react, Christina slapped Jules hard across her face) Enough. Jules...what are you even doing? Anne needs us the most right now and yet you are stabbing her back.

Jules: Don't come in between us!! You don't even know anything!! (She hisses grabbing Christina's hair) I have witnessed with my own eyes! Leo visited this bitch when she was admitted to the hospital!

Christina: (she grabs Jules' wrist and yanks her off, throwing her to the ground) I don't know what nonsense you are brewing but whatever it is...unlike you…..I trust Anne. I trust the person who gave me a second chance and helped me get over my darkness. And unlike you, I choose to trust and protect my friends. (She said while glaring at Karl)

Jules: (she stands up dusting herself) You people have turned blind. But I am not. (Her eyes moves towards me) I cannot sit back and watch her ruin people's life.

Victoria: JULES! (Victoria's voice pierced the room, startling everyone within earshot. It was a rare display of her losing her composure.) Have you even bothered to properly look at the pictures? Or has your rage blinded you? Anyone with eyes can see it's a horribly photoshopped mess!

Jules: (she stammers) B-But…..h-how will y-you explain t-that she was together with both of them? (Her eyes moved nervously towards Karl)

Karl: (he runs his fingers through his hair with a smirk over his lips) I guess, birds of a feather flocks together. Protecting a culprit, makes you a culprit as well, Miss Victoria.

Bianca: Does this girl knows some type of black magic? Or great manipulative skills? I mean look at these bitches trying to protect her. (She scoffs)

Christina: Hey! (She hisses)

Karl: Calm your ass, my dear sister. Once Lord King finds out regarding this bitch's evil deeds. He will make her suffer hell. (He smirks)

Jules: (she starts getting restless) I need to tell Leo...he needs to know the reality.

Me: (Instead of getting angry, I started laughing at this ridiculous situation) Hahahahaha!!!! Human trust is so fragile!!! (I laughed sarcastically while watching Jules)

Karl: Looks like this bitch has finally lost her mind. (He frowns)

Choon Hee: Anne….are you alright? (She asked getting concerned)

Me: What's wrong? Isn't this so funny?! (I laughed bitterly) Should I feel sad about being charged with some imaginary crimes or laugh that my stupid friend actually believed in these nonsense?

Jules: You! (She was about to attack me again when Julie blocked the path) Captain! Please move aside! I need to teach this bitch a lesson! (She breaths loudly)

Julie: Enough! (Her eyes were moist, her voice choked with suppressed tears) One more step, and I will exclude you from the team. (She commanded with a tearful eyes filled with anger)

Jules: (she looks at her in disbelief) Even you are taking her side? Why is everyone treating me like this?! (She bit her lower lip) Fine, I am leaving the team! I don't need such friends! (She says stomping out of the crowd)

Everyone was shocked by the sudden change of events as the crowd slowly started to disperse because the teachers could arrive at the spot. Julie stood there wiping her overflowing tears, unable to believe that her team was breaking apart right in front of her eyes, over some silly misunderstandings. Her decision was tough, but she looked determined. She glanced towards me for a second with her moist eyes, as if trying to sympathize with my state.

Christina: Anne….I think you should go back….(she sighed)

Victoria: Yeah Anne. Don't worry, we will handle the situation here. (She pats my shoulder)

Unable to decipher their words amidst the pounding ache in my head, I watched their lips move in a blur as I turned away, my steps heavy and unsteady. Tremors wracked my body, emotions swirling in a tangled mess, leaving me feeling utterly numb. Directionless, I stumbled out of the school grounds, as if puppeteer by unseen forces. My vision blurred, thoughts racing through my mind like a runaway train, while my heart ached as though pierced by countless daggers. "So this is what betrayal tastes like," I mused bitterly to myself.
