When I killed the men that surrounded Willow and me, after the ruckus we caused, I activated Stone Cold and due to my emotions, the people nearby died.

Them dying counted as kills and gave me xp, stats, and abilities.

Unfortunately, I didn't get the ability General because Willow killed them but it didn't matter because I never told her about me being able to steal abilities.

But that is why I have enough mana to fight the centipede.

The men around me didn't even notice Logan's death. They, like him, were frozen in fear.

"GAAA!" The centipede screamed out again as it took out another group of soldiers.

'Fuck, stop killing my xp!'

Annoyed at the beast that was killing tens of men in minutes I charged at it.

'Ignite.'

Running past many people I reached out my hand and torn off someone's head.

I didn't know who it was nor did I care. I just needed something to throw.

Having the random man's head in my hands I could feel the warm blood soak them.

Putting the head in my right hand I then reached out my left and tore off another person's head.

'Ignite.'

With a head in each arm, I continued running towards the giant bug.

'Seven'

The twenty seconds before the explosion were quickly passing by.

I couldn't activate any speed abilities due to being out of mana which was why I was running at my fastest speed.

'Two.'

Tossing the heads at the centipede I watched in the air as they heated up and moved closer to it.

'One.'

The heads were nearly at the centipede.

'Zero.'

*BOOM*

It only took those two seconds for the heads to reach the beast.

Knowing it was a direct hit I waited for the smoke to clear from the explosion.

"YAAAA!"

"WHOO!"

"WE WON!"

"VICTORY!"

"WEAK MONSTE-"

*BOOOM*

The early celebrations gave enough time for the beast to bet back up and this time it was angry.

With a second bigger explosion in the distance, a section of the beast broke up through the ground.

'This thing is fucking huge. It completely covers us from underground,' I realize as I check MAP.

Looking at the place where I hit the monster I saw that there was actually… no damage.

The centipede has a hard outside shell protecting it although I managed to crack it some it didn't harm the beast in any way.

Health: 99%

'Fuck, it actually went up!' I say as I check it with GOD'S EYE.

My mana was still at 1 and there was no way I would be able to use any abilities on it.

'Looks like it's time for the backup plan.'

With the 1 mana, I have left I activate Stone Cold and direct it towards to soldiers near me.

They were already scared to death of the beast so it was easy to literally scare them to death with my ability.

Killing a hundred or so men instantly I looked through their abilities to see if I could find any useful.

Then I saw it.

LIFE OR DEATH: Sacrifice your health for mana or sacrifice your mana for health. {This is a passive ability it will not cost mana to use}

Health: 100% -> 94%

Mana: 0 -> 38 (38)

'Ah, fuck! It feels like I just got the worst headache of my life!' I complain as my head pounds.

'I still need twelve more.'

Leaving behind the dead zone I just created I move over to another group of people.

'Stone Cold.'

Mana: 36 (49)

'Are you kidding me?!'

Running towards another group of soldiers I just raise my fits and start punching.

I literally punch through people's heads and bodies as I rack up a bunch more kills.

My hands were soaking and dripping with blood as they were now completely red.

Mana: 36 (57)

'LIFE OR DEATH.'

"UGH," I complain aloud.

Health: 94% -> 91%

Mana: 36 -> 57 (57)

The headache was now a terrible migraine that was radiating in my head.

'Finally!'

Getting a dark smile I say one of my favorite abilities.

'Implode.'

Around the head of the centipede an invisible box forms and begins crushing its head.

This time knowing for a fact that it would die I plop down on the ground to get some rest.

However, something unexpected happens.

The centipede activated Acid.

I barely had any time to react due to the speed of its ability.

All I saw was bright green and the force of Implode shattering.

"Shit," I moan in pain as I regain my consciousness.

Everything hurt but my back felt like it had been torn off due to the extreme pain I was feeling.

"You're awake!" Willow says.

"You know you wasted two days of our adventure together! Plus I wanted to stay by your side so I didn't get to have any fun!" She complained.

"Huh?" I mumble not understanding what she was ranting about.

As I gain my eyesight back I look around to see that I am high in the sky.

But when I look down I see that I was actually laying on the branch of a tree.

"What happened?" I ask.

"Well, you tried acting all cool and taking the centipede on by yourself so after activating an ability of yours that was about the kill the beast. It decided to try and take you down with him. So the bug activated its ability and shot acid out of its mouth. The acid filled up this box-like thing which in turn killed the centipede but it also melted through your ability. Once it did the acid broke free and came crashing down on you," She concludes.

"Then how am I still alive?"

"That I don't know, once I saw the attack I teleported over to you to try and save you but I was too late. When I arrived at your body I saw that you were completely fine just knocked out. So I let out a breath glad that you were still alive and when I looked again I saw that your back was melting in the acid that was still around you. So I grabbed you and teleported you away. I seemed like you were immune to the acid for a second before it took effect?"

'But I don't have a poison immunity ability. So what saved me?'
