I just want to rest.

Life is fun, depressing, and full of surprises. I was content with my life until I died, and was told that, my life has just begun. If I pierce the skies to have a nap in clouds who will stop me. No one. I'll play all your games whiles building my kingdom. PS : Maths is not a game and does not count.

A new World

Li Meirong's hands trembled as she held her exam. It was the moment of truth, had her hard work paid off? From the bottom to the top, she slowly and carefully examined her exam. Till her eyes laid on a D, staring down at the big red D on her maths Exam. Her heart sank. She had spent the past Nights studying for this Exam, yet she failed.

As her classmates chatted and giggled around her, Li Meirong felt as if the world was playing a cruel joke on her. She looked up at her teacher and her teacher gave her a smile.

Don't be too hard on yourself.

She let out a little snicker. Not hard on myself.

The teacher went in front of the class to continue her lecture.

The words the teacher said became a foreign language. She didn't understand. Li Meirong looked out of the window and observed the grumpy grey clouds.

The bell rang, signalling the end of class. She shoved the exam into her bag trying to hide her embarrassment. She walked out with her head hung low.

Why is maths so hard?

She dragged herself to the bus stop. There she waited while looking at her phone with a huge hood covering her head. On the bus, she sat down with her eyes remaining on the phone. It was an article about how to increase your intelligence. In her eyes, tears welled up. She looked up and heard a ring of laughter from a small child.

The world is still bright. If you laugh about it, she giggled to herself. Her smile was genuine. It was warm and sunny. The person beside her caught a glimpse of this smile. Automatically smiled.

She could not hold herself back and smiled again. I shouldn't be dwelling in the past, life must go on. I can learn from mistakes till there are none. Her eyes wandered onto the scenery behind the glass window. Rays of light pierced through the once grumpy clouds.

If I solve maths problems every single day, I would get better at it.

Li Meirong got off the bus and waved at the little child.

Crossing the street a truck came at her at full speed. No Truck kun Sama, not today Li Meirong ran to the other side of the street but unlucky for her. Her head hit the traffic light and she fell unconscious.

. ****.

Water submerged her. She was abruptly pushed from behind. To reawaken on a huge bed with embroidered coral and sea patterns. Pillows flooded the bed, many in the shape of turtles.

What in the world was happening?

She tried getting off the bed, but her legs couldn't hold her up, and she fell to the ground. She was exhausted. A glimpse of a table where a few biscuits were coming through her droopy eyes.

Biscuits she licked her lips and wiggled herself to the table. The once exhausted girl regained some energy from the mere sight of biscuits. With one hand on the table, she grabbed a biscuit.

Delicious

Li Meirong closed her eyes enjoying the sweetness of the biscuits. She had not eaten breakfast and was starving.

Maybe I brought my hunger to this life. Wait, This can't be my cheat.

In all the Fan fiction and web novels, I have read. I was not able to evade the transmigration trope and had to be hit by the god of death truck kun Sama. A cliché of all the clichés.

So where is my cheat?

I will not accept to transmigrate without a cheat.

She choked on the biscuit in her mouth and fainted.

She regained consciousness. Opening her eyes she felt a sharp pain on her forehead. She felt a sticky substance on her face. A sense of familiarity, this was where she bumped herself at the traffic light.

Have the heavens changed their minds?

Out of stock on the cheats or what?

With one leg on the road and her body on the pavement, she couldn't move. Many people walked by as if no one was there. Li Meirong used her last bit of strength to tug on the trousers of a man.

He looked down before knitting his brows and raising his shoulders.

He stood there for a while talking on the phone, and all she could hear was YOLO (You only live once).

Well, thank you for reminding me. She rolled her eyes inwardly.

Stars spun, and her vision went black.

With a pant, she jolted up from bed.

Where she forcefully opened her droopy eyes. A ray of light shone in her eyes.

Too bright she covered them. A few seconds later she opened her eyes and looked in the other direction allowing her eyes to adjust to the light.

Where am I?

The bed is covered with sea and turtles.

