Chapter 29 Familiar
"Sherry, what is that?"
The dark eye spots on Ybur's body narrowed, looking as though they revealed a sharp gaze.
"...it's not a regular animal." The "Survival Guide" vibrated slightly within it.
"I could see that for myself!"
Ybur read emotions in the bat's eyes that were as rich as a human's, including a touch of mockery and a sense of superiority as if it were looking down from a great height.
...It felt like it was being scorned.
Damn, that's annoying!
Ybur was frustrated.
I see you're on the path to your own demise!
"Most likely a Familiar," Sherry said, "Do you need me to explain what a Familiar is?"
"No need, I just happened to have read that part." Ybur said.
Familiars are servants that follow vocational practitioners, essentially creatures from the Dream Realm that follow contracts, led into the bodies of living creatures in the Material World, appearing just like ordinary small animals, but with a high degree of intelligence.
