Chapter 20-Secrets Unveiled

It was a while until we let go of eachother.

Mothers sickness was like a nail in our shoes noone dared to removed it, because of our guilt.

Finally we were free of that guilty our grievances were finally being healed.

Even though I am not the real daughter I still felt alot anger towards the father, even though he was silently trying to mend for his mistakes, taking in all the blame for himself.

I am glad that part is solved now we can focus on getting the family back on its feet.

However before that some things I need to have explained.

The night mist was forming outside,

I stood across from Mr. Cirius, filled with a mixture of gratitude , anger and confusion.

The cold night had just started, a golden glow from the fire place lit up the room, warming the atmosphere but I tried to put a cold and guarded front, I didn't want him to think I could be easily be tricked.

"Mr. Cirius, care to explain what is going on?" I demanded, my voice filled with pent-up frustration. "Why did you pretend to be someone else? And why were you showing so much interest in my younger sister, Saya?"

Mr. Cirius sighed, looking earnestly into my eyes. "Rahua please understand that I never meant to cause any harm or deceive you or your family," he began, his voice gentle and calm yet and his attitude was aloof.

My anger intensified, as I notice his nonchalant demeanor "You make it sound like it was no big deal, when you sound like that," I retorted.

Mr. Cirius winced, realizing how his tone had been perceived. "Rahua, there is so much more to this than meets the eye. I promise you, everything will be revealed in due time. Please, give me a chance to explain myself, and why I was so curious about you and your sister."

Reluctantly, I nodded, curiosity beginning to overshadow my frustration.

As Mr. Cirius spoke, he revealed his true identity as a Mage, that he has purpose that he must fulfil, and when we came into his life he was trying to scare us away assuming the the identity of Lady Morgana, a very known disgraced mage.

Since he thought everyone in town knew her and her story, he disguised himself as her.

He expected for us to leave running and not come back. However to his surprise that didn't happen, not only we didn't know who she was but we seem to have some kind of magical abilities.

I wanted to laugh and say 'as if'. But today I found out that the father had some magic abilities so everything was not as far fetched as it seemed.

"Thanks to your father you and your sisters possess some incredible magical abilities"

"Incredible?? Not just a little bit of magic?" I sarcasticly retorted. In the OG story there was a Mage storyline, happening in the background, that merged with Ceasar storyline towards the end.

Because of that Ceaser gained a very strong backing from the Mages, and some nobles joined aswell.

Later he restored the culture and brought the kingdom to its former glory, sunddenly it dawned on me, the story that lady Morgana, I mean Mr. Cirius made me read wasn't just a story.

" When we first met... You made me read a story, it wasn't just a story right?" I felt my heart pounding in excitement somehow, felt like some pieces of a puzzle were coming together.

"I was wondering when would you finally make a connection, it took you longer than I had imagined." He said whimsically.

I glared at him, and he laughed, as if wasn't taking me seriously.

That was the story of this kingdom. The king son and the other King daughter had special abilities, they possessed the knowledge, they shared that ability with other people who had afinity to magic, and so was the this kingdom developed.

"Are you saying we possess magical powers to fight beasts and help the knighthood?"Kira excitement was very palpable.

"Ahhh no, actually I don't think you have any powerful magical power per se, your abilities are of knowledgable kind. At least you and your sister Rahua." Kira looked uninterested and disappointed.Mr Cirius just laughed in her change of attitude.

"Don't get me wrong is a very incredible ability, but not the fighting kind." Kira still didn't looked convinced.

"Your sister, Rahua, she can read magical books without being thought, it's an ability that not every mage masters. Some take their time to learn, some never manage to learn, like your father. she has a natural, aptness to it." He said.

I really thought it had to do with the fact that I came from another world, since I already knew how to read, I thought it just translated in my head.

At least that's the explanation I gave to myself.

"Saya's ability I still would like to try something." Mr Cirius gets up and leaves the room for a moment.

He quickly returns with a necklace, I recognised the piece of jewellery, he had tried to force Saya take it as a gift but she refused sensing some wierd motive behind the generosity.

"I apologize for earlier, since, I know we been through this, I know my approach at the time was less than correct but would you hold it again please Saya?"

He extended his hand to her, giving her the piece of jewellery, a necklace that had a huge green stone attach to it.

Saya hand slowly reach it, and the stone started to glow brightly. Saya looked terrified with her knew found ability.

"Don't be afraid, this is the power within you flowing through this rock. Please take it and let it flow through you." As she held the necklace the power flow was imense, Saya entire body shone, Like a power pillar exuding it's force. She fell to the ground, I wanted to help her but father and Mr Cirius held me and Kira back.

"Don't touch her . " Said Father, holding Kira while Mr Cirius was holding me back, "She needs to control it first."

"Don't be afraid Lady Saya, you control it, not the other way around." Cirius instructed "Breathe, calm your heart, it won't hurt you."

Slowly the power began to dim around Saya's body, becoming smaller and smaller until it faded.

Saya looked tired, as she smiled at us.

I had no idea what had happened, however I felt happy for her.
