21- Jealous

CHINKY's POV

"HELLO, Grandma, how are you?" I greeted as I opened the front door, hugged and kissed her on the cheeks. She looks so happy and always beautiful. She didn't look like on her seventy's.

"Hello, hija." she greeted me back and hugged me too.

Hmmm... Felt so comfortable and loved. I suddenylly missed my family too but we were able to call each other no matter how busy we were. I heard Nanay was busy with her new business — the loading business, so besides from selling fish in the market, she also have something else to do.

I'm also happy to know that my sisters have re-established their business in the Mall, they are business partners too, along with their husbands.

"You look so radiant and happy, hija." Grandma complimented. I told her about my family and their new businesses and she was happy for us.

I brought Grandma a snack to the living room. I had just come to work before Grandma came, I had been browsing videos in youtube and had decided to watch Eat Bulaga's Los Viajeros. Those three men are so handsome and very appealing! But of course, my husband is still more handsome than everyone else. Gosh! Am i really having a crush on him? Oh, noooo.. Sshh, just don't spread this secret, okay?

For sure, when he found out about this secret, he would have a hydrocephalus and his head would eventually grew bigger.

"Do you always take your vitamins? Are you eating at the right time? How's our little angel? Why don't you take a maternal leave, hija." She asked unstoppably.

I smiled. I could feel her excitement and she is even more excited than Chrys.

"Don't worry about me, Grandma, I am doing great." Then I sat down next to her.

"Just don't get tired, okay? By the way, my other grandchild from the States came back last week and we will be having a welcome party for him tomorrow. I want you and Chrys to attend." She said.

"Is the whole family going?" I asked.

I suddenly felt nervous. For sure, they are all good-looking people, what if I don't belong to their family or out of place? What if, I would look like Chrys' PA than a wife? I'm really shy, I'm not used to social gatherings like that.

This is not a "pucho-pucho" party because The Cruises, a well-known business tycoons are gathering together.

"A-Ahm, Grandma—"

"I will not accept a" NO" for an answer." She smiled.

So, "YES" is the only answer? I sighed. I don't have any choices left. It wasn't until thirty minutes later when Chrys arrived looking tired.

"Hello, my loving grandchild." Grandmother greeted Chrys. Chrys quickly approached Grandma and he hugged and kissed her on the cheeks.

"What are you doing here, grandma?" he asked.

"I am personally inviting you two, to Elix's welcome party tomorrow. I hope you will come."

"We'll try." Chrys said, then walked into his room but Grandma quickly stopped him.

"All of our family members are going, this is like a reunion for us. That's why the both of you must be there! " said grandma. Chrys nodded and headed to his room.

"I'm so sorry, he looks so tired." I said to Grandma. All of a sudden grandma hugged me.

"Thank you for the endurance and patience. I know in God's perfect time, you can change his views in life. Just be more patient and love him each of everyday. " she said. Then she pulled away from me and cupped my face. "Thank you." She smiled, so I smiled at her too.

"It's okay, grandma." I answered.

I wondered why something suddenly flashed in my heart when Grandma said "love him each of everyday". Gosh! I might just wake up one day, and I already love him.

But since that day has not yet come — it seems as if I really hope that day will come — I will be happy first, sleep and eat more — because, Love experts said that when a person is in love, they have difficulty to sleep, they loss their appetite and so on So I will grab this opportunity to have fun.

"Okay, I'm going ahead, your husband looks tired. " Grandma said.

"All right, please be careful. I'll just ask Manong Carlito to drive carefully."

"Okay, I will. Bye. " She kissed me and she finally left the Condo.

Ten minutes later Chrys came out of his room. And went straight to the kitchen. I cooked mechado and adobo for our dinner.

"If you're tired of working, you can have a maternal leave." He said. He sat on the dining chair. The dishes are ready served.

"No. I'm fine." I answered. I sat in the dining chair opposite him.

"But you work in the company and at home too, aren't you tired?" he asked.

Then he sighed big. Wait, did he just worry about me?

"Don't push yourself, remember there's already a baby in your stomach, you need to take care of him."

He was worried about the baby not me. But hey, the baby is inside me, so, we are counted as one, right?

"I'll just get a maid—"

"Oh, no." i cut his words. "I"m okay, I enjoy what I'm doing."

Doing the household chores is not just an obligation or a responsibility. I want to do it not because I need to do it but because I like to do it. Just like that.

