Chapter 5, Moon Continent

A year passed quietly, he held a wooden sword as he sliced a boulder in half.

With his cultivation it wouldn't be that impressive. But using his mask he reduced himself to a ordinary mortal. This way he could train more effectively.

He walked up to the boulder and lightly flicked it, it collapsed into cleanly cut shards.

'I need to train harder...' He looked to the other side of the courtyard where a old man stood quietly.

"Master do you think I can resume my cultivation yet?"

His eyes twitched slightly, 'How did he improve so fast...'

"Yes yes. Please resume your cultivation..."

"Yes master." He bowed deeply.

Not only had he been training for this year, he also had been taught by his master about this world.

Apparently they were on Ezren Continent, it was said in ancient times that a White Tiger died and his massive body became the Continent they stand on. This led to the reactions of Baihu.

There are many other continents numbering in the hundreds. Ezren is ranked 2nd among these hundreds of continents. The only reason was Celestial Sect it self, it being the strongest Sect on this world both hidden and not.

If the hidden experts in the Celestial Sect were included..they would indefinetley be the strongest Continent.

From what he knew, his master the former Sect master. Is at a Realm far beyond Nascent soul, having a SS rank wind talent. While the current Sect Master has a S rank Earth talent.

The current Sect master is Qin Chen, because of his disciple being stolen he decided to take Chu Cheng as his disciple.

Chu Cheng had a rare talent, so it wasn't that bad. If it werent for him the Sect might've declined as the Sect masters got weaker.

'Stop a continental war...hm as far as I know both of those continents are in the top 50. The Azure Continent is a few places ahead...maybe I should use my master.' He smiled slightly, a continental war was a huge issue. Usually once one starts, others will join for profits. Then more and more, if his master joined in the name of peace...

He sat in his room and started to cultivate seriously, he needed to be strong to complete this quest.

3 months passed, currently he has 2 weeks left.

After his cultivation he'd broken through to the Perfection of Golden Core.

Golden Core Realm has 4 stages, False, True, Peak, Perfection.

When you break through to golden core you form a core that is connected to your spiritual mound. This helps you use your Qi more freely as well this core can utilize Qi around you.

Every stage you gain 25% more accessiblity to your spiritual mound.

He stretched before walking out of his room to find his master.

"Master I have a question."

"Ask away."

"What is the highest cultivation of the Moon and Azure Continent?"

"Huh...well for the. the strongest would be at the Soul Accumalation Realm."

"Is that the one after Nascent soul?"

"No no, after Nascent Soul is Domain Lord Realm. Then Divine Soul Realm. Why do you ask?"

"I wish to go to the Moon Continent."

"And of the Azure Continent?"

"Just a thought, so may I go master?"

"Yeah yeah, take your token and use the Sect teleportation array."

Flying from the pavilion he finally could have a close look at the Sect. He saw disciples taking strolls, talking to friends, playing games, buying things, it was a very energetic Sect. To say the least a disciple had to have a C rank talent to even get to the real Sect exams.

This meant every disciple would become a powerful Nascent Soul cultivator or even a Domain Lord.

This is the reason the Celestial Sect has stayed at the peak of the world for so many eons.

Just the Sect master and the Grand Elder wouldn't help keep their position. There were many sealed experts over the years. Some extremely talented geniuses werent even sealed, they cultivated behind the scenes quietly.

The strongest Sect Master in the history of the Sect was said to have three SSS talents and one SSSS talent. He triumphed over the world and was said to ascend into another world and still watches over the Sect.

Alastor couldnt help but think of the Talent Upgrade Stone he got from the system. He didnt want to upgrade anything because he was afraid he would become inbalanced, he decided to use it on the lunar talent once he got it.

Looking ahead of him he saw a large circle covered in strange markings. Multiple people in red robes stood around it.

Once they saw him approaching they quickly bowed before him. Currently Baihu was flying closely behind him. Alastor pet him lightly before checking if he had everything.

His sword laid quietly on his waist, he wore a golden robe with white designs and a white faceless mask which his brown hair slightly hung over.

His brown hair grew down to his shoulders and was tied in a circle on his sides. His white cross earring swung while he moved.

"I'm ready." The ground glowed as he was sucked into a purple portal.

He appeared in a small courtyard, around him were people wearing a vibrant color of robes.

"Someone from the Celestial Sect came?" A young lady exclaimed loudly.

The others looked at him closely and even started kowtowing.

"Stand. Where am I?"

"We are just a small Sect, we were only formed to take care of and protect the Sects teleportation array." A young man answered him enthusiastically.

"Sir do you think you can take me to the Celestial Sect?" A young lady asked with eager eyes.

"I need a room for two weeks." He ignored them and looked at the old man in the group.

"I will find you a room young master." He bowed lightly before leading him to the depths of the manor behind the courtyard.

"I hope this may fit your needs." He opened a luxurious door and left.

"Lets break through then..."

The Nascent Soul is a combination of a lot of things. To break through one must find their inner self and in that would be the soul. Then you must undergo a cloud tribulation to break through.

He searched his mind for a few seconds before immediately finding his soul.

'Must be my soul talent.'

He brought his soul from his body and looked at this floating blob of gold. A red dragon circled it quietly, he started to sense the heavens above before directing them on his soul.

A red cloud came down and pressed on his soul. He couldnt help but scream, the pain of his soul was on another level. It felt like he was putting a hot pan on his brain before stabbing it with cold needles and redoing the process.

The others in the manor were startled.

"Tch, he takes my room then disturbs my meditation. So what if your from the Celestial Sect you arent some bigshot." A young man cursed him before resuming his cultivation.

The dragon that wrapped his soul eased his pain. Even then he gritted his teeth and focused on fusing this red cloud with his soul. His mouth bled as he bit his tongue on accident, however the pain from his soul was so much he couldnt even feel it.

A few minutes passed as the red cloud slowly fused with his soul.

The pain slowly disappeared as it fused with his soul. Then he felt no pain, like it wasn't there. Instead his head felt soft and fuzzy, everything was in his control. Like a warm bath for his brain.

He opened his eyes that he shut so tightly, blood dripped from his mouth onto his golden robe.

He sighed before the blood evaportated under flames. He then focused back on his soul, he wasn't yet at Nascent Soul. He could only be considered a half step Nascent soul.

He had to make a connection between his soul and spiritual mound before making another connection to his core.

Not only would this make his soul more powerful. He will also be able to use Soul sense, using the connection you can spread Qi which has a connection to your soul. This helps prevent assasinations but if your Soul sense it damaged it will cause a minor backlash which makes it hard to use Qi.

He slowly formed a connection between his soul and spiritual mound. Because of his soul talent this was quite easy. Besides your spiritual mound is closely related to your soul.

After a few minutes of making sure the connection was stable, he started to form a connection to his core.

Slowly a stable connection formed between them. The Qi in his body riled up and started to compact. Slowly his muscles got stro ger and stronger. He was confused but helped direct the Qi in his body.

'Is this what it meant by you'll feel the difference..' He thought his senses would improve but he underestimated it. His Qi was 5 times as strong and his body was 3 times as strong as before. He was still getting stronger as well.

He dispelled any unecessary thoughts and focused on his rising strength.

A few hours passed as his strength slowly rose.

'This is what Nascent Soul feels like huh...I guess ill be able to test me strength in the continental war.'
