Potion Problems

The following days were uneventful. Fully clothed for the first time since she arrived in this new world, Min could walk around with her held head high, no longer scurrying from cover to cover.

Her tasks, however, were mind-numbingly boring. Acacia sent her to fetch herbs and ingredients, tally her supplies, write her notes, and do all the stuff she could not be bothered with. Min was little more than her intern.

She didn't travel to another dimension to do menial tasks! She was supposed to be a heroine, riding the world of evil! God knows she wasn't getting much respect for being Acacia's errand girl.

If life in a fantasy world was pretty much the same as her old office job, Min had half a mind to tie a rock around her waist and go take a long bath. Maybe in the next world she would finally get the recognition she deserved.

"Hey, are you listening?" Acacia asked. She, Min, and the other mage´s apprentice were in the courtyard of the Wizard´s Tower, in front of two bubbling cauldrons. "This is a very delicate procedure."

"Yeah, yeah. Count to sixty and then put a pinch of Rosemary into the potion. Then count to seventy and put half a spoon of newt's blood. Repeat until sundown, I get it."

"Excellent!" Acacia clasped her fingers and grinned. "I'll go do some shopping at the market. See, Fica? Having an assistant is useful!" Acacia practically pranced out of the courtyard with a big smile on her face, unaware of the tongue that the other apprentice was sticking in her direction.

Min began counting on her head. Every minute or so, she tossed another ingredient into the pot. Again and again. While she didn't miss the toe-curling humiliation, at least streaking had some excitement to it. This was worse than watching paint dry!

She glanced at the other apprentice. A short, mousy woman wearing a loose robe. She had olive skin, a cute round face, curious aquamarine eyes, and short black hair. Maybe this didn't have to be such a boring chore. She had a partner! "Hey ther-"

"I don't believe you." Fica didn't even let Min finish her greeting.

Oh boy, talk about starting with the wrong foot. "Err, believe what?"

"Your curse. I think it's a trick to get close to the wizard, to try to become her apprentice too."

"I don't even-"

"Yeah, I bet you are plotting with Acacia to take my place! That smarmy minx… But I won't fall for your tricks!"

Were all witches such drama queens? "Relax, I'm not trying to…" As Min tried to establish a civil conversation, she absent-mindedly tossed a whole spoonful of newt's blood into the mix, double the recommended dose. The brown broth started to bubble. "Uh-oh!"

Min quickly hit the ground, holding her head between her hands. The cauldron bubbled and whizzed, but nothing else happened.

"What are you doing?" Fica asked.

"I screwed up the formula, so I am kind of expecting the potion to blow up or turn into a slime and eat my clothes or something. That would be the second time something like that happened to me, funnily enough."

Fica rolled her eyes. "Amateur."

"S-so it's safe?"

"Yes."

Min cautiously stood up and peeked inside the potion. The cauldron bubbled, but otherwise, it didn't do much else. Just ever-growing bubbles exploding left and right on the surface of the broth. No slimes, no explosions, no nothing.

"Say, what is this stuff for anyway?"

"It is a growing potion."

"What?!" Min turned to stare at Fica. This information was so mildly shocking to her that she failed to notice the giant bubble that was about to burst right underneath her face, until... "Ewwww!" Min was quick to clean the green goop out of her eyes. "Oh no, this isn't good. Help!"

"Relax, such a small dose is not going to turn you giant or anything."

Min's robe felt tight as her body pushed against it. She now stood a head taller than Fica. Huh, this wasn't so bad. Maybe now she could fulfill her dream of playing basketball. But first, she would have to introduce the sport to this world.

"Heh, is this what tall people feel like? This is great! Hey Fica, there is this sport where I came from that-Ack!" As Min turned left to talk to Fica, her now large knee slapped the cauldron.

