Chapter 3 Dwarf Petty Mind Eye!
Ybur felt a bout of dizziness.
During the past ten or so days of the journey, Ybur had imagined countless times what the Floating Fortress might look like, but it was only at the moment of seeing it with his own eyes that he realized all his past imaginations were far too gentle—the Dwarf fortress possessed a grandeur and wild spirit far beyond anything he had imagined!
"Such a fortress... How did it disappear from history later on?" Ybur muttered to himself.
"It was a civil war."
Macall emerged from his Mage Tower at some point, floating out and gazing up at the fortress above.
He said in a low voice, "The Dwarves once had five great royal families, corresponding to their five ancestral gods, but there were fourteen fortresses. Although the Dwarves are rough and honest, they are actually a very petty race. The power held by each royal family was different, which brought about gaps, and later these gaps evolved into a civil war..."
