Downcasted, panicking and curious

Turning the steering wheel as he takes a drift, Grayson took a deep breath. He surely deserves every hatred his family gives him and he's ready to digest it all.

Unknowing to him, there was a speed-braker at the spot he drifted but because he was on a high speed, soaking his soul out and going through all kind of thoughts in his head, he ended up losing control.

His eyes widen as he bumped a bit on his seat. He quickly stomped his foot on the brakes but being it a very smooth road without any prickles of stones holding back his tyres, he car drift off towards a dangerous direction.

He panicked as his heart pounds faster. He was having a hard time controlling the steering wheel. There was nothing wrong with his vehicle before he moved it out of his son's garage.

Bumping up and down, he was heading for the streetlights which were connected to an electromagnetic pole of cables.

Oops! Now his heart tells him negative things and he hopelessly complied to it, even when he is trying to rebuke the upcoming scene.

Unfortunately for him, the unexpected happened and then boom! On the pole.

The next morning,

Calvin and Nelly's wedding day.

Inside the church

The moment Calvin saw his soon-to-be wife walking down the aisle with her uncle beside her, he grinned and straightened his blazer.

"It is time for you to become a full man now my son." Patting his shoulder, Calvin's father Jasper said.

Taking a deep breath, Calvin smiled, "Thanks dad. This was the exact moment I've dreamed off. I always wanted a life journey full of fulfilments with Nelly."

"And now that you're standing before the holy altar, stop getting nervous and buckle up your shoes before the vows."

Rubbing his palms together, Calvin took a deep breath and vigorously nodded his head. He was nervous but why is he? It's his big day and that of Nelly's too. His palms are growing cold and his feet too. Just like the same way he felt when his son Nicholas was born.

He doesn't want to start getting cold feet right now. What if Nelly is feeling the same way too? Well, he doesn't think so from the grinning and brightly looking woman whom is few inches to his standing position.

Stopping right in front of him, Nelly gave her soon-to-be husband a shy smile. She's ready for this but somewhat feeling nervous. When Collins noticed Calvin's wiggly hands, he chuckled.

Taking Nelly's hands, he combined it with Calvin's. "Hey, why are you two getting all nervous?" When Nelly lowered her head timidly, he patted her shoulder, "I understand. Besides it's your big day, make it count and put on a proud look on." Without waiting for their replies, Collins smiled and left alongside with his friend in-law Jasper.

Meanwhile, in the midst of the congregations, Petra was busy searching her purse for her phone. Almost scattering everything out of her purse and she didn't care as what she needed it for was something urgent.

Finally she found it and quickly make a text. After the incident that happened last night, she had been trying hard to reach her husband but his phone was switched off. Maybe he needed some time and privacy, she didn't call untill this morning when his phone iterated the same thing over and over again.

She's worried, downcasted, panicking and curious to know what's happening. Is he alright? Then why is his phone switched off? If only she had the contact number of his mansion's cell phone.

Tossing the phone into her purse, she sighed and turned towards the other row's direction where are son, her daughter in-law and her son's friends was. She could see a very bright smile and cheerfulness of happiness written allover his face. It's his younger sister's big day today but what about yesterday?

Yesterday after he kicked his father out of the mansion, she cried herself all through the night and he never cared to console her.

On the contrary, Sebastian would never want to see a drop of water wasting out of his mother's eyes. He always gets to the root of her problems and fight for her. But not untill last night, he was completely arrogant and cruel. He allowed his mother weep her guts out. Though he knows why she was sobbing and for Petra she thought her son will come to her as before and pets her before granting her wish.

Her daughter in-law was the only one who comforted her and coax her all through the night and he never came back to the room to them. Infact after Sebastian left the room, he slept in one of the random rooms in the mansion.

Patting her friend's lap, Laura smiled and gave her a slight nod, "Cheer up, okay?"

Giving her a weak smile which faded away quickly, Petra sighed, "Am trying. It's just that-- I have a bad feeling. What if something has happened to him? What if my Grayson is in a very terrible situation and he needs help?"
