Chapter 81
A series of ear-piercing screeches filled the air when a majestic brown eagle, standing approximately 60 centimeters tall, restlessly paced within an iron cage. Its regal crest resembles the crown of kings, yet its once-varied feathers, ranging from dark brown to light brown, were now stained with a grim amount of blood.
Alex, upon seeing this distressed creature before him, was genuinely taken aback. "Isn't this the endangered Javanese eagle? How did it end up here?" he wondered aloud.
Jamu, observing his master's astonishment, puffed out his chest in pride, thinking he had alerted Alex to the bird's abnormality. "Wang! Wang!" he barked, his tail wagging excitedly. "Hehe, master, see? I'm quite clever, aren't I? Hmm, when you cook it later, don't forget to save me the juiciest part of its thigh!"
Already salivating at the thought of the scrumptious meal to come, Jamu couldn't contain his excitement.
