Chapter 65

A few seconds had passed since that terrible pressure had come down on him, and after those few seconds, it had died out. There was no more pressure, everything was perfectly normal. And when trying to hear something from inside the room, the old man realized that that terrible beast, which was there, disappeared as quickly as it came.

And realizing that she was apparently no longer there, the old man got up and began to clean the blood that had come out of his ears and noses. Right after he finished, even though he wasn't feeling or hearing anything inside the room, or even close to the house, the old man walked carefully towards the room. And he did this while feeling pain in various places in his body.

After arriving in the room, the old man looked directly at the bed, and saw that a good part of it was practically frozen, and also Noah's body on the floor beside the bed. Even with the pain all over his body, he quickly ran towards the bed, and was relieved that he could still hear the girl's unsteady breathing.

The old man placed his hand on her chest, and after keeping his eyes closed for a few moments, he managed to stabilize his breathing, after having also stabilized the flow of IQ in his body.

(Sigh…)

He looked around, and his expression clearly demonstrated his level of surprise and doubt, as he was wondering how it had all happened in there. A part of the ceiling was completely burned, as well as part of the room. Already the other part of the ceiling, was almost completely frozen, as well as a good part of the other half of the room.

The old man looked at Noah lying beside him, and thought '…What did you do in this place?…' As he crouched down and placed his right index finger in front of Noah's nose, to see if he was still alive .

'…It looks like we're not the only ones with secrets…'

'…But if this boy managed to do something that even he couldn't do, something we thought was practically impossible… how frighteningly powerful can he be in the future?…'

'…Well, I'm afraid I'm not there to see this, but I might be able to…'

He took Noah in his arms, got up and walked slowly towards the other side of the bed. And while he was thinking '… Maybe he can reassure her… not today… but maybe someday…' the old man slowly laid Noah down beside the girl.

*********

"…"

"What the fuck. where am I?" asked Noah, waking up in a place in complete darkness.

He looked around but couldn't see anything but the intense pitch around him. And not understanding what was going on, Noah started yelling "Hey! System!"

"Hey idiot! And that conversation that you should always be with me?"

"…Damn it!" exclaimed Noah, realizing that he wouldn't get an answer.

(Sigh…)

"…"

"…Shit!!"

Almost immediately after this scream, a strong, blinding light appeared flying a little way away from Noah. He lifted his hand, and placed it just above his eyes, so they covered even a little of that strong glow.

That light was already really strong, and strangely it was getting more and more. And as it rose higher and higher, and it grew more and more dazzling, almost as if this was the birth of a little sun in that place. A big, strong light, in the midst of darkness.

But that light started to get too bright, and Noah's hand was no longer doing anything, because even with it in front of his eyes, it looked more like he was looking straight into the center of that strange light. And as the light grew stronger and stronger, Noah saw no other option if he didn't start pulling away.

And after taking a few steps back, Noah was stopped by something like a wall. But that wall looked very strange, it didn't seem to be made of bricks or even boards. It sure looked a lot more like something like scales.

Noah ran his hand over it, and actually shivered a little as he realized that it really was scales. He walked forward not even bothering with the light, turned after a few steps, and slowly started to take his hand away from his eyes.

"…"

"Aaaaahh!!"
