Chapter 40: Telling Him About Our Pregnancy
I went home to find him. I did not find him. He was nowhere to find. I sat on the bed and cried. I thought of all the memories that we have made in this small apartment. The way he would cook for me. The way he helped me with unpacking. All the laughs, hugs, and kisses just became a memory. I couldn’t believe we came to a time like this. He was the only one who was in my thoughts.
I heard the front door open. Someone came into the room and put their hand on my shoulder. I looked up and it was Krishna. He stepped back and held his hands up in the air. I ran to hug him.
We hugged each other in the morning but nothing felt as satisfying as this one. He was warm as always. We held each other tightly as we could. I hugged him as this was my first time hugging him.
It became very tight and I had to ask him to let go of me. Also, I was pregnant.
“I missed you,” he said.
“We were apart from each other for 8 hours.”
“I already missed you.” I smiled a little bit.