In the air was a fragrance quite identical to the beach. It was so refreshing until a certain force pulled her back.

Her eyes tightly shut she could hear the busy road and cars.

What was going on?

Before she got a clear picture of what was going on. The same force engulfed her and plunged her deep into her consciousness. A memory played in front of her. A baby girl with chubby cheeks and dressed in pink giggling in the bosom of a man. Li Meirong took a closer look and noticed the baby looked like her. Soon the baby fell asleep, but the man had a worried look.

A voice woke her from this memory forcefully opening her eyes she looked to find.

A ghost, she screamed.

She quickly patted herself. Well, I am here, so how am I also there?

Foremost, calm down.

How do you expect me to calm down?

Hush someone is coming.

Her eyes went wide as she looked at the door open inwardly.

She lay on the bed and pretended to be asleep.

They entered.

As I said, master, she has awoken. A man strode in. His garments seemed to be split into two. On one side he wore a black robe with a white shirt under and on the other a white robe and black undergarments.

In his arms was a rooster and on his shoulder was a Rat.

Li Meirong peeked with one eye.

This peek met with the man.

She really is awake. Thank you.

Call the family head his granddaughter has awakened.

Little miss, how are you?

Do you remember me? I used to give you sweets and cakes. I used to have a beard on which you pulled.

Yue Er has awakened. My sleeping princess. An old man ran in and gave her a hug.

You must be hungry. What do you like to eat? He talked to her like a little child.

Today is your birthday, your first birthday.

Master, she will be turning 14.

14 You are kidding, look at her. He said pointing at her. Then he took a closer look.

Whether 14 or 1 she will remain grandpa's sweet turtle.

Come along Yue Er. Her grandfather raised his two fingers, and she began to float in the air. Behind them, the Feng Shui master followed them.

He led through a little garden and they entered a house. He sat her down and took out a bottle from his pocket and poured it into the porcelain cup on the table.

Here, drink it. It is good for you.

Isn't that spirit water?

Yes.

Li Meirong drank the spirit water. Her body felt light and energized. In her stomach, she felt something gathering and in her chest, she felt a force drawing nearer. This might be special.

But this was soon forgotten as a maid brought food to the table.

A second less she ate.

In the midst of her shoving down the food. A knock came on the door.

Sir, may I come in?

Yes.

A man in black clothes walked in.

Chao Xiang pays his respect to the master. He said while taking a glance at Li Meirong before looking away.

I report to you that the auction will take place the day after tomorrow.

Thank you.

I will then take my leave. He bowed and bowed his head towards Li Meirong.

What a weird person she said then she looked at her clothes. Oh, that is why she wore a new length dress with trousers and a belt. For this time period, It was probably inappropriate.

After the meal together she was lifted by the energy and brought to bed by her grandfather.

Tucked in bed he patted her head and said.

Grandfather will protect you, your father is on his way.

Li Meirong nodded.

Then good night tomorrow I will teach you many things. He closed the door and left.

Li Meirong sat up and asked the Ghost in the corner that resembled her.

Where are the memories?

There are none except a child and a man's memory.

Why?

Our soul was parted shortly after birth. One part being you, you drifted off and crossed dimensions and realms. Yet the part remained in our body but was dying slowly due to the incomplete soul. So I fell asleep never to reawaken. Unless we were to merge and be one.

Interesting but how do I go back to my world and life? My head just hit the traffic light someone will eventually send me to the hospital.

I am afraid that isn't possible.

Why?

You were never meant to be there.

Then take my place Mom and Dad will be worried sick, and I don't want anyone to weep at my funeral.

Don't worry no one will.

Really thank you so much. If we meet again to tell how the series You and I end and take care of my family and the few friends I have.

Don't worry. You were just a spirit inhabiting a dead child's body. They have long forgotten you. You don't exist in their world.

So I will never see my parents again and they have forgotten me.

Yes, Bye or rather hello. With a swoosh, LI Meirong's other soul half rushed into her and they merged.

Li Meirong didn't feel any major differences only that she felt a little smarter.

She lay in bed and fell asleep.
