Chapter 1: New Life

After 7 years...

Catherine POV

It's been a long time since that happened to me. Until now, I remember it very well. Maybe because I want an answer like 'why he lie to me' or 'why he didn't show up to our place' and so on... they have so many questions that I need an answer. Still, I promise to myself I should forget him that's why for all those 7 years I tried to forget him and I did... but sometimes I find myself thinking of him.

"Cath have you decided to attend our Reunion? Come to think of it, you didn't attend our Reunion for the last 7 years, our classmates ask me about you, 'why you didn't attend our reunion?' and it makes me crazy to come up some idiot reason." I sighed to her in front of my laptop.

"I'm busy. I don't have anytime to attend that kind of event." I said to her while I signed some papers in front of me.

"You know what ever since he left you. You always like to be alone. I am your bestfriend Cath and I'm just worried about you." I stop to sign those papers and I face her.

"I'm okay. It just that I need distraction to forget him." It is true. Those 7 years, I worked very hard to become a cosmetology and open a makeup line. Through all my hard work my business become success.

I just thought that those years become my escape from my past that I really wanted to forget.

" Okay if that's what you want then-" I cut her before she finish what she saying.

"I'll go." Catherine this is good for you, this your step on how to forget him.

"Ahhh... YOU SERIOUS?! I'm gotta go to tell our Classmates. Bye Catherine!" She hung up the video call.

Is this right?

I check the time and it is now 1:24 am. I didn't know that is now past midnight and I didn't eat dinner. I grab my bag before I go out to my building then I go to parking lot where my car is parking then there's my black porsche 718. I get in to my car then I started the engine while I'm driving along the road, I received a call from Hero - my bestfriend since College. I accept the call while I'm driving.

"Are you sleeping?" I just laugh maybe he thought that I am in my house right now.

"No, but I'm on my to my house to sleep. Why?" I said in a funny tone.

"Did you work overtimde again? Catherine, did I remind you that do not over work yourself. You can have -" I cut him then I continue of what he wanted always to say to me.

"Fatigue. You always so stubborn -" I copy of what he said to me all the time

"Hey, di you mock on me?" I just laugh to him. I really love to tease him. He's reall like my father.

"Okay! Okay! I promise I will not do it again. I swear." If I see him his face right now. I maybe laugh at him because everytime he scold me. He look-like my father who scold her daughter. I just hold back laugh with that thought.

"Okay, but don't forget our dinner tomorrow."

"Yes dad. BYE!" I said then I hung up. I just laugh of what that I said.

After several minutes. I'm now arrived at my parking lot area. I open my door car then I walk inside of my house.
