Guy Crimson, the red primordial and one of the strongest in the world, was sitting in the meeting hall. With Rain behind him, he was waiting for the rest of the demon lords to arrive. He had heard the news from Velzard that her brother Veldora had disappeared. She was a bit angry at herself for not going to rescue him sooner, but in the end, she decided that maybe dying a couple more times will help her brother calm down.

A Walpurgis had been called about a new leader rising up in the Forest of Jura, and that new leader wanted to call himself a demon lord. He had no interest in weaklings so he would give the newly created true demon lord a chance to prove himself before deciding if he would be worth paying attention to or not.

Speaking of which, he was walking in. A tall Kijin walked in following Mizeri. Analyzing him the moment he walked in he started his assessment with godspeed calculation and his own analysis skill.

Skills: Has one ultimate… Wait, he has more than one ultimate skill. He did a great job in attempting to hide them yet there are still traces of the skills left, it shows inexperience in hiding them. He must have only obtained them recently. If I started a fight with him I could properly determine how many skills he has.

His essence carries the presence of Veldora. It felt as if he had just been spending time with him. Judging by the leftover essence and the day in which Veldora disappeared the chances that Veldora actually died are low. I will have to inform Velzard of this.

Quite the interesting slime. He has a friendly relationship with Ramiris. Now that my interest has been caught…'

The meeting eventually started and Clayman talked about Rimuru. Nothing he said was of much interest to Guy as he could tell that most of what he said were lies. The one thing that caught his interest was Milim's actions when she walked in. Was she so bored that she decided to play puppet for someone so weak? The actual thing that caught his attention was her reaction once Rimuru stepped in. Ever so subtle but it was plain as day in his eyes.

'Oh? Veldanava, you better watch out, someone is going to take your daughter. What would he think of this if he was still around...'

Not only Milim, but Valentine also had a surprised reaction on her face. With every second that passed Guy was given more reasons to keep an eye on Rimuru. By the time Clayman had finished talking, Guy was ready to see them fight.

Not only did Rimuru break Milim out of her acting with a few words, but he also defeated Clayman in just a few seconds. Consuming him before he could properly fight.

<<I apologize for how long it took, Master. I have just received reports from my servants and I have gathered as much information as we can about the person named Rimuru…>>

(Mc pov)

"I have no objections, just as I said, whoever can defeat the other can keep the title and the others land" Guy said

"I have no objections, if Guy approves then that is enough for me" said Dagruel

"None! I knew from the beginning that Rimuru would kick his ass!" Ramiris shouted excitedly.

"I don't care who becomes a demon lord." said Leon

"Don't care either, he's stronger than Clayman so…" Dino said leaning back on his chair, not bothering to finish his sentence.

"I have no objections" stated Roy Valentine.

"Zero objections! Rimuru is going to make a great demon lord!" said Milim while making an X with her arms.

Carrion awkwardly removed his mask and said. "No objections… We had a plan to deal with Clayman so that's why I was wearing the mask but I guess I didn't have to in the end… Actually, I would like to step down as a demon lord. Being defeated by Milim so easily and being here today has shown me how unqualified I am to call myself one. For now, I would like to step back and manage my country. Clayman was planning to attack Eurazania and I would like to see what the damages are before making any more decisions."

"Are you sure about that Carrion? I had taken a liking to you, I even expected you to awaken in a few hundred years." Guy asked.

"I am sure, I appreciate your concern but I have made my decision."

"Since Carrion has brought it up I would also like to step down as a demon lord. I too feel unqualified to be a demon lord. I want to ask Milim to take me in as her subordinate. Will you accept me?" Frey said.

"UH? Me? Why didn't you tell me about this before? What if we ruin our friendship if you become my subordinate? I don't want that to happen"

"That won't happen, Millim. Since we are going to be spending more time together once I become your subordinate, maybe we will become closer friends don't you think?"

"Alright, if that is really what you want I accept."

"With that done we can finally finish the meeting and start our dinner party"

"Wait, Now that we are down to eight it won't be the Ten Great Demon Lords anymore." The mood suddenly turned dark and everyone looked at me as if they wanted to kill me.

Milim launched towards me and screamed "Rimuru, what have you done?!?! We were about to begin to eat! Now we are going to be stuck in this room for days! Maybe months!"

"Wait wait, how about Octagram! You know, eight people. Keep it simple. And it sounds cool, no need to stress out about it…"

Once again the mood turned cheerful.

"Any objections? We can take the name and we don't have to worry about it. We can just start the feast." Guy stood up and said

"..."

"..."

A moment of quiet

"No"

"Nope"

"Zero"

…

"With everyone in agreement, let us start the feast!"

"If I may." Roy Valentine stood up. "It has come to my knowledge that one of my subjects had a small disagreement with Rimuru. I would like to request a private meeting with him to sort out the situation. I would ask after the feast but I have some things I have to be present for in my territory shortly, so it would be best if we took care of this now."

"There are some private meeting rooms you could use, Mizeri can guide you to them."

"Alright. Nyx, you have the food we brought from our country so you should stay here to let the other Demon Lords have a taste of our food."

"I understand, master."

Following Mizeri, we were taken to a different room. Once the door of the room was closed Luminous dropped the maid's disguise and changed to her black dress. Looking towards Roy she spoke.

"Head back now, this will probably take some time."

With those words, Roy turned into bats and disappeared.

"How much do you know? She should have talked to you by now. She said she would." Luminous said with an expectant face.

I was a bit thrown off guard by the casual revealing of her identity and the sudden question she asked.

"Who?"

"Do you know who is being contained in my castle? That's who, she said it would be safe to talk to you by now. So you should know."

"Chlo- I mean, Chronoa?"

"Yes! Rimuru, can you do it now? She told me to come to you. She said that you would be able to release her seal and that I had to make sure you do it before it was too late. She kept on reminding me to tell you that. You have no clue how long I have been waiting for this day.

She was so vague when it came to what would happen but she always said that the most important thing was to make sure you release her. She said that she would speak to you about it" Luminous was speaking with a lot of different emotions.

She was excited for the chance to bring her friend back. Stressed out because of how vague Chronoa was about the future and how long she had to wait. Worried that I may not be able to. And sadly, I had to burst her bubble.

"I can't yet…"

"Urgh" Luminous had taken critical damage. She sat on the couch and let out a small groan. "I have been waiting for so long. You don't know how it feels to know what is going to happen in the future but only given to you in vague terms and riddles. Time shenanigans they called it, had to make sure I followed a similar path as in their timeline. Being the only one who knows vaguely knows the future I had to be sure to not do any drastic changes, otherwise the 'Time Shenanigan' would happen."

I could understand her right now. Imagine you have a time-traveling friend that tells you something big will happen in around 1,500 years. But they won't tell you what will happen, only that you have to talk to this one person that doesn't exist yet and won't exist for over a thousand years. That they would be the key to something big that would happen, the one who could help your friend come back. You wait and wait and you finally get to talk to the person. I don't think most people could keep their calm.

After a few seconds, she stood up and organized herself. Taking in a deep breath she calmed down. Clearing her throat she spoke once again.

"I apologize for that, I couldn't hold myself back from asking any longer. Let's start again from zero. My name is Luminous Valentine. It is good to finally meet you, Rimuru Tempest."
