Chapter 2, I'm a Genius

The day passed quietly as he silently cultivated. The first Realm of Qi gathering was simple.

Gather Qi from the surroundings into your spiritual mound. Once its full you have to push on the walls of your spiritual mound with your Qi to make it larger. This had ten stages, the spiritual mound was a elusive place that did and didnt exist. Residing in your soul and spirit while its gates laid in your mind.

Because of this your spiritual mound wasn't limited to the size of your body. It could be 10 cenimeters, 10 meters, 10 kilometers, infinitely expanding but it can also collapse without support. Which leads to the second Realm of foundation.

After his hard Cultivation he'd managed to break through to the 6th stage of Qi Gathering, making his spiritual mound 26.8 sq. inches.

Everytime you broke through your spiritual mound would double. A normal persons spiritual mound was 1 sq. Inch when they started cultivating. Alastors was 10 sq. inches when he started.

Stretching he decided to leave the forest and find a city. Because of his inactive system he'd have to find a sect to help him with his cultivation.

Waking Baihu up he jumped on his back and started his adventure of lus- cultivation.

After a hour of traveling he found a dirt path exciting him. Following this dirt path he fell asleep as the hours passed.

Waking up he found Baihu laying on his legs dead asleep. He was up against a tree with the dirt path only a few meters away.

'Couldn't he find a better place...' He grumbled as he thought but made no attempt to push him off.

He decided to try to cultivate in this weird position till he woke up.

Shifting around for a bit, Baihu woke up with a long yawn. Standing up he shook off the leaves before grabbing Alastor with his mouth and putting him on his back.

Seeming to come to terms with this strange beast he paid no mind to him.

A few hours passed before large stone walls could be seen in the distance, the city looked quite spectacular with the sun right above it.

'All I see are stone walls.' He frowned as he shifted around to lay on his back.

Sunbathing he finally arrived at the gates of the city.

He sat back up and looked at the gates as he neared them. There were few people in front of it talking to the city guard.

However they all were staring at the tiger beneath him.

"Is he a Noble?" They conversed silently before turning back to the city guards to enter the city.

Slowly he made his way in front of the city guard. The city guard himself was at the peak of foundation.

'Seems like a strong city.' He couldnt help but sigh at this bad luck.

"Sir Noble please go ahead there is no need for an entrance fee." The man smiled and let him through the gates.

'Noble huh...'

The citizens avoided him when he passed, sometimes even bowing.

He decided to ignore them after a while of pushing away gifts and commoners who offered their daughters...even sons.

After a while of searching he found no adventurers guild or anything like that much to his disappointment.

Hiding Baihu in a alley he found a random man along the road.

"Hello sir, do you know where I can find a sect?"

"Sect? Are you here for the Celestial Sects tryouts? A elder should arrive tommorow to bring people for the Outer sect competition."

'Celestial Sect? Sounds strong.."

He decided to cultivate until tommorow came and be on his way to the sect.

The night passed silently as he rapidly improved reaching the peak of Qi Gathering. Sadly he couldnt take the step into Foundation Establishment because his lack of Cultivation Technique.

Standing up he woke Baihu from his beauty sleep and rode around town waiting for the elder of the Celestial Sect.

Soon he saw a group of youths they looked energetic as they joked and laughed.

He decided to follow them as they were most likely going to the Celestial Sect examination.

Though his stealth wasn't very useful as he got glances at him occasionally. Soon they arrived in front of the city gates, a man in a pure white robe sat lazily looking at the youths in front of him.

"Eh is this everyo-" his voice stopped as he looked at the Alastor, or rather at Baihu.

"Eh? That tiger is quite talented, I don't think you can handle him. Maybe I should take him from your hands." The man smiled like he was doing something kind.

Baihu growled at him backing away slowly.

"Haha im just joking little fella." He laughed before looking away and snapping his fingers.

"I sha'll take you to the sect now." They all started to float before flying away. Some were upside down, others on their sides, very few could keep stable as they flew extremely fast.

30 minutes passed and most of them had thrown up or fainted.

"Ha their getting weaker and weaker." The elderly man sighed as he landed and dropped them from a few feet high, waking up the ones who fainted.

"The test will start soon, please prepare."

With that he left the stunned youths.

"You just arrived right? My names Lin Feng, my father is a Nascent Soul cultivator." A tall handsome boy appeared, he held a air of arrogance.

"You can follow me if you pass the exam, I promise you wont be treated bad." The boy smirked as he looked at them.

"Heh who said you would pass the exam." A ordinary looking boy sneered. His clothes were ragged and his face was dirty.

"My father is a Nascent Realm expert, of course I'm talented enough to pass a mere outer court exam." Ling Feng glared at him.

"However a commoner like you wont even make it past the first test." He added with a sneer.

Alastor looked at this seen with interest.

'A classic protaganist, he will kill this Lin Feng just for a few words that hurt him.' He couldn't help but chuckle at this scene.

"What are you laughing at?" Lin Feng looked at him with a dark face before it faded quickly when he saw Baihu under him.

"I apologize sir." He bowed lightly before avoiding him and sitting down quietly.

'Huh..Hm maybe Baihu is a Noble creature in this land.'

"Please gather if you are here for the examination." A loud voice sounded from a stage that appeared out of thin air.

"The exam will start now, please come to test your talent."

"Wen Cheng, C grade Earth root."

"Chen Sui, F grade water root."

.....

"Chu Yun, A grade Fire root." The elder smiled happily at the young girl in front of him.

'These youths are quite talented this year.'

"Lin Feng, S grade lightning root." The elder was stunned for a moment before smiling widely at the young boy.

(For clarification, someone with a C rank talent can make it to Nascent soul, even beyond if they are slightly lucky.)

Walking off the stage the ordinary boy from before looked at him with disdain as he bumped his arm.

"Chu Cheng, SSS grade light root." The elder was completely shocked now as he looked at the unassuming boy in front of him.

'They are too talented this year...'

Soon Alastor walked up, or was carried on Baihu's back. The elder frowned for a moment before smiling slightly and gesturing to the stone.

Putting his hand on the stone it shook violently before shining a bright silver.

"Alastor...SSSS grade t-time root..." The elder couldnt help but shake uncontrollably.

The handsome boy couldn't help but tremble at the genius he almost offended.

'Heh I'm a genius.' Alastor smirked with triumph.
