They must have become so lazy that even in the midst of so much suffering, they are finding it hard to go out there and work hard.

And there was no push from their mother, she was just there...

She said they were accused of theft at their work places, both of her kids were accused of the same thing. And she couldn't even sit down to think if what they were accused of was actually true.

There was a very high possibility what they were accused of was true 'cause they were poor, they were likely to take things that didn't belong to them to survive.

..Their mum just chose to remain blind to all these.

There was no valid reason why they were in this situation, I was smelling both poverty and laziness everywhere.

This was the reason why I asked that question, this was what I needed to confirm. And I'd already confirmed it, I wouldn't be rendering any help to them.

Yes, they were in need of help badly, but they don't deserve it. As the system instructed, there must be a very valid reason why a family was in the situation they were in before I'd render any help to them.

..Both the guy and the girl became irritated when I talked about them going outside to work hard to see if they can change their situation.

Can you imagine that?...You're in poverty, but you're still lazy. They didn't deserve any help at all, they should just stay here like this and keep suffering.

I got the system's notification when I wasn't even expecting to get it at all...

The system didn't even need to inform me 'cause I was already aware. Honestly, what the woman said about her two children was somehow annoying. It was just like she was the one that cultivated that laziness in them.

..It was just somehow, laziness in the midst of suffering...like, what is this?

Since I wouldn't be rendering any help to them, then I shouldn't waste any more time here.

"Umm...so I'd be leaving now". I said as I turned around to begin walking away.

After asking them all these questions and the mum giving answers to all of them, I just wanted to leave like that. I knew it was somehow, but that's just the way it is.

Even the system herself has informed me not to render any help to them.

"Wait, you're leaving just like that?". The woman uttered with a kind of perplexed facial expression.

I turned around to glance at her, and the moment I did so, I voiced out,

"Yes, I'd be leaving now".

I glanced at her children's faces and saw that the irritated expressions on them had increased. They disliked me now, and if I didn't take time, the dislike would turn to hate.

"You asked me a question, and after answering it, you're leaving just like that?". The woman uttered once again with that perplexed expression still plastered to her face.

"Yes, that answer alone is enough to chase me away". I stated, I was just being so blunt.

I wasn't even blunt enough. If I wanted to be so blunt, I'd tell her that it was their fault why their situation was this bad. Her children were so lazy, and she was blind to it.

..She was even part of the reason why they were this lazy.

If I wanted to be so blunt, I'd tell her all these, and she wouldn't like it at all. But I shouldn't try to stir up something that would lead into another thing.

So I better leave without saying much to them, that's the best way not to stir up something big.

"So, I'd be leaving now".

And after saying that, I began walking away until I walked out of the house completely. They didn't try to stop me, they didn't say anything to me. It was a smooth walk out of the house.

After walking out of the house and having strolled some meters away from it, I noticed the small boy running toward me until he reached me.

Yes, he was the one that brought me to their home. What I did was somehow unfair, this boy sacrificed the game he was playing with his friends just to bring me here.

He could have ignored me when I told him to take me to his house, but he didn't. He left the game he was playing just to bring me here.

..And look at me leaving just like that?

There was nothing I could do about it, his family doesn't deserve to be helped though they badly need it. And I was also trying to accomplish a quest which involved a good amount of money.

I can't afford to do something wrong that would make me fail the quest and miss out on the rewards.

After reaching me, the boy said, "Is this why you told me to bring you to my home? To question us and know the things you aren't supposed to know? And now, you're leaving just like that?".

I placed my right palm on his hair and caressed them a little, then I voiced out...

"I'm really sorry boy, things didn't just go the way I wanted it to go. Once again, I'm really sorry".

And after making that utterance, I put my right hand into one of my pockets and brought out a $20 note before handing it over to the boy, and he didn't waste time to collect it.

Then I said to him once again, "Manage it boy".

I caressed his hair once again before I resumed walking. I was able to have a little conversation with a certain poor family, but things didn't go well.

They don't deserve help, her grown up kids were just too lazy. If only they deserved my help, then I would have helped them in one way or the other.

And after that, I'd need to render help to another poor family, and quest accomplished. But it wouldn't go that easily...the system knew why she gave me 10 days as the time limit to accomplish the quest.

..Now that my first attempt had failed, what next?

Would I get discouraged and start heading back to the hotel? No, that wouldn't be wise at all. What I needed to do was to find another poor kid and persuade him to take me to his home.

Then the same thing would take place...with the conversation I'd have with the family, I'd be able to tell if they were worthy to be helped or not.

Did they have a valid reason for being in the situation they were in? Yes, I needed to confirm that. I know the system would also notify me if a family isn't worthy to be helped even if they needed help badly.

Now, the aim was to find another poor kid, a boy, and persuade him to take me to his family. I must do so in a way that wouldn't gather attention.

I can't afford to let anyone suspect me when I don't have any bad intentions...

I don't plan on going back to that place where I was able to get that boy to take me to his home. If I go there, I'd most likely meet those kids there.

And from the look of things, all of their families were poor. I can simply get another one to take me to his family. But I can't go there 'cause of that boy, he'd have most likely gone back there.

..And there was a very high possibility he'd told everyone there what I did when I arrived at his home.

If I go back there, there's a high chance I wouldn't be able to get any kid to take me to his family. They could even disrespect me...you know kids can be so disrespectful sometimes.

So I better find other poor kids that could lead me to their families. I was only trying to accomplish a quest here. I began walking on the streets once again searching for poor kids.

From time to time, I noticed some people staring at me as I was walking, that same thing was repeating itself...

And you know what? Anytime I noticed a set of people staring at me, I wouldn't even do like I noticed them at all. I'd just walk past like it wasn't humans that were glancing at me.

I don't care about their gazes, all I cared about was finding kids right now. It would be good if I can find them in a group, that would make things easier for me.

..And after the passing of a few minutes, I found a group of kids.
