Evelyn Sherman shook her head, feeling a little spaced out.
She bumped into someone while not paying attention.
The petite figure was pushed back a few steps before unexpectedly tripping over a step and tumbling backward.
"Ah-"
She instinctively closed her eyes, awaiting the onset of pain.
But after a moment, she found that she seemed to be hanging in mid-air.
Startled, she quickly stood up after opening her eyes to confront a completely unfamiliar face.
"One good deed a day, no need to thank," the man said with a mischievous smile on his face, even before Evelyn Sherman could say a word.
The flaxen short hair fluttering slightly covered his forehead, but could not hide his extraordinarily narrow, peach-blossom eyes.
His outstanding facial features caught people's eyes instantly.
Black is generally a stable color. However, it gave him a touch of unruly charm.
A man whom one would notice at one glance and yet, would want to stay away from.
