I'm Otsutsuki Toneri

Yet another bland and normal day pass. The sound of my neighbors speaking to their children before they went to school and the sound of car horns on the road.

Every day it's been like this. No changes. Eat, sleep, work, and repeat. The cycle never ends.

Remembering how naïve I was back in high school imagining about living a fulfilling life and not getting stressed about it, I have to admit, I was foolish.

My current situation is the complete opposite of my imaginations.

After graduating high school, I entered college and picked the course Computer Hardware Engineering and Networking. Because if there is anything I'm good at in my life— that is using gadgets.

After 4 gruesome years of cramming and all-nighting, I graduated.

Shortly after, I searched online and offline for a job, which I managed to find one.

And that's where the endless cycle began. Working from 7am to 10pm. Overnighting to gain a few more money for the apartment I'm eyeing for.

After a year of still living in my parent's house, I finally moved out. I moved to a condominium near my work, and I have to say that I am quite satisfied with it.

And so, moving to my new house, nothing much changed. Eat, sleep, work, and repeat.

My only safe haven is Sundays and Christmas when we will get a few days to leave. And during those times, I would either just laze around my bed or watch anime on my phone.

- At work -

Another overnight.

The dark circles around my eyes are visible and the coffee beside me is slowly turning cold.

'I need to finish this before Monday or else I'm gonna have another scolding.'

I was currently working I the new project the company I'm working on is developing. And let me tell you, it's tiring as hell.

I picked up my mug and drank all the coffee inside of it.

'I need more coffee'

I stood up from my seat and went for the stairs, but before I could arrive near it, I suddenly felt dizzy and all I could remember was the mug in my hand shattering.

I fell to the ground and had an insane headache attack me. I blacked out.

- Somewhere in another dimension -

"Another one died," said a white humanoid figure with no facial features

"Place them there" another white humanoid figure said

"Here's another on— huh? Hey come look at this soul"

"What are you talking about? You're not making excuses for lazing around, are you?" Doubted the other white humanoid figure

"No you shithead, just look" said the white humanoid figure angrily

The other humanoid figure went near the other and looked at the new soul that just arrived.

The soul was in a form of a ball. But for some reason, its color is different. Usually, souls that will come here are colored either white or dark, but this is the first time a blue soul appeared.

"What kind of soul is that? There have never been any records of blue souls before"

"Could it be a new type of soul?"

"No that's impossible."

"What are we gonna do it? Should we keep it here or let it be reborn?"

"..."

The other humanoid figure stayed silent.

Then, it suddenly curled up a non-existent smile and looked at the other figure

"Hey, when was the last time we had fun with souls?" Excitedly said the humanoid figure

The other humanoid, hearing the other, immediately got what it meant.

"Again?"

"Again."

"Hah... Alright."

Then, the other figure summoned a wheel with many words on it.

"Well then, let's spin the wheel, shall we?"

Then, it started spinning the wheel. It took a minute before it finally stopped and landed on the word 'Solo Leveling'

"Oh my, a world with a difficulty of S, quite the challenge for this soul, isn't it?"

"Well then, why don't we give it the power to defend itself?"

Then, the words on the wheel changed and the names of people appeared. The figure once more spun it and landed on a name.

'Ōtsutsuki Toneri'

"Not bad for a power, I think?"

"I think it's pretty decent for the world this soul is about to enter."

"You sure?"

"Yeah"

"Alright, let's send him now, shall we?"

After that, a black void appeared below the blue soul and It disappeared

"What do you think will the outcome become?" Asked the white humanoid figure going back to its post

"I don't know... It won't be fun to look at the future now, will it?"

"Mm, I guess you're right"

- Somewhere in South Korea -

'Urgh, fuck what the hell happened.'

A white-haired person is sitting under a tree.

He has beautiful pale-white skin and ice-blue eyes that accompany them giving him a beautiful look. A messy white hair that completes the look

He is wearing a white ceremonial Kimono with a yellow sash tied over his right shoulder. On the back of the Kimono, a crest depicting a sun enclosed in a crescent moon.

Beneath his robes, he wears battle attire, including black fingerless gloves and sandals. Six magatama designs are tattooed on his chest, resembling the necklace worn by Hagoromo.

The young man looked at his surroundings expecting his colleagues gathered around him because he fell, only to be met with a tree and a setting sun.

"Huh?! Where am I?!

The young man screamed in panic.

He looked around him to see if he knows where he is. And in the distance, he could see tall buildings

"Where am I? And why am I here?"

