I AM THE AUTHOR

"You can't do it." They all said, glaring down at her. "Why? I want to write a book." She said, wilting under their cold stares. "Just look at how you've fallen. How are you even going to write a book? This is all your fault." they chorused. Indeed, Seanae was sprawled on the icy cobblestones. Her scraped knees were bleeding waves of crimson. "B-but you're the ones who pushed me." She whimpered. Suddenly, they all went dead quiet. Seanae looked down, embarrassed. "You can't do it." They repeated. "You can't even pick yourself up." But she did. Slowly, she dusted off her knees and limped into a standing position. "You're wrong. I can do it, and I will," she told them. And with that, "English Rose" was published. ~~~~ Pls help dis rando author ;-; I have dirt bank account and dirt writing skills but gold imagination ~~~~ Please give me viewssssss art release every 5k *read till at least the second chapter before you decide to ditch it pls* - EVERY WEEKDAY (daily updates monday-friday and maybe on the weekends too?) I AM THE AUTHOR

CHAPTER FOURTEEN

"But, guess what! I'll be first blood this year!" I said, shoving my glowing hand in front of Levi's face. "Congratulations….?" Levi said slowly, sounding out every syllable, and I laughed. "Thanks. Anyway, I need an angel costume."

"Oh, that's easy. The tour guide can help with that." Levi said, dusting off his knees, and I squealed. YESSSS!

An hour later, I was sobbing into my hands as Levi sympathetically patted my back. The angel costume was heavy. actually, the costume itself was fine - just priest robes that had been spruced up a bit. The real problem was with the wings - 2 behemoth-looking iron frames coated in feathers. joins along the wings made them fully posable and flappable, but they added easily 3 pounds to each wing. Just looking at it was hurting my back - so when the shopkeeper strapped it on, I fell backward and crashed into Levi by accident. Now, I needed to stay sitting down or I feared I would actually collapse. "Dear, your eyes will get puffy and your voice will get hoarse. How are you going to sing if that happens?" the shopkeeper said, tone of voice cold and demanding. I wailed harder. Nooooo! Just my luck too.

"It's just for a few hours anyway," Levi said, and I frowned. That wasn't cutting it. "A FEW HOURS! THREE! ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY MINUTES STANDING UP!" I yelled, and Levi sighed.

"Whatever. Get up."

"Oooh! It's way bigger than I internally imagined!" I said, all my back problems thrown to the wind. "I never got to go to festivals before!" I said, standing in the middle of a bustling crowd and holding hands with Levi to not get lost.

"Me neither." Levi said, and then added, "What's so special about festivals anyway?" HUUUUUUUUUUUH?! What so special, you asked? Well, my fingers can take care of that. "Look. That person over there has no money because they lost it all to me in tic tac toe. That person is an overworked maid who hates her boss with a burning passion. That person is here with her kids, just enjoying life. Guess what they all have in common? they can here to forget their troubles and just go along with everything. That's how festivals work, and that's why I like them."
