POV:- Olivia [Liv]

Beep....Beep...Beep…..

It was 5 am in the morning when my alarm started to beep. I reached out to the bedside furniture beside my bed and then snoozed the alarm for another 30 minutes.

"Wake up!!!" I could sense someone very close to my ear, tapping me and calling my attention.

I slowly opened my eyes and saw that it was Amanda, my roommate.

"Get up Liv, It's 6:30. You know Mr. Louis won't allow anyone into his class if he gets there before them" she said with concern.

I due to the midnight study that I did.

After hearing that, I got off the bed and hurried into the bathroom.

I and Amanda have been living together since our first year in college. We both came for the campus tour and we found out that we had things in common. We explored the university together, sharing stories and laughter. And on the day of resumption, fate intervened and we became roommates.

"Good morning Mr. Emmanuel " we both greeted the old man who is the college's security personnel.

Mr. Emmanuel is a very nice man. Everyone Likes and respects him. Whenever there is a misunderstanding between anyone he would always settle it.

"How are you, Liv and.... What's your name again?" he said with a smile on his face.

" It's Amanda sir" she said.

"I'm sorry. I don't get to remember your name everytime we meet" the man said with concern.

"No problem sir. Nobody is perfect!" Amanda replied immediately so as to make the man feel better.

"We appreciate your time. We'll be on our way now. Thank you for the conversation" I said as I furiously glanced on my wrist watch.

"Okay. Have a great day. Please study hard so that your parents and I will be proud of you" he added as we were waving him bye.

As we were walking in the direction of our department. I mistakenly collided with an individual.

"Watch it , you scumbag!" he said in a disrespectful and mannerless manner.

I wanted to apologise but his words made me angry. How dare he call me that! I looked back in disdain, but when I saw that it was no other guy but Dave, the guy who has always been on my nerves because I refused to date him when he requested, I hissed.

"Don't you know how to use your magic words?" he said with a loud voice.

"Hey! Just because I didn't accept you doesn't mean you should treat me anyhow or even try to insult me " I carefully said so that he could contain all the details.

"Me….? I've never met you!" he denied. "What do you have to offer? You are ugly, dull and dumb".

"Wow!"

I became very annoyed. Why are guys like this? Did he just say we've never met? I wished I could just grab his neck and bite it so hard until I was satisfied.

"Can't you talk or is your tongue cut" he yelled.

This time he was creating a scene and all eyes were now on us. I tried to excuse myself " I'll be on my way now, I don't have time for this shit!"

"How dare you walk out on me!" I heard him say while he dragged me and gave me a resounding slap.

Without a second thought, I returned the slap to him " Don't you have manners?"

I became very annoyed and I couldn't tolerate such from a guy "Didn't your parents give you home training?"

My eyes were filled with tears but I couldn't let them drop. I held it so as to avoid embarrassment.

We almost got into a physical combat but our colleagues came to separate us.

Amanda tried to convince me "Let it go Liv!You know how guys behave sometimes" .

As we were able to turn we heard a deep baritone voice "what's happening over there?"

Immediately, everyone became frightened.
