"Brain chips inserted."

The lifeless eyes of a young man suddenly flickered as the brain chips was inserted near the occipital bone spur of his head, while he was laying on a comfortable rejuvenation bed that constantly tries to remove any abnormality in his body. His arms strapped with a thick belt, preventing his body from moving away from the set position of the operator.

"He said that he wants to live in VU-01 for all his life?" A cyborg doctor asked his AI assistant with uncertainty.

"Yes. According to him, his life was already hopeless and he would rather live in another world where he can do anything he wants."

The AI assistant said with a sigh, seemingly capable of having emotions, while being attached to the cyborg doctor's neck, acting like a necklace.

"I see… That's just right. When I've read his biography, I thought that I would rather die than to experience his life." The Cyborg Doctor said, pitying the young man in front of him.

"Umm… Master, I'm sorry that I tried to sabotage our operation" The AI assistant said, feeling sorry.

"What do you mean by that!?" The Cyborg Doctor said, quite angrily.

"I've said that he will lose his memory in order to dissuade him." The AI assistant said, regretting.

After all, this young man will never escape the virtual universe forever, adding to the fact that what their doing is unethical and even illegal in their country.

"Ah… It's okay. That is just a piece of evidence that you probably gained free will. Hmmm… but he will be surely confused by the fact that he still have memory." The cyborg doctor said, not minding the fact that the AI tried to sabotage the operation.

He thought that the AI did another stupid mistake again, it was actually just a one last attempt of not letting the young man be stuck forever in a VU(Virtual Universe).

"Yes, of course! I have free will." The assistant said filled with emotions, trying to prove that it is sentient.

"Ha! In this world, everything is just a theory, we can't prove that we are sentient at all." The cyborg doctor said.

The AI assistant nodded and said, " Very well then, master."

The two continued to converse for a while until another AI assistant talked using a speaker said, "VU-01 is ready to be rendered"

"Render it now." The cyborg doctor said enthusiastically, He's been waiting for this moment, he spent 20 years of his life for this.

"Rendered. Should we make him an admin and allow him to customize the universe" The AI assistant from the speaker said.

The cyborg doctor is hesitant, he actually thought days and night if he should allow volunteers to be an admin, because there is 1 hidden bug that he detected, but can't find or fix. It's okay for him if it is something that can benefit the volunteers, but what if it was a malicious bug?

After thinking for a while, the cyborg doctor finally agreed to make Ben an admin, "Make him an admin, but constantly try to hunt that bug."

"Ben Alford-V01 Is now an admin."

The AI that uses the room speaker said, followed up by, "Attempt 9342 of finding the bug… Attempt 9341…"

"Don't cite the attempts." The cyborg doctor said and looked at the young man.

"Affirmative." The assistant said and stopped citing out loud the attempts

One of the chips that was protruding from Ben's head glowed intermittently, indicating that Ben was now an admin.

Then the cyborg doctor touched the necklace on his neck that contains the AI and said, "Transfer the soul to VU-01"
