A winter's constellation

I didn't realize how bad it would get the further up I go. I was currently walking through a raging snowstorm. I had warm clothes on so it wasn't as bad for me, I just had to not lose my way.

I had attended Sapphire's funeral a couple days back and I had been feeling gloomy since. Sapphire and I were never close since we actually only met once when she beat the crap out of me. But she was still a teammate who lost her life because of prejudice. Her death would not go in vain and we will win at the end.

After some time, I noticed a light in distance and decided to walk towards it. It was a wooden log with people living inside. I knocked on the door hoping they would not be hostile towards me. I don't want to hurt anyone and current weather makes swift escape near impossible.

A man opened the door. His features resembled that of those dogs you see on mountains. Big white ones... What were they called again?

"It's... A HUMAN?!" He slammed the door shut and probably barricaded it from all the noises that followed soon after he shut the door on me.

I guess he would be scared considering I'm a human... they hate and on top of that, I show up in such weather condition. His reaction was appropriate for the situation.

I walked to one side of the house that had a cover to protect me from the snowstorm. I sat there and relaxed a bit. The snowstorm should subside in a few hours and I'd be recharged by the time.

As I sit, I think about past and future. I have seen into the future and experienced past too. I know what awaits us and somehow I can't do anything about it. Destiny... fate... what's the point of it? Can we truly cheat fate? Even if I know the future, can I change it? I already know the outcome of this. All my efforts are meaningless because the outcome would never change. Like all loops, this world will be destroyed. What are some summoned outsiders? Mere pawns which will be disposed off with little to no hesitation by those Gods.

Gods have been awfully quiet for last year. I think the last time I saw them it was when I formed NIGHTFALL... Was Leisha even part of the group when that happened? I can't remember. My team... Hah... I deserved being hated considering how I handled the situation. And my classmates too.

I have no one now except Kristine and so, for her, I will fight against the fate. Until I have overtaken thrones of heaven I would not stop.

I have to also find some way to bypass this time loop. This king somehow found out that time loop existed when even Layla didn't know. I wonder how deep his love for this woman went that he even rejected heaven and became a sinner instead.

I heard a roar coming from other side of the house. It was a massive bear that dwarfed even the house and the dog guy was trying fighting it off. Anyone with a pulse can tell he will die but he was trying to save his daughters from the looks of it. They were peeking from behind the door cheering for their dad.

Cute. I leaped into the air and charged a kick towards the bear. The kick was too strong that the impact removed its head from its body. I landed onto ground.

"Are you stupid? That bear would've killed you." I said but instead of apologizing, he attacked me. I sighed and kicked him away. Obviously I had no intentions to fighting him so I wasn't using even a fraction of my power but even then it was enough to fumble him. He is not strong, is he...

"Dumbass, I killed that bear with one kick. What makes you think you can even put a scratch on me?" I asked and he rushed back to his daughter and covered them.

"Please just leave!" He tried sound threatening. I sighed and decided to leave. I have to make it quick anyways. I have given Lizette a deadline too.

I had been walking for a few days now and I reached some sort of temple. It was massive. The statues on either side of the gate was taller than a 6-7 story building. I entered the temple and tried looking for some information about who this temple belonged too when I was attacked.

Three figures I've never met. One with an axe charged an attack but I flew up and landed a little further away.

"Are you guys associated with this temple?" I asked but none answered and charged at me again.

There is something weird about these beings. They don't possess any elemental energy yet they possess every elemental energy. My brain is being overwhelmed by this weird paradoxical situation. I quickly charged through them killing all three and they just dismantled...?

Robots but how? This world is not advance enough to have robots function like this. I kept walking through the temple searching for any sort of new information when I came across a book titled: 'A winter's constellation'

I started reading through it and some of the revelations were too bizarre. I read through the book for maybe a few minutes before I put it in my bag. Some things I learned confirmed time loop and also existence of more than 7 types of elements and how during winter, a diamond will appear named 'Winter's constellation.' which will grant the user a few abilities:

-Any attack will decrease enemy defense by 30%.

-A charged attack will increase attack by 40%.

-Combing any magic with wind magic will decrease elemental resistance by 30%.

-Will increase attack by 50%.

-Will giving 45% healing bonus.

-Will increase HP by 20% which can stack up to 45% when user uses water based magic against enemies.

-Increases shield strength by 30%.

*none of the abilities are stackable.

These are some crazy abilities. It seems they are catered towards me though for some reason. I use shield and healing and whenever I fly, I passively combine wind magic with other elements. I can't be overthinking this, right? Or is it another trap from the Gods...?

As I kept walking through the temple, I came across a massive hall with no bottom. There was a massive polyhedron floating in front of me and it was glowing purple, oozing some corrupted energy more potent than even my corrosion ability. I, for some reason, bowed to the polyhedron when it spoke.

"This is a pre-recorded audio reserved for those who possess corrupted energy. You bow to me? I'm not god but a sinner." It spoke... I think this voice is of that man. "If you found this then humanity and beast-men must've lost to true enemy. As a sinner, I was sealed away. I can't come back yet I can tell you where winter's constellation is. It was given to water sovereign dragon." It said and some sort of corrupted energy surrounded me. "Humans will turn to dust inevitably and world will be destroyed. That is the fate given to us lowly mortals. But there is something I found that never made sense but I was unable to find the truth since they got to me first. There exists records of a second outsider. Someone who came before the great war that turned worlds upside down. There are records saying that the origin died fighting against this outsider and that the throne of heaven is occupied by a impersonator. I can not verify the facts so I leave it to you." It finished. I sighed with my eyes closed since it was too much information, I stood up to look at the polyhedron but there was nothing in front of me.

It... disappeared? I checked my status and I had received a new ability. I can now use my elements simultaneously. This upgrade could be interesting. Even though I can use all elements, I have to always switch between elements since there is a slight variation in how they work. Basically, I have to channel one type through my entire body and then channel another if I want to use different element but this removes that restriction.

Winter's constellation and existence of an impersonator? How much did this king know? Now I don't think its absurd that Layla didn't know about time loop. She is connected to origin and not this new person. If this person did defeat the origin... does it mean before or after its split...? There is a possibility that those four Gods aren't real or they might not be the actual segments of the origin. Lore drop by this man is insane. He is dead yet he has helped me more than the gods themselves.

Now our quest is to find the winter's constellation and get stronger.