He kept quiet, I noticed that he put more rice in his plate. I kept smiling secretly. He seems to like the food I cooked.

After our dinner, I stood up to clean the table when he held my hand to stop me from what I'm doing. I felt a tiny power outage in my system, so I quickly stepped away from him.

"Get rest. " He said. What? I am shocked! "I said, get rest! " he repeated.

Wait a minute! What is it again? My Gosh! I'm not slow, I just couldn't believe what I heard. Chrysler Prime Cruise as a dishwasher? Oh Heavenly God, there must be a miracle! Hallelujah! Praise your name!

"What are you waiting for?" he said harshly. Then he quickly avoided the look when my eyes were fixed on him. All right, maybe he's sick? "What the heck are you stikl doing?!" he said sarcastically. I was surprised.

"Are you sure you can wash?" I asked.

"Of course, what do you think of me — a person with disability?" he said sarcastically.

But no matter what he said, I still smiled. My goodness, Chrys! Don't do things that I am not used to it— if you don't want me to like you. But honestly, I just couldn't believe it. I know he's tired of work too, so I often volunteer for housework, but now? It's really unbelievable and unpredictable.

CHRYSLER'S POV

I just offered myself to wash the dishes, it is as if I am doing a miracle. She smiled before leaving me in the kitchen. Aish! That's why I don't want to do things that I am not used to, because I looked like an idiot in front of others.

Because I know she is tired, too, adding that she is pregnant, so maybe washing the dishes is the least thing that I could do, right? But for sure, when they found out about this thing in the company; my friends, Grandma and Elix they might die in laughter.

I sighed. I started washing the plates, but I was startled when the plate slipped and it fell off on the floor. Epic! That's why I used disposable plates when I am still alone.

I don't have an epilepsy, okay, but I don't know why it always slipped away. Argh!! I quickly picked up the pieces of the plate on the floor, but sh*t, my thumb was cut!

"What happened? You okay — oh my golly wow!" Chinky was shocked, and she immediately approached. She quickly grabbed my thumb to wash it in the flowing water.

"I'm okay." I said. But the blood is already dripping down my finger.

"Wait." she said, then she quickly left. Shortly thereafter, she returned with a medkit. She sat down in the dining chair and then pulled out a chair in front of her. "Seat here." And i obliged immediately.

She slowly wash my thumb with hydrogen peroxide, followed by povidone iodine. It didn't hurt but I stopped thinking as I stared at her, in front of me.

Her face is so small, her lips and cheeks are pinkish, her nose is not that pointed but cute, her eyelashes are like of dolls and she have a very amazing eyes. And by the way, why is she look so cute tonight? Just tonight! And her hands are soft even though she often worked.

Aish! Who switched off the aircon? Why is it so hot inside? I tried to avoid looking at her, but it seemed like there's a strong magnetic force pulling my eyes to look at her again, at the same time my heart suddenly fluttered.

"Okay, finished." she said, and there I immediately returned to the right mind.

She put a cartoonized bandaid on my finger. I thought I was fine, so my eyes flickered back to her as she wiped the scattered pebble on the floor, and I continued to wash.

"Earth for Chrys!" she said shaking her head and laughing. Looking like she had just finished all the tasks that I am supposed to do. I don't know what's happening to me, i am so distracted. She left and i didn't move an inch

She was already in front the TV, watching, so, I laso went there and sat down on the sofa, but I was on the other end. We are far from each other. Her attention was solely focused on the TV.

But my eyes widened when I saw what she was watching — a horror film! Suddenly i had goosebumps.

"Turn off the TV!" I commanded. It's not that I am so scared but because I was thinking.. what if the baby would look like that scary creature on TV? That's the horror!

She grinned. "Are you scared?" she teased me.

"Me? N-No! I'm just concern about the baby!" But she just secretly whines about being deceived.

"All right, if you're not really scared, watch it alone." She said.

I swallowed hard "W-What?"

She laughed. "I'm going to my room now, so that my bbay won't scared, so you watch it alone. "

What?! "I-I'm still up early tomorrow, so I can't watch it anymore." I said. I was about to stand on the sofa when she suddenly burst into laughter.

She is laughing at me. I was very upset. Okay fine! To tell you honestly, I don't really watch weird shows like horror movies. But man!

"Booooom!"

"Aaaaaaaaah!"

