(Life Hunter is a real Novel on Webnovel not behind a Paywall. AharaManyu the author wrote a great novel and a sequel named The Harvestor. Check it out as I will call back to it a bit.)
Following Samuel's successful escape to Texas, he fully warded off the farm the owners had abandoned because of the Dust Bowl and drought. To prevent people from entering he placed a unique barrier around his property.
The moment any humans stepped past the barrier they would be teleported to the other side with their memories altered to prevent them from questioning what happened. It was also much larger on the inside than the outside with the farm being a mere 120 Acres while on the inside was over 500 square miles or 320,00 acres.
That was possible thanks to his dimensional isolation research and space expansion spells. Not only would finding him be as hard as finding a pacifist Khrone Berserker, it also meant he could do his research in peace.
The bad news was that it was the 30s, meaning the Dust Bowl was still a thing that caused Dust Storms and Severe Drought. To end the drought on his land, he decided to create creatures who could end it. The first was a Water Dragon who could control the weather and cause severe rainfall to end the drought.
To better manage the water, he even had his Monsters dig a huge lake and when the rain filled it with water, he made a Water Elemental inside to manage the rainwater. In the end, the Water Dragon and Elemental worked together to return the flow of water to his territory.
Just rain wasn't going to be enough so he made a Wood Dragon to encourage the growth of trees and nature as he wanted his land to be full of nature as he liked it that way. Much like with the Water Dragon, he created a Dryad which along with the Wood Dragon began to encourage the regrow of life in his territory.
In a matter of days, life began to return to his drought-affected territory. All his monsters seemed to appreciate the return to nature. His barrier also allowed for the entry of animals so Deer, Squirrels, birds, raccoons, and many other critters went inside.
As for his living situation, it didn't take his Chaos Dwarves long to create something special. Through their magic, the Dwarves destroyed the old house and replaced it with what he could only call a mini castle. They had finished it in a matter of hours, in the time it took him to ward off his territory.
The castle was quite similar in architecture to the dark and dreary style the Chaos Dwarves liked. If he had to compare it to something, it reminded him of Dracula's Castle from Castlevania.
He wasn't even sure where they got the metal and stone from, but Chaos Dwarves were very resourceful. With his home now worthy of him, he decided to give it an upgrade and he created a powerful Demon to possess the Castle and give it life.
Once the Demon had fused with the castle, much like the original Castle, his could defend itself from intruders or those who displeased Samuel. Through magic, the Demon of the Castle created furniture and other things which was extremely convenient.
While Samuel hid himself away in plain sight, the Avengers who were still in this period began to search for him in secret. They could not risk causing large Temporal Events as even with Strange it could still be dangerous for the future.
Strange though knew that his Master should know he was here and he was wondering why she had not done anything about Samuel. She should know what would happen through his actions so her inactivity unnerved him.
He thought of going to visit her, but if she hadn't come to see him then he assumed she had her reasons. The more headache-inducing problem was that finding Samuel was impossible.
Even with the advanced technologies of Stark or Strange's sorcery, they couldn't find a trace. Even after three weeks of nonstop searching, they had no clues of him. They had gone to Alaska based on the stories of a 'No Man's Land' in the wilds and they had found tracks and other monster activity.
Even with that, they hadn't found anything they could use to lead them to Samuel himself. They also couldn't stay in the past forever as the longer they stayed, the more risk there was of them being discovered.
As such, they remained an extra two weeks, but even with all their efforts they found absolutely nothing. Samuel had holed himself up in his newly created Castle where he began to do further research into his magic.
He decided to put aside his caution and he began to delve into his study of Time and Space Magic, Life, Death, Darkness, and Light. He did not need to draw power from other Dimensions as his strength came from within and he didn't want to rely on outside sources.
His body produced all the mana he needed, but when he did need more he drew it from the universe. Other Dimensions could be more dangerous so he decided to avoid those in the meantime.
He stopped caring about what the Avengers did and after two months of self-study, he was sure the Avengers had returned to the future. When they were gone, Samuel who was currently in his study shirtless an immense gravitational wave started to place pressure on everything around him.
He wasn't fully alone as sitting on a couch was the Solitaire. However, she had picked the name Alicora which he didn't mind. She currently had her grinning clown mask off revealing a pretty elven face.
She had pointy ears like normal elves, not a bit shorter than normal. Long flowing silver hair, but a cold and emotionless look on her face. She also barely made a sound which he just attributed to her being a Solitaire.

Also sitting on the couch were two quite horrific-looking dogs. One was Baskerville and the other was Overgrown Rove the two monster dogs acting as Samuel's guard dogs while Alicora was his bodyguard.
At the moment, Samuel was merely conducting an application of Space and Time Magic together as he attempted to form the Infinity of Gojo Satoru as a means of round-the-clock defense.
While he didn't have the six eyes themselves, his own eyes were even better at seeing the flow of mana. This was just one of his experiments on a few subjects. It was a work in progress so he released his magic and landed on the ground.
When he opened his eyes he stood up before he reached up and caught his shirt. It had been tossed by Alicora from the couch.
