Chapter 196: Something...

As the Domains released by Saber and his Origin clashed in the void of space, both figures clashed back on the battle platform. Though his power caught him by surprise at the beginning, Saber gradually gained the upper hand.

BANG!!!

'Ha, it connected!!!' Saber thought in euphoria as he finally sent a powerful punch capable of destroying multiple tens of worlds as it landed flush on Origin Saber's face! For once in the battle Saber was able to bypass Origin Saber's defense, and land his attack.

Due to the momentum it carried, Origin Saber couldn't stop his body from flashing across the battle platform like a shooting star. Yet, even after this, Saber didn't stop there as he viewed this as his opportunity!

Appearing next to Saber whose body was sent flashing across the battle platform, Saber sent a kick toward Origin Saber's spine!

BAM!!! CRACK!!

Urgh!

His body bent unnaturally around Saber's leg as he was sent flying once more, this time in the completely opposite direction. Saber smirked when seeing the sorry sight of his origin as he once more appeared before Origin Saber, sending an uppercut toward Origin Saber's jaw, sending him flying upwards this time.

The pattern of Saber appearing next to his origin and then sending attacks continued for some time before a thought entered Saber's mind. 'Hmm, it seems this is his limit. A pity that someone whose existence is soo perfect is stopped by limits. This is the limit of his power, so I shall end this battle now!!'

Thinking this, a blade made from dark flames formed as Saber grabbed the hilt. Dashing toward the descending body of his Origin, Saber's eyes lit ablaze as he concentrated all his current energy at the tip of the blade. This time, he was going to execute his Origin once and for all!!!

Slash!!

The blade, condensed from Saber's purest energy, chopped at the neck, cleanly slicing it off as Saber couldn't help the smirk which surfaced on his face. But, as Saber was about to slash his Origin's detached head into infinite pieces, successfully killing him, it suddenly disappeared!!

WAA!!

THUD!

Looking back to the surface, on the battle platform, Origin Saber's body fell with a thud. But, what took Saber's attention wasn't a headless body, but it was the actual head of Origin Saber which seemingly teleported over the body. Before Saber could do anything, a dark aura shot out of Origin Saber's neck and latched onto Origin Saber's head.

'Huh?' Saber was left in confusion as he saw the shocking sight of his Origin reattaching his own head to his body!

"Hehehe... Don't tell me you actually thought it was soo easy to kill me?" While standing up to his feet, Saber said. "The only reason I allowed you to even evolve this much, is to groom you into becoming a tasty dish. Who would willingly eat something that doesn't give them any benefit whatsoever?"

As Origin Saber said those words, in the sclera of his eyes, which were completely void of light except for the few shining dots... Suddenly, Saber's expression froze as the few shining dots in his Origin's sclera multiplied!

Multiply! Multiply! Multiply!

Hundreds, thousands, millions!!

The power those eyes radiated rose immensely as Origin Saber said. "From your memories, it seems that the best transformation you've got is True Star Transformation which can only increase one's strength by a measly one thousand times. The Star Transformation Ascended I had increased my power by ten thousand, the only reason you were able to compare is the fact that you had the elements like Invincibility, Destiny, True Flames, and Space."

THRUM!!!

Revealing the fact that he could read Saber's mind, Origin Saber continued. "Now though, it is a different story. Now that I've entered Perfected Star Transformation State, and my strength has increased by one hundred thousand times, I can do something like..." As he said that, his figure disappeared from Saber's view. A Saber who floated in the air in utter shock suddenly felt a terrifying dread approaching him from behind but, as he looked back...

*Puchi!!*

Before he could even look back, his flesh was penetrated. Looking down, his chest was penetrated by a hand that appeared on the front of his chest from the back. In the grasp of this hand, Saber's glittering heart was like a trophy!

"This... I can do something like this with a multiplier of one hundred thousand. Now, tell me, did you truly think you had a chance of winning against me... your Original existence? I, the one who birthed you... How Dare You Challenge Me!!!!"

THRUM!!!

Thereafter, Origin Saber yanked his hand out of Saber's chest, with the glittering heart still in hand.

Thud!

Saber's body limply fell to the ground, while Origin Saber's focus was on the heart that glittered in gold, red, blue, and incredibly dark light. The elements Saber devoured caused this as Saber went on to place the heart in his mouth.

*Gulp!*

In one go, Origin Saber devoured his meal yet, his expression froze. His eyes contained a mysterious expression as he shot his gaze to the ground, where, a brilliant light shot out Saber's body!

'Huh?'

"Master?" The light materialized, forming into a body. It was the body of the one known as Leviathan as he knelt toward Origin Saber while tears fell from his eyes. Seeing this, Origin Saber then said coldly.

Tsk!

"You didn't bother helping me in this battle, but now that the winner has been decided, you now make your appearance. After the battle with Sword God, after I died and then finally resolved to be cautious, don't think that I don't know how you've been helping my clone. Yet, even this doesn't anger me as much as the fact that you took his side instead of mine..!"

While saying this, an angered expression surfaced on Saber's face. And hearing this, Leviathan immediately defended himself.

"I didn't have a choice. From the memories of your copy, I know you cared deeply about me, and after I died from that demon's hands, you were in despair."

"If, after I appeared before the fight between your copy and yourself, if he was to kill me, I would not be able to resist, and if I were to die in front of you again, I'm sure you wouldn't be able to focus on this fight."

Hearing this, a burst of stifled laughter escaped Saber's lips.

"It seems you think rather highly of yourself." He said. "Anyway, get over here!" As he said those words, Leviathan's figure transformed into a beam of light that burst into Saber's chest, he thought.

'Now, where should I go.' While thinking this, Saber's red skin turned milky white as the demonic markings, wings, claw-like nails, horns, bone crown, and elf-like ears all disappeared. Now, he looked like a simple human who was attractive beyond measure.

While leisurely approaching his copy's body, so as to devour it, Saber thought. 'Should I go back to Hell's Tower? If I do, there isn't a way to escape until I've surpassed the True Immortal realm and entered whatever there is beyond. Then, there is the Cosmos, and more importantly, that interesting brat who could bend Reality!'

But, while he was about to pick up the corpse on the surface of the battle platform...

WAA!!

An extremely bright flash of white light that made Saber's mind go blank suddenly occurred. The world which surrounded the platform changed. As one half remained the same, the other half suddenly became a weird dim white!

On the ground, the body of the mere copy suddenly dissipated into white particles.

In the moments it took Saber and Leviathan to make up, something much more shocking had taken place...

Something that had to do with this mere copy's consciousness...

Something that would forever not be anything like Saber...

Something was now descending into this world...
