Those bug eggs shattered upon touch, the unprecedented low temperatures turning their jelly-like structures into crisp thin shells akin to potato chips, and stepping on them produced a satisfying crunch.
Lu Ban couldn't help but stomp on a few more.
"...We need to hurry," No-Face urged.
The worms inside the bug eggs had also turned into frozen noodles, now devoid of any vitality.
Lu Ban picked up an iced bug stick and gave it a lick.
The ice pop slightly melted, freeing the worm from its icy prison. At first, it flopped down limply, but soon it began to twitch and squirm, trying to burrow into Lu Ban's skin.
"It's still alive."
He hastily threw it to the ground and stomped on it repeatedly.
"The taste isn't anything special though; it might need some cooking," he concluded.
"..."
Watching Lu Ban's actions, No-Face did not know what to say for a moment.