"Thanks."
She gave him a simple nod before he put his shirt back on. He hadn't been sweating and even if he had, his sweat wasn't normal. Once he had his shirt back on, he walked over to the couch before he sat down himself.
After two months of self-study, he had the basics down on higher-level magic types and thanks to his race as a World Sage it just came naturally to him. He also took the example from the original novel and did this.
In his 9 years of isolation and self-study, he had found many types of magic. The first root elements were Water, Earth, Wind, Fire, Lightning, Spirit, Darkness, and Light. Then there were several non-elemental magics he had found.
Mind, Space, Time, Soul, Neutral, Life, and Death. Then there were combinations such as Gas, Lava, Wood, Steel, and many more he had detailed. These last two months had been to work on the next step as he had learned inside the novel Life Hunter.
The title of that novel was also a race of beings, Life Hunters who could feed on the life force of those they killed. Powerful beings who could become stronger than gods with Arimane the main character being the strongest ever.
He was the definition of overpowered done right as he created so many dangerous magics he wanted to recreate. While he didn't create it, there was another type of being in that novel called a Silver Emperor.
He knew the method to become one which was to combine the Core Elements along with Light and Darkness which didn't mix well. However, the method was so destructive that Arimane ended up destroying a planet to create it.
The good thing was that he knew what would happen, so he was planning to leap a Silver Emperor one of these days. His power would rise through the roof and if he could learn the secret of the Life and Death Hunters he could rapidly increase his power to face the most dangerous in this verse himself.
First thing first as he had plans to make it impossible to deal with him legally.
"Let's go, I need to call a meeting."
Alicora put her mask on as she got up along with the two monster dogs. Samuel waved his hand and teleported them outside of the castle. All around them was a giant forest with trees growing as tall as Red Wood Trees.
Many produced nuts, fruits, and a wide variety of food for him and his monsters. His monsters never fought and did not need food, but they did partake at times. Once he was outside, he sent out an order to his creations through their bond to him.
The moment he said that his creations began teleporting to his side. Doomsday, Alatreon, Fatalis, Balerion, Nergigante, Cannibal, Slifer, Fenrir, his Griffin he simply called Griffin. The Water Dragon, Water Elemental, Wood Dragon, and the Dryad appeared when he called.
They were not the only ones as a few new creations joined in. From deep underground a gigantic purple worm from DnD appeared along with the seven Chaos Dwarves who were mining deep underground for metals and precious gems. Along with them appeared a giant Diablos which helped in the digging that the Dwarves did.
As a lover of Monster Hunter, he even made a pickle otherwise known as a Savage Deviljoe. He had a love for giant monsters which meant that other than the Chaos Dwarves, Alicora, Doomsday, and the Dryad he had no more humanoid creations.
Not that he couldn't he just didn't as he was fine with having company in the form of monsters.
"Glad everyone could make it."
The largest was Slifer who was coiled on the ground like a type of snake. His monsters from Doomsday to the many monsters nodded as they would always answer when he called. He was their creator and lord as such his word was law.
"I truly believe the pesky Avengers have left us which means we are free to once again start sticking our noses where we don't belong. Of course, if we cause another large case of devastation or interrupt the course of history too directly they will come back to bother us.
If they do, we will be ready for them, but that isn't why I have called this meeting. The best course of action for us is to start building up my status in the American Government.
I can become so important or so dangerous to the American Government that they can never risk trying to get rid of me. To do so, I believe it is prudent to start calling out to the rich people.
Starting with one Howard Stark, Tony Stark won't be able to do anything to me if I become his Godfather after all. Hahaha, that is the benefit of immortality. What stops me from simply becoming your uncle when you're a baby? To do this, I need something new, a new force of my assassins and envoys."
He waved his hand as he began to pool his mana. His shadow began to grow as from it emerged his new creations. three Eldar Phoenix Lords, Asurmen, Maugan-Ra, and Jain Zar Phoenix Lords of the Dire Avengers, Dark Reapers, and Howling Banshees.
The three armor-wearing Eldar kneeled at him, but he wasn't done. He walked toward them he held their heads one by one as he created Artificial Souls for each of them. These souls were made by mixing Soul Energy from his soul with Spirit and Soul Magic to give them souls that could grow and adapt.
"There we are, I welcome you three to the world."
Asurmen, Jain, and Maugan lowered their heads toward him. Asurmen spoke first.
"What will you have us do, Master?"
"You three will become my Assassins and Envoys. Nothing speaks peace than sending a one-man army. Get used to your abillities, pronto as you will have a mission quite soon. That will be all, you may stand."
Once they stood up he walked off followed by Baskerville, Rover, and Alicora. He had other ideas so he planned to create his own Officio Assassinorum by creating different Imperial Assasins.
He could arm them by making their weapons alive which is how the Phoenix Lords had their gear and armor on them. It was simply a living creature that functioned as a weapon or armor.
He might as well go for the top and get in contact with FDR who would like the cure for his Polio Paralysis and help America in WW2 when it started as he would now use WW2 to spread his influence.
'Immortality is the best is it not.'
