A Mental Promise, The First Time Tasting Food

The collision from both illusionary palms was so horrific and devastating that the space inside the fourth floor was twisted and ripped apart. The very space struggled to reform itself even after the pair of illusionary palms had disappeared.

Witnessing this devastating power was two figures who seemed to be a replica of each other, while another illusionary figure with long golden hair lazily drifted through space with a slightly annoyed expression on his face.

"Master, don't have that look on your face. We must practice in the case some unexpected circumstances may arise in the tournament...!" Second Saber said while smiling happily after seeing the devastating powers of his technique...

"I don't care what you have to do. You are simply making too much noise and it's making it impossible for me to sleep!" Goldy shouted toward Saber causing the latter to be surprised by the fact that his master was acting like a...

"Why are you acting like a spoiled kid...? Hell, why do you even need to sleep? Even I don't need such a thing, and you claim to supposedly be an infinite times stronger than me..."

Second Saber replied to Goldy's shout as he couldn't comprehend his master's reason for acting like a little bitch.

Tsk!

The golden-haired figure merely shrugged his shoulders before closing his eyes and seemingly going to sleep. His body drifted through the space once more in a random direction while the pair of Sabers decided to ignore his antics...

"How long has it been?"

Now floating in the newly repaired space, Second Saber then questioned his counterpart about the time left till the beginning of the tournament...

"In the outside world, there is an hour and thirty minutes left before registration ends. I suggest that one of us go register right now." Saber replied immediately.

"Hmm, okay. I guess I'll go...and before you even try to disagree, remember that we are still unaware of the true depths of the powers of these humans.

It is better that I go since my strength has reached many, many levels higher than all of you combined.

With the palm technique added to my current strength, I may be able to hold off an attack from a Level 6 Immortal for long enough for you to teleport me out of there..."

THRUM!

Second Saber stated. His shocking words seemingly did not surprise the Saber next to him since there weren't any visible changes in either of the pair's expressions.

"Well, I guess there isn't a point in trying to change your mind. I wish you luck, and remember, I would always be ready in case you're in trouble."

Second Saber's counterpart replied with determination in his tone.

A smirk formed on Second Saber's face when hearing this as he had begun enjoying the company of each of the Sabers.

'Maybe, after regaining my freedom, maybe I'll also help them gain freedom...?'

Saber allowed for his thoughts to run wild as he mentally promised to save his other selves while he willed to exit the Black Ring.

His next destination now...the massive modern-day football-like structures located in the epicenter of this planet...!

.

.

.

"Wow...!"

Saber uttered under his breath when seeing how long the line he currently stayed in was.

Saber adorned a long sleeve turtleneck black top and long black pants. Over it was a long black overcoat that reached to his calf, while on his hand was a pair of black gloves reaching his forearms...

The most noticeable thing though was the mask that covered his whole face.

The only thing visible from the view of another would be his dark purple irises that were split in half by a golden vertical pupil.

It was a captivating pair of eyes that caused him to gain the attention of a few females.

'Hmm, I'm surprised there aren't any jealous males looking to cause me trouble because of my natural charm...?!' Saber thought in his mind with a smirk on his face though covered by his mask.

'But it may be because of the situation they found themselves in.

The women who are normally the center of their minds aren't the ones who would save their lives when the war between the humans and demons takes place...

So, now that their lives are on the line, these humans have become somewhat bearable to be around...'

Saber thought while the smirk on his face grew wider.

The long line that he found himself in began to slowly shorten. If not for the fact that for the past decade, one was able to register, then the lines would have been way, way longer.

An hour passed before Saber found himself standing in front of a humanoid figure.

Instantly, a frown appeared on Saber's face when assessing the figure standing emotionlessly in front of him.

The aura-less figure reminded Saber of a certain android child... 'Androids...these humans have such high-level androids in a random Solar System!' Saber thought in slight surprise.

"The cost to register is 10 Stellar Coins. You are advised to use your real name, and when you enter the arena, you are to take off the mask on your face.

If you are caught not following the rules, you are to be labeled as a Demon and will be executed immediately...!"

THRUM!

Even though Saber was slightly surprised, he didn't care too much about the threats of the android.

The reason he bothered to even put on a mask was to not bring himself any unnecessary attention and jealousy, but seeing as a mask wasn't allowed, Saber wouldn't bother to make a scene out of it...

A few moments later, Saber gave his true name, 'Saber Blade' as he then poured his energy into the Black Ring to get the coins he needed...

And about the coins...

"Here...!"

Saber stretched his hand out as exactly ten golden coins that radiated mysterious energy floated toward the android.

A smile reappeared on Saber's face when he thought of the fact that he would have been unable to even enter the tournament if not for the preparations by the other Saber...

'It truly is useful...underlings...' Saber thought while he received the item that seemed oddly familiar to an identification card from a modern-day world...

On it was his name and the number "3320842" written in bold letters.

Placing it on his chest, Saber then approached a platform stationed behind the android as he lightly hopped onto it.

Thereafter, a bright light flashed in Saber's surroundings.

He was left slightly surprised by the fact that he was unable to even register what happened and before he knew it, he was in a normal-looking room.

On his right was a table and a chair with what seemed to be a meal. A bowl filled with noodles and meat to be more precise as steam could be seen coming from the bowl.

On his left was a massive holographic screen showcasing what he assumed to be the battle arena.

In front of him was a large bed, and behind him was what he assumed to be a... toilet. The walls, ceiling, and flooring were pristine white.

Pulling the chair, Saber sat down and took off his mask. Even though he didn't need it, he was certainly not one to refuse a bowl of noodles and meat...

On the card resting on his chest, a picture of Saber's face appeared while Saber then took in a mouthful of noodles.

"Hmm, such a splendid taste...!"

For the first time in his existence, Second Saber had a meal...
