The original inhabitants of Pohnpei Island are Micronesians, and like many other natives of the numerous islands across the Pacific Ocean, they have dark brown skin, curly hair, and tall statures. Their ancestors migrated to these islands from Southeast Asia and other places four thousand years ago, forming a unique cultural atmosphere.
In a restaurant on the island, Lu Ban was enjoying a local tuna dish.
Tuna, being rich and tasty, could be eaten raw, seared, or boiled into soup. The way it was prepared on the island was quite primitive, usually grilled over a fire and eaten with fragrant leaves. When in doubt, grill meat, and once the meat was grilled, all was good.
However, even after grilling, the fatty tuna still had a much higher fat content than common fish, and Lu Ban stopped after eating two large pieces due to its richness.
