=The Community Centre=
Chris had dropped everything and rushed to the community centre after receiving Simon's text message despite it being almost midnight.
He found Simon pacing back and forth nervously by the front door. There was dried blood that had dripped down the side of his face.
Chris casually waved as he approached. "Hey! What's the emergency?" He asked.
Simon roughly rubbed the side of his head. "I-I didn't want to... I didn't know who else to call..." he said.
Chris held his shoulder to stop his pacing. "Ok... Simon... first calm down. Whatever it is we'll figure it out," he said.
Simon looked around as if worried someone might be watching. "So... don't freak out," he said leading Chris into the community centre.
The hallway was a mess with smashed fluorescent bulbs all over the floor crunching under their shoes.
"I know you said we couldn't trust Sally..." he said hesitantly.
Chris deadpanned at him. "...but you couldn't help yourself..." he said.
Simon chuckled nervously. "Haha.... right... about that..." he said.
He didn't seem to be able to look Chris in the eyes. "Well... we were sort of having a date when she went through my things and found proof we killed Tony. She was engaged to Tony. I tried to convince her but she attacked me," he said pointing at the dry blood on his head.
Simon lead him back to the small storage room where they had temporarily stored Tony and Gary's corpses before reburying them under the foundations of the monitoring station under the flyover.
He made sure to close the door behind them before opening the lid of the chest freezer. Inside was Sally's corpse. Their second probation worker... their second dead probation worker. The body wasn't frozen yet so it must have only just been dumped in the freezer.
This time he was sure he saw a reddish glow on the body, by when he approached he experienced another sensation of exhilaration coursing through his body it was as if he experienced an entire spa day and the best sex all at the same time in the span of seconds.
Chris almost lost his footing due to the sensation and caught himself on the edge of the freezer. 'Ok. What the actual fuck is going on with me?! Something is definitely up. Is this related to my own ability?' he wondered.
By the time he recovered the glow on Sally's corpse was already gone.
Simon was staring on uncomfortable look that seemed to be a mixture of pain and confusion. "T-there's nothing I c-could do. She was going to turn you all in... turn us all in. I-I tried to reason with her... to explain... I thought she would understand. She just wouldn't listen," he said.
He stared at the freezer. "I didn't mean to. Her head... her head hit the glass... she wasn't moving anymore..." he said in a daze.
Chris sighed and closed the lid of the freezer to hide the gruesome sight. "It's ok. You did what you had to to protect us all. Now we just need to clean up the mess," he said.
He turned to Simon. "Did you clean up the scene of the crime?" He asked.
Simon nodded quickly. "Y... yeah I used bleach and everything..." he said.
Chris nodded. "Good. Then we just need to figure out what to do with the body. Does anyone else know the two of you were here tonight?" He asked.
Simon shook his head. "No... I don't think so at least," he said.
"Whatever... it doesn't matter. Nothing we can do about it. Go get a tarp," Chris said.
It didn't take Simon long to return.
Chris lifted Sally's body and had Simon put the tarp underneath it. He rapidly froze around the outside of the corpse drawing the moisture out and freezing it not unlike how something left unwrapped in the freezer would dry out, just much faster. He had come a long way with the control of his ice powers. Then froze what was left and smashed it with his super strength. Once the moisture was removed and it was smashed to pieces it became easy to fold the tarp and wrap it up like a little pouch tied off with a rope and weighed only a fraction of the original weight.
Looking at his handiwork he shook his head and sighed. 'I shouldn't be getting used to dealing with corpses,' he thought.
"Alright. I'll go dump whats left of the body. You go clean up the glass in the hallway," Chris said.
After Simon left Chris tied some heavy items to the bag full of flesh. Out front of the community centre he tossed it into the middle of the lake using his super strength where it landed with a splash and quickly sank below the surface of the water.
He nodded in satisfaction. 'With it broken into such small pieces it should deteriorate in no time... that is if the fish don't get to it before that,' he thought.
=Community Centre, Hallway=
Chris and Simon were sitting on the chairs in the hallway each with a can from the vending machine in hand. They had just finished cleaning up what was left of the mess.
Simon seemed a little out of it. "She was just using me," he said.
Chris sighed and leaned back. "Don't worry. It happens to the best of us," he said.
He turned to Simon with a smirk. "Did you at least get a little action out of it?" He asked with a raised brow.
"N-No..." Simon stammered.
"Ah... that's a shame. Well don't worry about it too much. If you loosen up a little you'll have plenty of girls to choose from..." Chris said.
He looked at Simon again. "...well maybe a small make over first, but then I promise you it won't be such a problem. I can help you... or better yet we can ask Alisha. She's into fashion and all that stuff. Probably knows a lot more than me," he said.
Simon looked down nervously. "T-thanks..." he mumbled.
It was quiet for a few moments with both of them just sipping their drinks.
"W-what do we tell the others though?" Simon asked.
Chris shrugged. "Nothing for now..." he said.
