Labyrinth's End and Beginning
The sensation of passing through the portal was indescribable; a melding of weightlessness and a feeling of being stretched in every direction. And then, as suddenly as it started, it ended. Their feet found solid ground, but the world they emerged into was drastically different from the one they'd left behind.
The perilous mountainous terrain had disappeared. Instead, the trio found themselves standing in a meadow that seemed straight out of a dream. Lush green grass swayed gently, kissed by a breeze that felt lighter, purer. An ethereal golden glow bathed everything, turning the meadow into a painter's masterpiece of gold and green. Delicate flowers, colors vibrant and true, dotted the field, and in the distance, a stream gleamed under the golden sky.
Johan blinked, taking in the sheer beauty of it. 'Guess not everything in this twisted dungeon wants to kill us,' he mused, a rare moment of appreciation evident in his thoughts.
