Chapter 229- Do you want to know about your father?

Leo momentarily stared at his mother and blinked. Neither in surprise nor shock!

He knew his mother had never initiated a discussion about the father and he had never bothered her with any of such discussions.

He had dug through the information with the help of Nia and figured out who his father was some time back!

Zain Alexander Martin Bennetti!

Yes! The name of his father and he is aware of it!

He had listened to the adult's conversation now and then. He always had a gist of what was happening around him. Although his favourite uncle Zack and Zain share the same second name, their personalities were poles apart.

He loved his uncle Zack but he doesn't know or rather right now he didn't want to know about Zain!

He had met him at Grandpa Bennetti's house and he appeared to be a giant block of ice!

He understood whatever situation these guys were in, was not yet resolved.

Although no one had ever told him, he had put the pieces together after that kidnapping incident.

He knew Zain Bennetti had helped save his mother and was still helping her.

So he will observe and only time will tell! Only then he will determine whether Zain is worthy of being called his father or not! It doesn't matter if he donated a sperm, a father cannot be determined solely basis on that contribution only. He was missing from his life till now, so he couldn't expect a warm welcome from Leo's end!

He had plenty of examples around him whom he looked up to as father figure like his Uncle Jason and Uncle Zack!

He loves them both dearly!

But does he need to tell his mother that he already knew? Then she will ask a lot of questions about how and when!!

Leo mulled over the thoughts for a while.

If his mother is asking him this question, does that mean she is ready to talk about it?

"What about him?" Leo responded unbothered by the topic.

Rizi was surprised that he appeared so unbothered whereby she was holding her breath for his response.

"Don't you want to know?" Rizi asked softly.

Leo sighed and pursed his lips. Her mother is too emotional about certain things and she still treats him as if he is a baby. He decided to come clean.

"I already know!"

Rizi's eyes widened in shock as a gasp escaped her lips.

"W-What? When? How?"

"Ahhh!!!"

Just when she raised these questions, a loud creak erupted in the pod and the Ferris wheel stopped all of sudden. Due to the jerk, Leo shrieked and was about to hit the bottom of the pod face forward, but Rizi was quick to catch hold of him.

"Careful!!!" Rizi held him and brought him closer.

"Leo, you okay baby?" Rizi embraces him tightly and checked outside.

What happened suddenly?

The Ferris wheel stopped and they were at the top angle.

She looked downwards but everything appeared so tiny that she was unable to grasp the situation.

"Yes, mama! What is happening?" Leo questioned when once again they felt a jerk.

"I don't know! Something is wrong!" Rizi tightened her hold on Leo and scanned other pods and the downwards.

They were on the top and the pods nearby them were empty. There were a few pods that were filled but not all of them.

Once again, the Ferris wheel jerked and this time riders in other pods started screaming.

Rizi tapped her Bluetooth device but the signal was very weak as they were in an enclosed cabin and at such a height, "Anthony? Abby?"

Some muffled voice replied to her but she wasn't able to hear clearly. She only grasps a few broken words.

"Ok. Don't worry. We are ok." Rizi responded just in case they were able to hear her.

Riz felt something is amiss.

She did not have a good feeling about this.

All this cannot be a coincidence!

On the ground, Abby immediately responded to Rizi's call,

"Yes, Rizi! There is some issue with the Ferris wheel. It is not working. They have called the mechanic and inspection guys. Please hold on for a while!"

She got anxious! She knew Rizi was unable to hear them and they were also not able to hear her clearly.

She and Anthony had immediately rushed towards the operator's cabin.

The operator was sweating bullets when he felt a knife on his neck by a beautiful young woman and a gun on his temple from a strong good looking man.

"What is the problem?"

"I-I don't know!"

"Start it again?" Abby spat in anger and pressed a knife to his neck lightly. The blood dripped out.

The operator's face paled as he felt the light sting. This woman could kill him immediately. How come they brought weapons inside?

Wait, that was not the priority. He need to start the Ferris wheel again as riders were stuck there.

He tried his best but the ride was not starting at all.

As they both were reprimanding the guy soon security-dressed personnel in a gang of seven arrived and started checking the system and control box of the Ferris Wheel.

As they checked, a spark ignited and a blast resonated in the system box of the Ferris wheel which threw a few people away from the box.

Soon the box caught fire.

Abby felt her heart stop for a moment, "Anthony they both are up there! Damn it!"

"God! This? how come fire is spreading that fast!" Anthony immediately rushed towards the wheel as he saw a fire extinguisher nearby.

Abby immediately made a few calls.
