Chapter 5-Clichés are happening all around me

I have been spending time with this family and has been very hard to accept their end.

That's why I have decided that I will save them, I will prevent them from dying.

I just need to figure out how.

I have thought of some strategies:

-first marry into richness! This one is a hard pass I have been here over a few months and to see a rich person they have to deliberately to come down here to the village even then they are heavily protected by their guards and knights. So cross that!

- second make myself rich! In many novels the transmigrated character always finds away to take advantage of their knowledge of modern world to make riches.

Jokes on me we are not in a very technological era so my knowledge goes to the gutter, is not like I can invent electricity either.

This is getting harder than I thought.

We have a small piece a land we could raise food, the problem I wouldn't know where to begin, and I am pretty sure the neighbours would steal it while we were away...

Yeah I am pretty useless, with all my knowledge. I can't help but to laugh.

"Big sister are you okay?" Little Zack was making a worried face.

"Big sis is fine!! Let's go home. " I hold his hand while I carry the small basket with fruits we picked up, in the woods.

I just hope none of this are poisonous. Last time I did caught a lot that was poisonous, I almost finished the family before the famine.

I could easily be a huge walking red flag, for this family.

However I am more confident because Zack helped me in picking the fruits suitable for consumption.

I would not survive alone in the wilderness, I would have died at least 3 times today, just for picking the wrong fruit.

Note to self fruits that look delicious are dangerous!!

"Big sister ?? You making wierd faces again."

"Ahahha am I?" Children are so brutally honest.

As we went home we went through the village, you can see the crashing difference between us and rest of the village.

The ones who lives in the outskirts are very poor, they can't afford the house closer to the center. We were really poor so our house was not at all close, probably one of the furthest.

Even the clothes were better, shoes were more resistant to the ground. The people could buy a little luxury like cakes a sweet candies.

Zack was watching the little kids play, and eating cakes and candie's his mouth watered as we walked by.

"Do you also want some?." I automatically asked. His face was full of sorrow.

What cruel being I am, of course he wants he would not bring himself to ask for it, even if was his last dying wish. This kid knew before he could walk that the family had no means to get a hand on this kind of items.

I wanted to punch myself to hold back my tears.

All I could do was smile, at him. "Those are not that delicious anyway."

He looked at me and nodded. He knew it wasn't true but was better to think that way to trick his own desire.

There was a lady coming out of the sweet store, she was so immersed in her own thing, she bumped against a young man that was passing by. Her sweets bag dropped to the floor.

He hastiy helped her pick up everything. As they both went down they looked at each others eyes...

Red flowers and sparkling stars come out of that stare, they were lost in each other eyes.

And that romance awakening was happening right in front of me. I couldn't step forward without disrupting their little moment.

But I also couldn't help but to enjoy it .

"Oh Carmelia what happened?" Lady Bianca helped Lady Carmelia up taking her out of her dazed state.

Lady Carmelia?? Ohhh that's the FL best friend. The one that makes Lady Bianca go to the masked ball in her stead.

They do have similar figure and blond locks, I see why Lady Carmelia's father was easily deceived. Since Ceasar is a Marquess, Lady Camelia's father was very eager to marry those two after the ball happened.

To the aristocracy, it was always good to marry someone in the higher status and never down that's why, her father disapproved of her real love...

... Sir Leon. A mere knight without a power or house name to back him up.

"Ohh I dropped my things."Lady Carmelia said without breaking her gaze with the knight.

" Hello Sir Leon. " Bianca greeted.

"Hello Lady Bianca." Sir Leon broke the gaze feast to greet lady Bianca. "I must apologise I was not paying attention and bumped against the Lady. "

"No, no is all my fault, I was not paying attention." Lady Carmelia said shyly, which got the attention from the FL, since her best friend was not at all shy.

I was still there watching like I was invisible, they didn't even notice my presence like a faceless drawing of filler character on the background.

Finally things got wrapped up as they exchanged their final goodbyes and stares.

The knight left, and the girls giggled away...ahhhh, I sighted, no matter what time and era... Us girls will behave the same when we fall in love....

We walked further down, the owner of the shop came out yelling at us.

I turned around not understanding why. Zack was shyly hiding behind me.

"You little dirty brat, are you stealing my sweets. "

I didn't understand at first when he came angrly screaming against us. "Give it back." He finally approached us, extending his hand to Zack, he wanted back the sweets Zack had picked up from the floor.

I couldn't believe this guy, "he didn't steal, this were probably on the floor and picked up." I said with my hands on my the hips.

The shop owner scoffed at my defense, clearly not convinced by my explanation. "I don't buy that excuse for a second. Kids like him always find a way to steal something," he retorted, his voice filled with suspicion.

Feeling outraged and protective over Zack, I firmly stood my ground. "You have no right to accuse him without any proof. It's not fair to judge someone based on assumptions," I argued, my voice growing louder and more determined.

Zack gripped my hand tightly, clearly scared of the situation unfolding before him. I reassured him with a hand squeeze, silently telling him to trust me.

" You little... You think I've never seen this before? I know how these things work, trash like you shouldn't be walking on the village" the owner snapped back, his face turning red with anger.

He took the sweet out of the Zack's little hand and screamed "Get away from my shop and don't ever come back!"

He then threw the sweet on the floor stepping on it. He leaned on me and told me almost in a whisper. "This is not for your kind."

I couldn't believe what he just did - how can a human being treat another human being like this.

I wanted to give him a piece of my mind, but I knew that would only escalate the situation further. And I knew that the difference in our status would get us in trouble.

I grabbed Zack's hand and turned to leave, not wanting to waste any more time or energy on someone so closed-minded.

As we walked away, I couldn't help but feel a mix of anger, frustration, and sadness for Zack. No child should have to experience such unfair treatment.

Though he shouldn't have caught the sweets of the floor, I still understand why he did it.

That day, I vowed to make it up to Zack in some way. And some day I would make enough money to buy him all the sweets he wanted.

As we were crossing the street, from the other side walks a person bumping into me make me drop my basket fruit.

Different from Lady Carmelia, this one didn't help, only angrily stared and stepped a few of the fruits that fell on the ground. Zack and me picked up as quickly, as possible so others fruits wouldn't get crushes as well.

Ahhhhhh.... I could only sight ...Clichés are happening all around me, I must have invisible shield that repels love, and good people.

We arrived home, finally, Zack went to tell Zoe about our journey through the village, and what he had seen, surprisingly while telling the story he didn't point out the unfair treatment of the man towards us, but he was telling, Zoe, how Big sister, was brave and spoke up to the bad man.

Zoe was so excited, claimed she wanted to be next one to go with big sister picking the fruits.

I couldn't help but to smile at those two. I took a little black fruit out of the basket and they were surprisingly sweet. I never had tried those before.

An idea come in to mind. Jam!!! I could make jam! What did I need for it again??

A damn telephone with internet now, would do the trick.
