Floor 8 of Assembly of the forbidden

I started walking upstairs wondering what to expect on the other side but I was greeted by a hall adequately lit. There was a monolith in the center of the room. I walked up to it and touched it which made it glow deep red before monsters started spawning right in front of me.

The monsters resembled dwarfs covered in a shield made of some sort of magic. They were holding wands which allowed them to shoot ice shards at me. I jumped out of the way and used mirror of honesty launching myself in air hovering above all enemies and used wind magic but their shield barely took any hit. They started laughing at my pathetic attempt at breaking their shields. I flew on the other side away from the enemies and used fireballs and their shields started to melt a little but they used some sort of magic and created ice on the ground below me. It was weird but I landed avoiding the ice and charged a wind attack and shot it at one of the seven enemies while others shot their ice shards. I moved a little to left to avoid a shard and accidently touched the ice on the ground and it detonated sending me flying into a wall. I checked my HP and had lost roughly 30% of it. If I touched them a couple more times, I'm dead. I healed myself and stood up.

Wind magic would not work but it is my main element right now. My other best is water magic and neither are useful here. I'm forced to use fire magic which... I wonder outside of steam reaction, if I have even used much or not. Me questioning this gave me the answer. I'm bad at fire magic but I'm stuck with it.

I charged a fire ball and shot it at the same enemy again and then flew towards it using mirror of honesty with fire combination and shot another fireball breaking its shield killing it.

So they can't survive without their shields? I just have to keep using fire magic but then another enemy appeared. It resembled medieval knight holding a lancer. It raised its lancer and ice shards started raining from the ceiling. I activated my shield and charged towards other smaller enemies breaking their shields while ignoring the knight who kept launching icicles at me but they were not doing anything to me because of the shield.

I managed to take out other enemies rather easily because I knew fire magic was basically win button against these enemies but then another knight spawned. It was slightly different as this knight was much bigger holding a massive shield. The another spawning holding a book and levitating. And then another holding a sword.

In game mechanics, this new guy is the tank but the other one if a support, sword one is the damage dealer and the hovering one... either supports the attack dealer or healer. I need to take out the healer first even if I take lots of damage.

I rushed straight for the healer using mirror of honesty and charged fire infused wind attack to create a fire tornedo and used nature magic to wrap the healer in branches to make sure the fire keeps burning.

The healer tried healing itself but it could barely keep up with the damage dealt by the fire. I could now focus on the others. I lifted myself in the air using water and ice magic which increased my range and my attack stat. I charged attack and shot wind blades at the main damage dealer but the tank jumped in and took the damage instead. I have to be faster than the tank which means I'm forced into using fire magic on the mirror. I think ice and magic might work the best... ice... and fire...

Monsters in this room use ice element and are weak to fire. I'm forced to use the exact same elements coincidentally. This room is weird... somehow... is it creating an environment where it is forcing me into using a certain element?

I landed and changed the elements on the mirror and flew towards the main damage dealer going past the tank. A single charged attack took 20% of it's HP. The main damage dealer is fragile without the tank and healer. It tried attacking but I was too fast. Mirror increases my speed anyways but fire magic on top increases it even more. I doubt it could ever land a hit if I manage myself but the support knight created similar ice on the ground as those previous monsters. I tried dodging them but the tank pushed me into the ice which detonated and destroyed my shield instantly. This was even worse than the ice created by the previous monsters. I quickly flew to other side of the room and activated healing magic.

The leaker knight had lost most of its HP but then activated an elemental shield. I have to use more fire attacks on them but I'm still not as proficient in it. I activated my shield and flew upwards with fire combination and charged one last attack using all my might. It was an wind ball infused with fire magic. I charged towards the healer who had started healing the main damage dealer and took down almost entirety of its shield's health bar. One last attack and I'll be done but just then, support knight caught me off-guard while I was too busy with the healer and hit me with icicle that pierced through my thigh making me fall on the ground in pain and agony.

The pain was too great and so was the blood lose that I started gasping for air. The healing magic was still active but it was taking too long. Maybe 30 more seconds before I would be completely healed but I had to endure this for much longer since I had to make sure my shield doesn't break.

I stayed in just one position on the ground to avoid anymore pain or blood lose while healing magic was in action. The main damage dealer jumped up in the air and crash landed on my shield which was barely holding itself despite the healing. It jumped again up in the air and landed on the shield, shattering it in the process.

I wasn't done with the healing yet but if they're similar to previous monsters then... I shot a wind blade at the healer breaking its shield which resulted in its death.

One down... three more to go. I used mirror of honesty and few up in the air. The hole in my thigh was healed enough for me to move around a little bit.

Now I need to take out the main damage dealer... I decided to use as much fire magic as I could since this chamber encouraged the use of it.

Come to think of it, I think it's better to keep the fire burning than to use some fire based attacks. I have to somehow facilitate fire. Wind and nature magic should work. Nature magic also provides continuous healing in my current state. I landed and changed the elements before flying up again. I used nature magic to plant special seeds that grow into vines if I use water magic on them. I should be able to convert the entire room into some sort of furnace.

Once I was done scattering the seeds, I used water lotus magic to hydrate all the seeds. The instantly grew into vines covering the entire ground. I flew up in the sky and started using fire magic to set the floor on fire. The flames will chip away the HP slowly but surely. I just have to dodge the attacks. I also used wind magic to make sure ice magic doesn't extinguish the flames too.

Now it was just a battle between who was better magic user. Those monsters or me.

The answer was obvious. In terms of just one element, they far exceeded me but I could use multiple elements at once. We kept throwing fire magic and ice magic respectively at the vines but because I could heal and they couldn't the fight ended up with me winning simply because of that one factor.

I fell from the sky all tired when a chest appeared in front of me. I barely managed to walk up to it and checked inside. There were food items, water bottle and a few unidentifiable objects in it.

I quickly drank water and checked the items. I picked up three star shaped jewels. They glowed in golden shade before disappearing into thin air.

Flames of Scarlet Embers: Increases fire magic attack but 150%

Star of Honesty, Star no.1: Increases attack by 40% when in Mirror of Honesty State.

Star of Tempest, Star no.1: Increases healing effectiveness by 100%. Additional increase of 50% when in Mirror of honesty state.

Weapon: Records of Azure

LVL: 100

Attack: 798

Sub-stat: 67% Attack

Passive: increases attack by 5% ever 10 seconds wind magic is used.

Awakened passive: Every attack has 20% chance to do three times the damage and the percentage increases by 5% for every hit that doesn't activate the passive. The counter will reset when passive is activated.

This weapon... This weapon is insane! This is purely based on attack but these stars I received makes both my wind magic and fire magic that much better. These stars... Would I get these stars every time I clear out a floor? If next floor also encourages use of a specific element then maybe whatever this location is... it is meant to create the strongest people.

Fire, wind, nature, ground, water, Electro and ice. There should be about 7-8 floors, hopefully...

I also levelled up to level 42 but it didn't matter much.

My attack stat was well over 2,000 and having this weapon made things that much easier. I was already stronger than those level 40 nobodies...

I will emerge out of the other side...

A man who will stand above all.
