Reaching the rooftop of the Hero Association HQ, Tsuna spotted Genos sprawled out on the floor, still recovering from being launched into the sky so abruptly. As Genos struggled to rise, his cyborg eyes narrowing at Tsuna, the latter couldn't suppress a chuckle.
"You're made of metal, Genos. Don't try anything funny…" Tsuna teased.
"…Fucking jerk," Genos muttered under his breath. He was well aware that Tsuna's ability to bend metal made him a natural nemesis. Shaking off the frustration, Genos turned his attention to the city—his eyes widened in disbelief.
"W-what?"
The once-bustling metropolis, filled with towering modern buildings and teeming with life, had vanished. In its place lay a vast expanse of flattened ground, the remnants of structures reduced to crumbled ruins, dark smoke spiraling into the air.
Tsuna, too, gazed at the devastated landscape before shifting his eyes upward. Above them, a massive, ominous flying object loomed in the sky, casting a long shadow over the horizon.
"Saitama must've already made his way up there," Tsuna remarked as he looked up at the sky.
"That's most likely the case," Genos agreed, scanning the rooftop and finding no sign of Saitama.
Genos's eyes flickered with light as he activated his sensors, sweeping over the devastated city below.
"There are some surviving citizens on the ground..." His voice was steady, but then he paused, his expression tightening.
"And..."
His eyes narrowed, locking onto a tall figure amid the rubble—a large alien with pale gray skin and blood-red eyes. Tsuna noticed the alien as well, its towering figure standing out among the wreckage.
"Yeah," Tsuna murmured, his gaze sharp. "But someone's already on their way to deal with it."
As the alien raised its hand to strike a surviving citizen, a sword wave sliced clean through its body, halting the attack. Genos zoomed in on the scene, recognizing the rescuer. "That's Atomic Samurai's disciple..."
Tsuna raised his eyebrows at this, "Old men like them really do have a thing for grooming disciples, huh?"
"Useless. He's only going to get himself killed..."
A calm voice interrupted their focus, prompting both Tsuna and Genos to turn. Standing behind them was none other than Sweet Mask, the hero they had encountered in the lobby earlier. His expression was sharp with disdain as he watched the battle below. "That disciple is a disgrace to the hero name."
Their attention snapped back to the fight.
The alien, despite being sliced cleanly in half, quickly regenerated, its body reassembling as it launched a vicious counterattack, severing the disciple's arm with terrifying precision.
"He's in trouble... might not survive if he fights that thing alone," Tsuna mumbled, his mind turning over the situation. This battle wasn't something he recalled from his distant memories.
Sweet Mask turned to Tsuna, his tone cold as he began lecturing. "Watch this fight closely, Ito-kun. As a hero who people look up to, you can't afford to be complacent or lower your guard. You need to—"
Before Sweet Mask could finish, the floor beneath him suddenly cracked with a sharp, ominous sound.
He paused, confusion flickering in his eyes as he glanced down, "Huh?"
BOOM!
With a deafening crash, the floor broke apart, sending a burst of green energy surging upwards. The chunk of metal beneath Sweet Mask was blasted away, sending him tumbling into the air as he barely managed to keep his composure.
"Y-You little witch!"
Sweet Mask's voice faded as he was thrown into the distance.
Meanwhile, Tatsumaki floated with her psychic energy swirling around her. Her green aura pulsed dangerously as her ears twitched slightly, and she mumbled to herself, "What was that sound? Sounded like a mosquito..."
"..."
Tsuna and Genos looked at each other as they both had their lips curled up. Tsuna turned to Tatsumaki as he spoke, "You're right. It was a mosquito, and thanks to your power, you sent it flying."
Tatsumaki's lips curled into a smug smile, arms crossed over her chest. "Hmph! That thing should be grateful I didn't see it. I'd crush it to oblivion without a second thought."
Genos just looked at Tatsumaki in silence and chose to ignore her.
Tsuna shook his head slightly in amusement. But then, his attention shifted as he sensed another presence approaching.
Emerging from the debris was a tanned, hulking figure with comically exaggerated lips, crawling out of the wreckage alongside King. With a broad grin, the massive man struck a pose, flexing his muscles as if nothing unusual was happening, "What's that thing in the sky?"
"...?"
Tsuna blinked in confusion, as the man continued posing.
"Oh, please don't stare at my muscles too much, Tsunayoshi Ito."
The bodybuilder laughed heartily before he struck another dramatic pose, flexing his arms with pride, "Pleasure to meet you. The name's Superalloy Darkshine!"
"...Right," Tsuna was totally unimpressed as he suddenly raised his hand.
In an instant, the floor beneath Superalloy Darkshine wrapped around him like metal chains. The man blinked in confusion, his muscular body now trapped. "Huh? What are you doing, Ito-kun?"
"Go help deal with that thing."
Tsuna didn't flinch. His tone was flat, leaving no room for argument.
With a flick of his wrist, Tsuna sent Superalloy soaring through the air, propelled by the metal now cooling and tightening around his body. Superalloy's eyes widened in shock, his pupils dilating as he yelled out in panic. "N-No, wait! W-Wait!"
Swoosh!
But it was too late. His frantic pleas faded into the distance as his body was launched toward the alien on the ground.
"..."
King stared at the scene, his legs almost giving out as he turned to Tsuna and asked, "W-Why did you do that?"
"What savage behavior! You must be out of your mind to pull something like that on a fellow hero!" Tatsumaki floated closer, roaring in his ears as she scolded him, even though she wasn't much different herself. Tsuna rolled his eyes at the green-haired loli as she continued, "What is your problem? You think you can take on that thing in the sky alone? I can, but you? You're not strong enough!"
"Alright, alright..." Tsuna sighed, raising his hand once more. His movement scared the hell out of King despite his poker face. A chunk of metal flew up from the rooftop, hovering in front of him. He looked up at the flying ship and said, "I'm gonna head up and get in..."
"Huh!? You've got to be joking! With your weak powers?"
Tsuna twitched his lips at Tatsumaki's outburst, then turned to look at the green-haired esper and said, "Exactly. You're stronger than me. So if they fire off something like what just wiped out the entire city, you're the only one who can stop it."
"Huh? I-I'm stronger?"
Tatsumaki froze for a moment, blinking in confusion at the unexpected compliment. Her cheeks reddened slightly, and she quickly looked away, stammering, "W-Well, of course, I'm stronger! Hmph! Fine, I'll handle things here. You should be grateful!"
"...Sure." Tsuna barely acknowledged her as he nodded at Genos. With a swift motion, his body shot upward toward the ship hovering ominously in the sky.
As he ascended, Tsuna's eyes sharpened, recalling a particular alien with the ability to manipulate gravity. He smirked slightly, muttering to himself, "This fight's going to be interesting. Let's just hope Saitama hasn't found that alien yet..."