Sh * t! She surprised me, I yelled out! This girl is really annoying! She's getting on my nerves! Argh!

I quickly got up from the sofa, then walked into my room. I even heard her laugh. Aish! As I closed the door, I grabbed my heart. That crazy girl! I was really surprised! I took a deep breath to calm my heart and senses.

I hadn't heard any noise from outside my room, since I entered the room, an hour ago. Except for that noisy "Tuuuuut ...".

The movie was over but why didn't she turn off the TV? I was forced to leave the room to see what was happening to Chinky. I heaved a sigh when I saw that she was sleeping on the sofa!

Perhaps, she didn't finish what she was watching because she fell asleep. I approached her to wake her up.

"Chinky!"

But she answered with a snore. This girl is really asleep. After I turned off the TV, I carried her into her room. Then I gently laid her down on the bed.

When I laid her down on her bed, I noticed that our faces were so close. Suddenly my heart starts banging inside my ribcage, for no reason. Wait, what's going on with me? Did I drink coffee without knowing it? Why am I palpitating? Weird!

I swallowed hard as my eyes widened when I stared on her red lips. Damn! Why is she so cute tonight? Or maybe she's really cute but I just couldn't appreciate it because I need a thorough inspection?

I didn't even realize that my hand had come down to her cheek to fixed her hair. My face came closer and closer to her face. And to my surprise, when I saw my lips close to hers, my body had a mind of its own, as I was no longer aware of what I was doing, however, I did not condemn myself, her lips is only a few millimeters away... when she suddenly opened her eyes.

I was freeze in whatever I was planning to do, but our faces were still close to each other, as I suddenly lost my ability to act. She even blinked her eyes as if she didn't understand what was happening around her.

Fortunately, I was also able to get back to the right mindset, so my reflexes worked immediately and moved away from her.

That was close! What the heck did I do that for? Why on earth did I do that? Damn me! I need to leave the room before Chinky realized that I was in her room. I took a deep breath and I feel like the big thorn in my chest was gone. Phew! She woke up but her mind was still asleep, so, she wouldn't remember what she saw!

CHINKY's POV

I had a weird dream last night! Can you imagine Chrys is trying to kiss me on the lips? What a dream! I was sitting next to him in the car, since we were going to Cruise's mansion for Elixir's welcome party.

At last, I can visit their mansion now. I'm kinda shy but good luck to me. Chrys bought me a dress a while ago at the Mall, after work. It was a Pink above the knee dress with a short sleeve, topped with cute black sandals. I also put on a bit of liptint and blush on, so I wouldn't be look like a poor assistant of Chrys.

We are just having a sound trip mode right now, it seems that he didn't want to talk to me, is he mad or anything? I just shrugged my shoulders, maybe he woke up at the wrong side of the bed. I sighed.

He was busy driving, so I just let it go. After an hour of drive, including traffic, we finally reached the mansion!

When Chrys parked his car, I quickly got off. Wow! I'm so amazed at the Cruise's mansion! Awesomeness at its finest!

It was like a palace ruled by a Queen and a King. I can't say enough about the wealth of the Cruises. WOW!

The party venue was in the garden and many guests are already there. They also have a large swimming pool in the garden. There are also lots of orchids and roses that I am sure it's grandma's babies.

I really want to go inside for a tour, but it seems that I need a tourist guide because I might lost inside.

We went to Grandma and greeted her and I smiled at Chrys' other relatives who were there. Aside from how beautiful and handsome they are, they are also down to earth, just amazing.

"She's Chinky, Chrys' wife. " Grandmother introduced me to their relatives.

I'm surprised! I didn't prepare myself for things like this, as they introduced me to their relatives. I am no longer a secret to their family.

"Enjoy yourselves, okay?" said grandma. Chrys just nodded. Grandma then became busy with their other relatives.

"Hey, Chrys! Where's your bathroom?" I whispered to him.

"When you get inside, you turn right. I'll be waiting for you over there. " He pointed on a vacant table.

I nodded and quickly went inside the mansion. My eyes widened, as soon as I entered their house, the word 'beautiful' was not enough to describe the beauty of their home. Probably the size of the house is a combination of two titanic ships.

All the things inside were gold and silver and full of expensive antiques. There are mnay paintings that seemed to have been drawn by a famous artists and the aroma inside was perfect.

