Blake paced around in the study, looking grim. When he had circled the room for the fourth time, Blake stopped. His eyes went to the three siblings who were presently lining up, standing still in front of him.
They were each wearing exhausted and distressed expressions. Guy was weary from the mountain workload he had, coupled with the stuff that happened at home. He hadn't caught any sleep since yesterday.
While the twins were also tired from overthinking the situation. Their minds were full from the thoughts of Ruby. They wondered what mistakes they had really done to her, as up to now they still didn't think they had made a terrible mistake yet. Why was Ruby so eager to break her ties with them?
"Where is she?"
"She's at City J."
"What is she doing there?"
Guy helplessly said, "I don't know. Maybe she wanted to take a breath."
"I called her, but she wouldn't answer."
Blake massaged his temple, "Did you send some people to her side?"
"I did."
Guy's expression turned odd, "They said she never go back to the hotel. I checked her card and found that she went to the hospital."
Blake's face changed drastically, his eyes dimmed. The image of Ruby's suicide flashed through his memories.
"What is she doing there?!"
Guy quickly responded in a steady tone, "Calm down, dad. She's okay."
Blake wasn't convinced, He was a second away to send his own men to drag Ruby home by any means necessary.
Zin and Zayn said nothing, however when their eyes collided it was as if they could read the other's thoughts.
Clearing his throat, Zayn took the initiative to volunteer. He waved his hand to get Guy and Blake's attention, "Should I go pick her up?"
"You?"
"Right. Zin will come too."
Blake scoffed at him, "Don't even think about it."
Zayn rolled his eyes, "Come on, dad! I can do it with a breeze."
After saying it so light-heartedly, the others stared at him with a look that show their disbelief.
Who among them didn't know how spicy this guy's mouth is?
Every time Zayn and Ruby met, they would bicker and fight like there's no tomorrow.
Sending him to Ruby was tantamount to agreeing with Ruby's wishes, destroying their relationship forever.
Blake's sternly reprimanded him, "You better stay put."
Zin was going to defend his brother but the moment his father's freezingly cold gaze brushed past him, he shuddered in fright.
Mm. He couldn't afford to offend the emperor.
The topic of Ruby going to the hospital was quickly buried as though it was a meaningless event. They instead focused more on how to coax Ruby and soften her attitude.
I'm sorry for the short chapter >.<
