The next day.

Inside the royal court of Kaedwen, a fierce debate was taking place between Tetra Gilcrest and Illiana Zerbst.

"The two witchers should be tried and executed. No questions asked." Tetra's voice was loud and clear.

"Silly me." Zerbst broke, "Here I thought trails were all about questions."

"These two killed ten of your guard, your highness. You'd let that stand?" Tetra said.

"Sire, the barkeep claims your knights instigate the altercation. Only to be resolved by the interventions of Lord Viz an Brokvar." Illiana Zerbst continued, "But when lord Viz an Brokvar left the inn, the barkeep claims your knights to conduct an unlawful arrest."

"These witchers were defending themselves." Illiana moved a little to the side.

King Dagread was listening carefully.

It wasn't a matter of two lives… it was a matter of ten lives.

"The people's faith in the monarchy already wavers dude to the forest attacks." tetra walked towards Illiana, "Now they'll hear the crown waxed idly as two monsters shed knighted blood."

"So we should go to war with the witchers?" Illiana looked into Tetra's eyes as she said, "If only so you can make them what you fear?"

"They are deadly. On that, we agree, Tetra." Illiana said. "And such a battle would flood Kaedwen red."

the court members were a bit startled, but everyone knew what Madam Illiana Zerbst said was true.

Tetra mocked, "The Assembly should remember the lady's seat here is honorary."

"Yet it is still my chair." Illiana responded in a serious tone.

"Earned by her body. Not by Blood or title." Tetra's eyes were sharp.

And galled the King's anger, as the king slammed his hand down on his chair "Gods, quiet!"

"I'll have my knights kill you both for the sake of my ears."

"Tetra's right, actually, sire." Illiana said. "Your subjects expect actions."

"what if you act on two fronts with one move?"

"Clear out our forests while also avoiding war with the witchers?"

The next morning,

After having a cordial talk with Lanna's husband, his little informants informed Viz that Vesemir and Luka got arrested.

Viz cursed!

Fuck! he lost money!

He should have let those two bastards get arrested from the start!

He, Viz an Brokvar, finally managed to create a win-win situation for both parties…

The knights get their lives saved; Luka and Vesemir weren't arrested.

But now these two bastards made the situation even worse!

They fucking killed an entire team of knights, before getting arrested!

Should I admire their power, or should I scream at their foolishness?

Viz knew it was not time to waste, so he paid a visit to Zerbst's house. To know the details of what had transpired at the court, Illiana Zerbst revealed to him, and then he knew the situation wasn't looking good for Luka. Even with the support of Illiana Zerbst, Luka barely avoided getting beheaded but got himself a life imprisonment.

King Dagread seems furious this time.

As for Vesemir, Illiana fished him out by suggesting an arrangement to king Dagread.

A lover's bond is stronger than a stranger's bond.

So, Viz saved Luka, anonymously.

He had to use the sewers to infiltrate the prison. The sewer's smell was awful!

Covering himself in the hood, which reminded Viz of Assassin's creed from his previous life.

A little of Axii and a bit of Somne made Viz's confrontation easy. After he found Luka, he directly teleported with Luka to the forest outside of Kaedwen.

Then Viz gave a good beating to Luka, making his eyes dark as an owl and his face puffy as a pig! Even if Luka begged him for mercy, Viz didn't stop, and only after feeling satisfied with his thrashing, Viz left Luka and followed Vesemir's and Tetra's trail before eventually he found them.

But He didn't greet them, he followed them stealthily.

Because Viz had some doubts, with his Axii cast on knights, Viz was sure the knights should have woken up a day later, forgetting about the incident that happened the previous day.

But the knights themself suddenly woke up from his Sign?!

Viz said, impossible!

Then the only possibility was someone broke his sign!

Viz made a wild guess.

Vesemir and Luka not getting arrested was actually a change in the foretold future, and someone doesn't want this to happen.

But who??

Master mirror, Avallac'h, lady of the lake, vampire elder, Queen of Fields…

Many names came to his mind, but Viz couldn't guess who it was, and felt Nah man, this guess was not possible. But to be on the safe side, he followed Vesemir and Tetra to the Elven Ruins.

To make sure his guess was wrong.

Vesemir blabbered non-stop, annoying tetra but it wasn't boring, and In fact it made the Journey lively.

There wasn't any illusion this time, and they soon found the Elven Ruins, or what left of it.

"The power needed to cause such destruction." It amazed Tetra.

"Only a Djiin could cause such destruction." Vesemir said seriously.

Tetra nodded her head, "But why would a Djiin cause such destruction at this place?"

Viz, who was secretly following them, heard it, and thought to himself,

'How rude!

Calling me a Djiin.

I am just a tad bit powerful, that's all.'

But his eyes narrowed as his eyes found an architecture, an elven teleportation gate.

Viz was sure he flattened everything here, but why was there an Elven teleportation gate present here, that too, with a magic crystal in it?

As if it is ready for a teleportation to some unknown place.

Vesemir and Tetra has at to find this teleportation portal.

Viz came to this teleportation portal.

Now that it seems someone truly wants to re-correct the future, Viz changed his plan.

He created a spherical shield around this Elven gate before tweaking it with some additional spells. Before turning himself into a crystal embedded locket.

Then the locket flew and landed on a rock, covered itself invisible with an illusion. Enough to only be found barely by a mage with a strong caliber.