Wait, Chrys said turn right, so I turned right. But I which room is the CR? There are many doors when I turned right and there was no signage. And since I didn't know which of those doora was the CR, I just picked it by Eeny-meeny-miny-moe.

"Eeny-meeny-miny-moe, which is the door to the CR— "

"Chinky?"

A lovely voice called my name from the back, so I turned to look at that person.

"E-Elixir?" Oh, yeah, this is his welcome party, why am I still wondering to see him here?

"I thought I was just hallucinating." He smiled.

"Hello!" I greeted him and smpiled.

"It's very nice to see you here, Chinky." He smiled again. His smiles were really infectious, so I smiled too. He walked towards me.

"Did you and your co-employees come to the party?" he asked.

OMG! He still didn't know that I married to his very "kind" cousin.

"Uhm-"

"Oh, that's okay. Come on out, the Party is about to start. " He said.

"Huh? I still need to pee." I said shyly.

"Oh! Sorry, go ahead. I'll just wait for you here. " He smiled.

"Ahm, can I ask a question? Which of those doors is the way to the CR?" I am really embarassed.

He chuckled. "You know what, you're really cute."

He said, then he pinched my cheek. I was just asking the door going to the CR and I am already cute? Can I ask more so I can be told how cute I am several times? LOL.

"At the fifth door, grandma was too fascinated with rooms, so this house have lots of rooms." he laughed.

I smiled. "Yeah, i think so, thanks." Then I started to walk to the CR, but I turned my attention to him again. "Elix, just get in the garden, I'll be right next." It's embarrassing for him to wait for me.

"No! I'll just wait you here. Take your time. " He said.

I never argued. Elixir is really gentleman. Hope my baby inherits this behavior. When I entered the fifth door. My eyes are again widened because of the beauty and size of their CR! The size of our house in the Province is about the size of it.

You can even put a king size bed and dining table inside. It smells good. Now, I am wondering why Chrys even bought a condo, when he already have a very nice, spacious home.

Hmm .. Maybe it's because his condo is closer to the company.

I did what I was supposed to do in CR, then I went out right away.

I saw Elixir standing at the glass door while looking out at the garden where the party was taking place. He looks like a hot super model, so does Chrysler. They really have a very good genes. So, my baby is lucky.

I was walking closer to Elixir, when he felt my presence, so he quickly turned his attention to me, then smiled.

As I got closer to where he was, my stomach began to create noises! Baby and I were already hungry. Tssh... We just had a snack at the Mall a while ago.

I heard him chuckled. I smiled out of shame.

"Let's go! You're hungry. " he said. I just nodded, then went out of the house. As we were walking he suddenly stopped, so I stopped, then he stared at me. "By the way, you look so gorgeous tonight!" and he gave me a mind blowing smile. It took me about five million minutes to recover.

I couldn't help but laugh. "Do you have a normal vision?"

He wondered on what i said. "Why?"

"Because apart from my family, you are the first person who told me that." I confessed. I got nervous when he suddenly bowed, so that our faces could be equal.

"Because they are all blind." he replied. "You're beautiful Chinky, you're cute, funny and very witty."

What a compliment! My gosh, my heart was pounding for what he said, so I couldn't help smiling. Then he squeezed both of my cheeks again.

CHRYSLER's POV

She seems to have lost her way. I'm hungry! But when I ate alone, Grandma would tell me selfish. Aish! I got up from sitting in the dining chair, looking for her. I was walking into the house when I suddenly stopped, because I saw Chinky, standing at the glass door, with — Elixir!

I saw Elixir bow before Chinky, then he said something. Then suddenly he pinched Chinky's cheek.

I was very upset because I had seen this scene before in the company. Are they close friends already? Chinky suddenly seemed to be concious in front of him, so I couldn't help but think that she might have a crush on my cousin.

Noooo! She can't do that! She's married and she isn't supposed to talk to any other man - just me! I don't know what my cousin is planning to do, but Chinky's not his type. As far as I know, supermodels are his type.

Buy why am I so annoyed? I treaded the chair next to me, but my foot hit the iron table. Ouch! Annoying! My eyes widened as I saw them coming closer to where I was.

They didn't have to see me, so I hurried up hide myself... to the table --below the table! Damn Why here? Argh! Fortunately, there weren't many people in that part! If not, I would surely die of shame! I'm Chrysler Prime Cruise, for Pete's sake!