The metal pot swayed back and forth precariously after the collision. "W-wait, I can fix this," an overzealous Min grabbed the lid and yanked the pot back, unaware of her newfound strength. She tipped the cauldron to her side, spilling half its contents on herself… "Crap, this can't be good….AAAAAH!"

"Hmm, now that does is enough to turn you into a giant... I think I'll run away now…" Fica smartly decided to flee as Min grew taller with each passing second.

Min could do nothing but stand incredulous as the world became smaller. She soon surpassed the height of even the tallest basketball player, with no sign of stopping. Worse, her robe felt tighter. It was almost as if it was fighting her to try to keep her small. A painful struggle that the garment had no chance of winning.

The robe exploded in tatters. Min was back to being naked under the sun, and she was broadcasting it to anyone with a neck in the surrounding valley. "No, no, no…. NOOOOO! My clothes, my precious clothes! Whyyyyy."

"Because you are a klutz and an idiot!" Fica yelled from the safety of the road next to the Tower.

"H-help!" Min shouted with powerful vocal cords, not really expecting any help to come. The good news is that she stopped growing, a fact that the whole village could see.

Min was standing barely taller than the trees around her, her eyes peering into the fourth story of the wizard's tower. She turned her view to the rest of the town. The people seemed small, but not so much so that Min could not see their features.

A large number of villagers were pointing at her. It's not every day when you can see a pair of nipples the size of a wheel wagon, or a butt that could be confused with hills if you stared at them from the right angle.

Min tried to crouch down, but her gigantic bottom encountered the stone roof around the courtyard. She didn't want to cause any collateral damage, the wizard was liable to throw her out of town if she did. So, Min had no choice but to stay standing upright.

She was too afraid to even try to run for the hills in case she crushed someone underfoot. "H-help?" She meekly asked again, her voice nevertheless reverberating across the town.

Every single curve and flaw on her skin was magnified for the villagers to gawk at like she was under a microscope. A mortified Min tried to hug the tree next to her for the scant cover it could provide.

She quickly let go. It was like hugging one of those hairbrushes with the pointy pins, a bristle brush. The branches were quite prickly, and they brushed against a very sensitive part of her anatomy that Min rather not stimulate for the time being.

"Hahaha!" Acacia ran into the courtyard. "I knew it! The curse is real!"

Min stared down at the apprentice standing between her feet. From that angle, Acacia was sure to get more than a peek of her… intimates. A glance so private that is usually reserved only for medical personnel.

A powerful pang of embarrassment climbed up from Min's stomach to her throat, where it found a way to escape her body. "EEEEEEEP!" she squealed, her voice booming across town and forcing Acacia to cover her ears. The giant woman moved one hand under the rosy lips between her thighs.

"R-relax! You have nothing I haven't seen before!"

"Yeah, but probably not in IMAX", Min mused to herself. "Shrink me down this instant!"

"I c-can´t!"

"What do you mean you can´t? If you can grow someone with magic, then you should be able to shrink them too!"

"I d-don´t know how! I'm not so good with magic yet!"

"What about the wizard?!" Min asked.

"No! You got yourself into this problem, you fix it!" The wizard yelled from the top of the tower, very annoyed at the naked woman ruining his view.

"S-so I'm going to be stuck like this forever?!" Min frowned. Great, if finding clothes was hard before, now it was practically impossible… maybe there was a giant kingdom somewhere in the clouds that could take her in?

"N-no! The effects of the potions are temporary! You should be back to normal in a couple of hours!"

"…How many hours?"

"I don't know. Maybe one, maybe ten! That's the beauty of magic, the chaos!"

Min sighed, with her luck, it would be more than ten hours that she would have to wait in plain view of the whole valley. Some enterprising painters were already putting the majestic crests under her backside on canvas, sketching the boulder-sized breasts standing proud on her chest to commemorate to strange occasion.

Yep, Min was well on her way to becoming a local legend. She bit her lip with enough force to crush a man's head. That's what she gets for wishing for some excitement.