The young man is seriously panicking.

"Could I have been kidnapped?!"

"No, wait, why would anyone kidnap me and drop me off somewhere?"

He looked around and saw a puddle nearby. He went to it to check his physical condition.

After arriving, he expected to see a person around the age of 20's with dark hair and black eyes, only to be greeted with a white-haired beautiful kid

"Who are you?!"

Yelled the young man

'What the hell is seriously happening?! Am I dreaming?! That wasn't my reflection!'

The young man tried to calm himself

"Alright, alright. Calm down. Assess the situation first and figure out a way to fix it."

The young man took a deep breath and released it

"Alright. Retrace your steps. I was working on a new project then... I went for a new cup of coffee. I tried to exit the floor by going down the stairs to buy coffee... but I felt weak and fell down. After that, everything went black... And I woke up under a tree."

The young man said while counting his fingers.

He once again looked at his reflection in the water.

"Now, who are you?" Asked the young man

He observed the features of the white-haired person, that is his reflection, in the water.

Suddenly, an idea popped out to him, and he muttered a name

"Ōtsutsuki... Toneri?"

A single name. But the young man's face was in utter disbelief.

"No that's impossible... That's-..."

But his words were interrupted when a person wearing a black mask and a black hoodie appeared behind him. He held his knife on the back of the young man

"Don't move, kid. If you don't want to die, give me everything you have"

'What the hell is this saying?! Do I look like I have something on me?!'

The young man tried not to move or else he'll get stabbed by a robber.

Suddenly, he remembered a video on YouTube telling instructions in case something like this happened.

The young man then swiftly turned around and tried to grab his knife and push him away. But, instead of being pushed a few short meters, he was blown a few hundred meters away.

"That's! No way... No absolutely bloody hell way... I can't be wrong about it. That was... Shinra Tensei!"

One of the abilities of the Tenseigan, the eyes of Toneri, is similar to the Rinnegan, and that is the Deva Path which lets the user manipulate gravity and use a 'Push' and 'Pull' ability. But besides the Deva Path, no other abilities of Tenseigan are similar to Rinnegan.

"Does that mean... I really turned to Ōtsutsuki Toneri?"

"Is this perhaps... The transmigration thing I've read about online? I can't believe that it really happened to me..."

The young man then looked at his current attire

"I should probably... Change my clothes. I look too eye-catching"

He then approached the person who tried to rob him earlier and strip him of his clothes. Also taking his money, which the young man's surprise, was South Korean currency.

"So I'm in Korea... But which one? South or North? I hope I'm in the south..."

He then took out the wallet of the robber and checked his I.D, and surprisingly again, he understood the words written on it.

"Odd... I can understand the language even though I haven't spoken it before..."

He looked at the man's information and found out that he was in South Korea. He was relieved.

He then wore all the robber's clothes and left him under a tree with only his boxers on

"Heh."

After that, he left what he found out was a park and wandered aimlessly

[Toneri's POV]

Holy hell, just how did I end up here? Did I really just perhaps transmigrated?

I'm just walking aimlessly in the crowd of people here in South Korea. I hid my white hair with the robber's black cap, but my pale-white skin is too eye-catching. Not to mention my eyes...

I kept getting gazes from people either by cautiousness or awe. I even heard a camera snapped and saw two girls taking a picture of me.

Anyways, I just walked along the path not knowing where I'll end up to.

Then, I saw a bunch of televisions behind a glass display that was playing the news. Many people also gathered and listened

Not knowing what's going on, I also looked at it. But what I heard shocked me to my very soul.

"THE NEW 10TH S-RANK HUNTER HAS BEEN REVEALED TO BE A HUNTER NAMED SUNG JIN-WOO!"

'...'

'Eh?'

Oi! Sung Jin-Woo?! As in THAT Sung Jin-Woo from the manhwa?!

No way, no freaking way... DID I GET TRANSMIGRATED TO SOLO LEVELING?!

My jaw dropped at the scene on the television of Jin-Woo leaving the sight of the camera and reappearing behind them while putting on his hood

'It's... Exactly like what happened in the manhwa...'

Remembering all the crazy things that will happen in the future, I sighed.

'Monarchs and Rulers will come in the future... Will I be safe with Toneri's abilities?'

But, I did not give up. I don't know if the Tenseigan can guarantee my safety, so my only plan right now is to get as close as possible to Jin-Woo. Why? Because he has the Main Character buff of course.

And in order to do that... I too need to be an S-Rank Hunter.
